Deuteronomy 3:24 • John 17:24
Caught in a pattern, a quiet hum A yearning deep, for what's to come A sense of purpose, out of reach Why this long wait, what does it teach? My spirit restless, seeking Your hand For a specific dream, a promised land.
O Lord, Your greatness, Your mighty hand so true What God in heaven or earth can do what You do? A sovereign "no," a holy "not yet" I embrace To draw me closer, to Your glorious space. You loved me, Father, before the world began And You orchestrate a far grander plan.
Like Moses gazing, from Moab's height The promised blessing, just out of sight A fervent plea, a deep desire Met with Your wisdom, a sacred fire. His exclusion underscored, a greater need A perfect Mediator, sowing eternal seed.
O Lord, Your greatness, Your mighty hand so true What God in heaven or earth can do what You do? A sovereign "no," a holy "not yet" I embrace To draw me closer, to Your glorious space. You loved me, Father, before the world began And You orchestrate a far grander plan.
Then ages later, on holy ground Moses met Jesus, His glory found. "Father, I will that they be with Me," He prayed Behold Your glory, no longer delayed. Every earthly sorrow, a divine signpost bright Leading to joy, in Your eternal light.
O Lord, Your greatness, Your mighty hand so true What God in heaven or earth can do what You do? A sovereign "no," a holy "not yet" I embrace To draw me closer, to Your glorious space. You loved me, Father, before the world began And You orchestrate a far grander plan.
So I'll be patient, though longing may grow Trusting Your timing, letting Your wisdom flow. My "holding pattern," it breaks by Your grace Beholding Your glory, in this sacred space. To be where You are, forever I yearn Your love everlasting, at every turn.
