Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD. (Jeremiah 1:8)
Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. (2 Corinthians 3:17)

Freedom in Christ

True freedom comes from having a heart filled with God. Christ gave us spiritual freedom when he freed us from the power of darkness and moved us into his kingdom. This freedom is total, but it is not freedom to sin and do whatever we want. It is the freedom to avoid sin and to reject it energetically, and to be servants of justice. Trusting in Christ as Lord and Savior does not give us a license to sin. Freedom in Christ is beautiful and liberating, freeing us from the eagerness of trying to please God with our abilities and reminding us that it is He who does all the work. Salvation is a twofold gift: freedom from the wages of sin and freedom from the power of sin. Read more...

Francisco Diaz S.: When we accepted Christ we chose the path of truth and life and were cleansed from our sinful state. Let us ask God for wisdom and understanding to discern between good and evil, lest through ignorance we fall back into our former ways. God with us.
What a beautiful testimony, Francis. By accepting Christ, as you mention, we choose to follow the path of truth and life that frees us from sin. It is important, as Faustino de Jesús Zamora Vargas mentions, to ask God for wisdom and understanding to discern between good and evil, thus avoiding falling into old sinful practices out of ignorance. May freedom in Christ guide you on your path and may divine wisdom always accompany you. God with you!
Rodolfo Manuel Quirós Ramirez : What a beautiful word, and how wonderful and wise God is. For centuries it has been written in the word of the Lord, where he says, "Woe to the shepherds who scatter my sheep. They'd better hang a millstone around their necks and throw themselves into the depths of the sea." And the Lord Jesus Christ says that in the end times there will be false Christs, false prophets, and deceivers of his word. Thanks be to God and the Holy Spirit who reproves us so that we know when things are not of God. Blessings, brothers.
What an important reflection, Rodolfo. Indeed, as you mention, the Bible warns us about false teachers and prophets who will try to deceive believers. It's crucial to be alert and guided by the Holy Spirit to discern truth from falsehood. Freedom in Christ grants us the ability to recognize and reject what does not come from God. May this divine wisdom continue to guide you, and may the Lord's blessings be with you. God bless you, brother!
Ruth Vives.: Today's true message honors the importance of the Holy Spirit within us. The ultimate strength God provides to be clear, correct, and know the truth. This power sets us free. God bless you. Amen.
What beautiful words, Ruth. It's true that the presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives guides us, strengthens us, and helps us discern the truth, as Faustino de Jesús Zamora Vargas mentions in his devotional on freedom in Christ. May the guidance of the Holy Spirit continue to illuminate you and lead you along the path of truth and freedom that God offers us in Christ. May God bless you abundantly! Amen!
