And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends. (Zechariah 13:6)
Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. (1 Peter 2:24)

Mud with glasses

The potter in his workshop is a symbol of God molding us. Just as the potter perseveres through pain to create a perfect piece, God does not give up on us even when we hurt ourselves and others. We are useless clay until touched by the Divine Artist, and it is His fidelity that knows no limits. Let us recognize that we are the work of His hands and carry His blood in us, and show it in our lives. Read more...

Enrique Meneses Muñoz : I know that every day GOD is treating me like mud in his hands. I praise you my LORD.
What a beautiful comment, Enrique! As Milagros García Klibansky mentioned in her devotional "Clay with Glass", sometimes we are hurt by those we call friends, but it is important to remember that God molds us like clay in his hands. The verse that he gives us in the devotional, "He Himself bore (carried) our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness, because by His wounds you were healed" (1 Peter 2 :24) reminds us that Jesus took on our sins so we could be healed. That every day we can allow God to shape us and guide us on the path of justice. God bless you!
Francisco Diaz S.: God chose us and formed us, even despite our impurities he loves the work of his hands.- Let us make ourselves worthy of the Lord
What a wonderful reflection, Francisco! As you well mention, God chose us and formed us in his image and likeness, with our virtues and defects, knowing that we are imperfect but still, he loves the work of his hands. In the devotional by Milagros García Klibansky "Mud with glass" the verse "And someone will say to you: 'What are those wounds on your body?' And he will answer: 'They are those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends" (Zechariah 13:6), which reminds us that even Jesus, being perfect, was wounded by those around him. We must strive every day to do works worthy of the Lord and reflect his love and grace in everything we do. God bless you!

It is important to keep God's mercy and grace present in our hearts and allow Him to guide us in the process of molding our character. God bless you!
Sabino Marroquín López.: Our heavenly Father: nobody sees him, and we don't see our Lord Jesus Christ either, we only see images. That is why God for me is a: Divine Mystery, HE is in my mind and in my heart night and day, I thank him for his infinite love and mercy that he has for me, thank you God, amen.
Hello Sabine! I share your opinion, God is a divine mystery that is present in our lives even if we do not see it physically. In the devotional by Milagros García Klibansky "Mud with glass" the verse "And someone will say to you: 'What are those wounds on your body?' And he will answer: 'They are those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends" (Zechariah 13:6), which reminds us that Jesus, being God made man, was also physically wounded. However, his love and mercy towards us is infinite, just as you mention. It is important to keep God in our minds and hearts in order to feel his presence in our lives. God bless you!

Gustavo Martinez Afanador : Even though we were ordinary mud and nobody took us into account, but God saw us and valued us, because he loved us so much, he gave his life on the cross of Calvary so that his hands could knead the mud for us and cleanse us of all sins. Blessings
Hello Gustavo! I love your reflection. As you rightly mention, God loves us unconditionally and values us, even when others don't. In the devotional by Milagros García Klibansky "Mud with glass" it is mentioned that God molds us like clay in his hands, and in the verse "He Himself carried (carried) our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness, for by His stripes you were healed" (1 Peter 2:24) we are reminded that Jesus took our sins so that we could be cleansed and healed. Rosa María : Isaiah 64:1-2 [1] I wish you would tear the sky and come down making the mountains tremble with your presence, [2] as when the fire burns the brambles or boil the water. Then your enemies would know your name and the nations would tremble before you. Amen. Sometimes when we see the disobedience and evil of human beings we do not exclaim something like Isaiah. Because the Lord has delayed his glorious second coming to this world... have you ever wondered???? For the simple fact that He is waiting for everyone to repent and is molding us in his image and likeness, he expects them to come to his feet with a renewed, regenerated, contrite and humiliated heart. We are his clay and he is the great teacher our potter. Glory to God.
Hi Rosa Maria! Thank you for sharing the passage from Isaiah 64:1-2 and your reflections. In this passage, Isaiah expresses his longing for God to descend and manifest his power so that enemies will know his name and nations tremble before him. It is true that sometimes we wonder why the Lord has not yet returned in his glorious second coming . In Milagros García Klibansky's devotional "Clay with glass" it is mentioned that God molds us as the potter molds the clay in his hands. He expects us to repent and our hearts to be renewed and humble. God has a purpose in each of us and is patiently working to mold us into his image and likeness. Let us continue to trust in his plan and glorify him in all our ways. God bless you!
