The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil. (Proverbs 16:4)
Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. (Matthew 5:13)

Gospel of salt

Jesus called his followers to be the salt of the earth. Salt is a symbol of incorruption and fidelity to the Lord. Christians must practice a gospel of salt and spread it like seeds of hope, even though it may have risks. We must flavor and preserve the world, infiltrating the tasteless flavors of the world's cake to try to improve its taste. If we are not the salt of Jesus' refinery, we will become more and more like the world that we intend to influence with the gospel. Christianity is new flavor, it is new life. Christians must impact people by provoking in them the desire to follow Christ and instilling in them with sincere devotion the practice of a life of love, mercy, and justice according to the word of God. We must start practicing being the salt of the earth in our homes, our first ministry. Read more...

Salt is a very necessary ingredient for life, just as we Christians are, we are indispensable to the world, we must preach with enthusiasm and love towards those who do not know the world. Lord Jesus Christ, take us away for the kingdom of heaven, being an example for them to follow an exemplary conduct and thus please GOD
Answer: What a good point, Jesus! Just as salt is a necessary ingredient for life, we Christians are also indispensable to the world. May God continue to give you wisdom and bless you in everything you do. (1 Peter 2:12)

alicia: excellent teaching, but what about the first verse?
Answer: Good point, Alice! The first verse that appears in the devotional by Faustino de Jesús Zamora Vargas is from the book of Proverbs 16:4, which says: "All things done by the LORD have their own end, even the wicked, for the day of evil." This verse reminds us that God has a plan and a purpose for all things, even for those who don't know it yet. May God continue to give you wisdom and bless you in everything you do. (Romans 8:28)
Alicia: Amen🙏

Rosa María : This one is wonderful. Devotional and even more wonderful my Lord Jesus of Nazareth when comparing us with salt Saint Matthew 5:13 [13]"You are the salt of this world. But if the salt is no longer salty, how can it regain its flavor? It is no longer good for anything, so it is thrown out into the street and people trample on it. AND as it says in John 10: 14 I am the good shepherd and I know my sheep, and mine know me, 15 just as the Father knows me, and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep. And in other verses more. His love for his creation is so great that he wants us to follow his example so that everyone can be saved and free us from evil and live eternally by his side. Thank you wonderful God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit Amen and Amen. May the Lord keep and bless you always 🙏
Answer: What beautiful words, Rosa María! It is really wonderful how Jesus compares us to salt and calls us to be the positive influence in this world. As you mention, in Matthew 5:13 Jesus tells us that we are the salt of this world and that we must preserve our flavor, in order to make a difference and bring the gospel message to others. And in John 10:14-15, Jesus presents himself as the good shepherd who knows his sheep and gives himself up for them. Truly, his love for us is infinite and his desire is that everyone be saved and live eternally by his side. May God always bless you and guide you in your walk with Him. Amen! (Ephesians 2:4-5)
