The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
(Psalm 23:1)For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.
(1 Peter 2:25) My God is provider
In a culture of eagerness and self-sufficiency, it can be difficult to recognize the Lord as our shepherd and provider. However, Psalm 23 reminds us of God's promise to supply all our needs and be a close and personal presence in our lives. Recognizing Jesus as our Lord and Savior allows us to experience the overflowing love and mercy of God.
