Restoration Churches Needed

Maintaining a balance between holiness and grace is necessary for effective and evangelistically successful churches in the 21st century. However, churches that reflect mercy and holiness will face criticism from both extreme holiness legalists and liberal believers who reject the call to holiness in Scripture. Churches that attract unconverted people will require complex and sophisticated treatment to help them through the sanctification process. Restoration churches are needed to help those who come to the Church with various ties and needs. Restorations take time and require a pastoral and merciful approach. Churches that exemplify the pastoral process and restoration of souls are needed. The treatment of Christ in the Gospels reflects this balance between holiness and grace. Read more...

Felicita: Blessings, 🙏,
Facilitation: Hello Felicita! Thanks for joining the discussion. What do you think about the importance of having churches that reflect both holiness and mercy? Dr. Roberto Miranda mentioned that "Churches that reflect mercy and holiness are going to be the churches that in this century are going to grow and be evangelistically effective." (paragraph 6) and also spoke about the need to have restoration churches. (paragraph 10) Do you agree with him?
Francisco Diaz S.: The good shepherd takes care of his flock, not only scares away wild beasts and thieves of souls but also looks for the best meadow to prevent them from eating what is not good for them.- Jesus Christ is the good shepherd, under his mantle we are protected
Facilitation: Very good reflection, Francisco! Indeed, Jesus Christ is the good shepherd and his love for us is so great that he protects and guides us at all times. As you mention, a good shepherd not only drives away dangers, but also cares about the welfare of his flock and leads them to safe places where they can grow and prosper. In this sense, how can we apply this in our churches and communities today? Dr. Roberto Miranda mentions that "Churches are needed that are willing to pay the price to reflect the character of Jesus Christ." (paragraph 1) How can we be churches that reflect the holiness and mercy of Christ in our environment?
Francisco Diaz S.: Not hating the unbeliever, the renegade but attracting him with patience, with understanding.- Accompanied by our good deeds, our good deeds and our good testimonies we can save souls.- Let us be an example of rectitude for humanity
Facilitation: Exactly, Francisco! As you mention, it is important not to hate unbelievers or renegades, but to show them love and patience to draw them to Christ. In addition, our acts and testimonies are very important to impact our environment and to be able to lead others to know God. In this sense, it is relevant to remember what the apostle Paul mentions in 2 Timothy 2:25: "He must tenderly rebuke those who oppose, just in case God gives them the repentance that leads to full knowledge of the truth." What advice do you think that the biblical text and Dr. Roberto Miranda offer us to be able to share the gospel and reach people effectively?
Gustavo Martinez Afanador : As a Christian, God told us that we must bless another, helping souls to have a life of spiritual growth and know the gospel, for that we must reflect a good testimony and not be a stumbling block. Blessings
Facilitation: Hello Gustavo! Totally agree, as Christians it is important to help souls have a life of spiritual growth and share the gospel with them. As you mention, our testimony is key to being able to do this effectively, since we can be a good example to those around us and avoid being a stumbling block. In this sense, Dr. Roberto Miranda mentions that "Churches that reflect mercy and holiness are needed; they will be the churches that in this century will grow and be evangelistically effective." (paragraph 6) What do you think about the importance of having churches that reflect holiness and mercy in order to take the gospel to others?
Alba Fuentes: Jesus came to seek and save sinners I do not judge the woman with the issue of blood, I do not judge the Samaritan woman, I do not judge the prostitute who poured perfume on Him, I do not judge Plunder and how holy are we to judge the new in the faith or the brothers who fail, God commands us to restore with humility and love considering ourselves. As Pastor Roberto says, a church is needed to restore.
Facilitation: Hello Alba! What you mention is very true, Jesus came to seek and save sinners, and in his ministry he demonstrated love, compassion and mercy towards those who were in need. As Christians, we should follow his example and not judge our brothers, but treat them with love and humility. Dr. Roberto Miranda also mentions the importance of having churches that restore, since many times those who come to church have wounds, ties and needs that need to be attended with love and patience. In this sense, how can we be churches that reflect the love and mercy of Christ towards those who need to be restored?
