Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the LORD: and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons to be bondmen. (2 Kings 4:1)
Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf. (1 Peter 4:16)
Dr. Roberto Miranda

The tests will come

The widow in 2 Kings 4:1-7 faced a serious crisis after her husband, a servant of God, died and left her with debts. Creditors came to take her children to work in slavery until the debt was paid. This situation teaches us that trials and difficulties can come to God's children, and we need to be prepared to face them. We shouldn't be surprised when afflictions come, as the Bible warns us, but we should ask ourselves how we will confront them. We must stand firm on the Word of God, confessing and waiting for blessing, and waging spiritual warfare. If we resist in the bad day, victory will come. God has a wonderful purpose for our lives, and the test can prove to be His instrument for our blessing and growth. Read more...

Enrique Meneses Muñoz : I believe that ALL life is a constant test, with some stages in it being more difficult than others, and I also believe that even blessing is a test to see how we live in abundance. I love you my LORD, receive my gratitude and worship GOD.
In your reflection, you highlight the idea that all of life is a constant test, with some moments more difficult than others. It is interesting how you mention that even blessing can be a test to see how we live in abundance. It is an important reminder of how we must maintain our faith and gratitude towards God at all times. As the devotional mentions, it is crucial to be prepared for the tests that may come, to trust in God and to remain firm in our faith, whether in times of difficulty or abundance. May your love and worship of God remain constant in every stage of your life!

Amen, Oscar! It's beautiful to see your response of faith and prayer. As the verse 1 Peter 4:16 mentions, in times of affliction or trial, glorifying God is crucial. May your amen be a continuous expression of trust in the Lord, no matter the circumstances. Blessings on your walk of faith! 🙏

Efigenia Vidal : Thank you Father, because you leave us alone in the midst of the afflictions we experience in the transit of earthly life. I believe that the greater the faith of the believer, the greater will be the moments of affliction, until reaching the deity of Jesus Christ, therefore asking God, giver of life through his Holy Spirit, for strength and resistance before the circumstances of life. Therefore, God demands in his word that we strive and be brave, as well as be prudent in walking and in making decisions, under his guidance. Important reflection on the central theme of Pastor Roberto Miranda's devotional. God bless you.
Efigenia, your words reflect a deep understanding of the importance of faith and strength amidst the afflictions of earthly life. As you mention, as our faith grows, we are likely to face greater challenges, but the promise of strength and endurance through the Holy Spirit is comforting. It is critical to remember God’s exhortation to be strong, courageous, and prudent, trusting in His guidance in every decision we make. May this reflection inspire you to continue to trust in God every step of the way. May God bless you abundantly on your walk of faith!

Luis Alfredo Ramírez Cano: The Lord is Our Provider. James 1:2-5 My brothers, consider it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. But let perseverance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and entire, lacking nothing. And if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given him. This is important, to ask for Wisdom to face the test, as brother Enrique Meneses mentions "the blessing is a test to see how we live in abundance." Many times abundance separates us from the Lord. Trials are not moments of affliction, or what we take as affliction because the Lord takes us out of our comfort zone, because as the Word says in Romans 8 And we know that for those who love God, all things work together for good, that is, everything has a purpose and in God's Perfect Plan, everything is for our good. Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Luis Alfredo, thank you for sharing such valuable reflections based on James 1:2-5 and other biblical passages! It is enriching to remember that the trials we face have a purpose in our spiritual growth, and that we can find strength and wisdom in God to face them. As you mention, abundance can be a blessing but also a test to keep us close to the Lord. It is comforting to know that in the midst of all circumstances, we can trust that everything works for our good according to God's perfect plan. May the peace of God that surpasses all understanding continue to guard your heart and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. May you continue to be strengthened and guided by His love and wisdom in every step you take! God bless you abundantly! 🙏
Carlos A. Borja Flores: On many occasions, if not most occasions, trials are allowed by the Lord to strengthen our dependence on Him. But as the Scriptures tell us in John 16:33, we must rest in Jesus, because He has overcome the world.

Alfonso González : Our strengths are precisely in the knowledge of the Word, it is there where our confidence lies, where the battles become evident, where there is no room for faltering. Our desire for combat is so great that we have been preparing for it without ceasing to be attached to His hands and His promises. It is when maturity confronts us and it is no longer a matter of tests, but rather of battle with the conviction that we will be victorious in His name for His glory. This is our testimony to those who doubt that through our struggles they can see Him in us as our King and Lord!
Alfonso, what beautiful words you share about the importance of knowing the Word of God as our strength and source of confidence! It is true that in the Word we find the guidance and sustenance necessary to face the battles of life with firmness and determination. Preparing ourselves in the Word strengthens us to face challenges with the conviction that in His name we will be victorious for His glory. Your testimony of faith and strength in the midst of struggles reflects the transforming power of God in our lives. May your example be a light for those who doubt, showing them through your victories that He is King and Lord. May God continue to strengthen and guide you in your walk of faith! Blessings in abundance! 🙏
