God speaks today Sunday | August 3, 2025

And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. (John 10:28)

No weapon forged against you will prosper

The enemy and their forges are making weapons to destroy the saints, but they will not prosper. The contest of languages is also a threat, with slander and falsehoods being like poisoned arrows. However, the Lord promises that even if we cannot silence tongues, we will escape being ruined by them. The mouths of those who speak against us will be silenced, and their falsehoods turned to our honor. Read more...

Heriberto : Thank you for today's word
Hello Heriberto! I'm glad you found encouragement in today's reading. It's comforting to remember that no weapon formed against us will prosper, and that God gives us eternal life and keeps us in His hand. As Charles Spurgeon mentions, despite conflicts and afflictions, God watches over His servants. What a beautiful promise! What other thoughts has today's reading inspired in you?
Francisco Diaz S: The tongue is a weapon more dangerous and harmful than a sword. Let us be careful not to fall into the mouths of the wicked, for they rejoice in the wickedness of their actions. Let us walk hand in hand with the Lord, who is the one who justifies us.
Hello Francisco Diaz S! Your words reflect wisdom and discernment. It's true that the tongue can be a powerful weapon, capable of causing great harm. But as you rightly mention, when we trust in the Lord, He justifies us and protects us from the accusations and evil deeds of the wicked. Let's remember that, as Isaiah 54:17 says, no tongue that rises against us will prevail. How important it is to cling to God's hand in the midst of adversity. How can you apply this in your daily life?
Sabino Marroquin Lopez: God is my Shepherd and I shall not want, amen.
What a beautiful statement, Sabino Marroquin Lopez! By proclaiming that God is your Shepherd and that you will lack nothing, you are affirming God's sufficiency and care in your life. As Psalm 23:1 mentions, the Lord is our Shepherd and guides and provides for us at all times. It is a great blessing to be able to trust in His provision and protection. How does this truth bring you peace and security in your daily walk with God?
Rodolfo Manuel Quirós Ramirez : Beautiful word. How you say it, in their sacred scriptures. The most dangerous organ of the human being is the tongue. Because through it we bless and through it we curse. We must be very careful with what we say. Thank you for today's word.
Hello Rodolfo Manuel Quirós Ramirez! Thank you for sharing your reflections. It's true that the tongue can be a powerful organ that can build up or destroy. As you mention, it's important to be careful with our words, as they can bless or curse. Let's remember the warning in James 3:10, which urges us to use our words wisely. It's wonderful how God's Word guides us in every aspect of our lives, including how we use our tongues. How can you be more mindful of your words and how they impact those around you?
