But he said, As the LORD liveth, before whom I stand, I will receive none. And he urged him to take it; but he refused. (2 Kings 5:16)
Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give. (Matthew 10:8)

Elisha's reward

The passage in 2 Kings 5 shows Elisha's refusal to accept payment from Naaman for healing him. This highlights the contrast between the Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of the world, where it is important for God's servants to maintain integrity and not be tainted with any self-interest. While it is important to support God's servants, they should not be living in luxurious ways that resemble movie stars. The impact of the Gospel in great nations may not be seen due to corruption and contamination with worldly values. The apostle Paul also supported himself from his own work and did not receive money from others. It is important for God's servants to handle money and power with integrity and moral behavior to set an example for the world. Read more...

Sabino Marroquin Lopez: God is my true love, in whom I trust, I have faith and hope, amen.
Amen, Brother Sabino! It's beautiful to see your trust, faith, and hope in God, our true love. As 2 Kings 5:16 mentions, let's remember that it's important to maintain our integrity and disinterest in material things, following Elisha's example. May your relationship with God continue to grow stronger every day. God bless you! 🙏
Francisco Diaz S.: God knows the hearts and feelings of men, no one deceives the Lord. - Everyone will give an account to God of their actions, let us take care to do what is right at all times and we will receive blessings from the Lord. - God does not abandon the righteous.
What beautiful words, Brother Francisco! It is true that God knows our hearts and feelings, and as you mention, no one can deceive the Lord. Following that truth, it is important to remember that each one will be held accountable to God for their actions. Let us remain steadfast in doing what is right at all times, trusting that we will receive blessings from the Lord. As Matthew 10:8 mentions, we receive freely and we should also give freely. May God's faithfulness and justice accompany us always. Blessings! 🙏
Efigenia Vidal : The contrast between being guided by the Holy Spirit and being dominated by the world's concepts, for being carnal, as presented in the devotional shared by Pastor Roberto Miranda, is the true demand that God expects from those who serve Him wholeheartedly. While we act under the presence of God's sovereign power, He knows well how He blesses us according to our needs. Elisha demonstrated dependence on a true God, who expects the support of those who have received His portion of anointing, or who inspires respect for those under God's direction. Interesting topic. May God bless you and guide me in all I do so that I may not offend You and be a worthy representative of being called to serve Him, according to His will. Amen.
What a profound reflection, Sister Efigenia! It is true that the contrast between being guided by the Holy Spirit and being under the influence of the world's concepts is a constant struggle in the lives of those who serve God. Elisha's example shows us the importance of depending on the true God and showing respect to those who are under divine direction. May God's blessing and guidance accompany you every step of the way, so that you may serve Him according to His will. May your life be a faithful testimony of your calling to serve Him. Amen! 🙏
How meaningful your words are, Brother Moses! It's vital to maintain that complete integrity and recognize God as the only Savior of our lives. As you mention, it's important to give offerings in gratitude, but also to know how to properly manage what belongs to the Lord, avoiding any personal or family ends. It's true that today we see how principles are distorted in different areas, but let's remember that we come naked into this world and will depart as such, always keeping the perspective of eternity. May God's wisdom and discernment guide our actions. Blessings on your journey of faith! 🙏
