The grand commision

Fanny RodríguezIn the past days, I was wanting to see a movie and changing the channel, I found a very beautiful story that he ministered to me. The main character a sixth grade student who was assigned by the Social Studies teacher to find a way in which they could contribute to humanity in some way. This boy did not wait until that very day he invited a homeless man at his house (his mother was working) fed him and arranged for him to spend the night in the garage. The mother who was an alcoholic came home from work, drank and fell asleep.
The next day when mom got up she met the man, got scared, yelled at him and made it out of the house. The boy had no chance to explain; he just told her it was part of a school assignment and stormed off. At school the children explained their ideas of how to recycle and other activities that would help the environment. But this child made a diagram in which he represented a pyramid of people, the one at the top three people below him and three other people below each one (9 people), and another three below them and so on. Explaining that if he managed to help three people to restore their lives and those in turn three others etc. then the world would be transformed. The professor told him that it was a good idea but only a utopia. Meanwhile the mother went to school angry with the teacher who did not know what the student had done.
The child continues to persist in helping and achieves his goal with perseverance and courage at great cost. The movie is called 'Pay forward' pay someone else, I won't give you more details in case you want to see it. But as I listened to the wisdom of this little boy and the seriousness with which he took this mission to help humanity, I thought of us, all of us who have received the wonderful gift of salvation. We can transform the world because we move, speak and help in the power of the Holy Spirit, which is like dynamite. Could it be that our understanding has not been enlightened and we are so busy in daily activities that we have forgotten the Lord's command and we think that just going to church and doing a few religious exercises is enough? Prayer, gathering together, studying the word, seeking holiness, and all spiritual disciplines are important; but the important mandate is "Make disciples ..." When was the last time you spoke to a person about the Lord and his love and invited them to church, cell, retreat, etc.
Heavenly Father help me organize my priorities so that I use the time to help transform this world. I do not want to be complaining about the situation we are living, but to consider: what am I doing to bring your kingdom? Give me wisdom, discernment and courage to approach people in need of an encounter with the Lord. Help me to sow your word knowing that even if the person does not accept you at that moment, the seed will remain sown. Thank you for your love and your blessings, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
