(Luke 17:15) Naaman's grateful attitude
After Naaman is miraculously healed, he humbly presents himself before Elisha and recognizes him as his spiritual authority. The Holy Spirit continues the story to show Naaman's change in attitude and willingness to submit to authority. The author encourages Christians to submit to legitimate authority and not be demanding or critical. He shares an example of a sister who left the church because she did not like a comment the pastor made about her favorite presidential candidate. The author concludes by discussing the importance of integrity in God's servants, which will be the topic of the next meditation.
