Revolutionaries

SUMMARY: The author realized they are a revolutionary because they defend their values even at their own cost. They believe in living with Christian principles and stand up against things like homosexuality, blasphemy, mistreatment of underdogs, theft, and adultery. They have a hard time with hypocrisy and intolerance of abuse of power, and prioritize their relationship with God over material wealth. They ask if others consider themselves revolutionaries too.

A few days ago a poster caught my attention. He said: "To be a revolutionary is to defend the values in what is believed at any cost." I just realized I'm a revolutionary!

Yes, I am a revolutionary, because I defend my values even at the cost of my own benefits. I defend living in this world with Christian principles. I refuse to accept that two people of the same sex have sex, much less do it publicly. I reprimand when people blaspheme in my presence. I confront the one who mistreats an underdog in front of me. I do not admit theft. For me, adultery is a problem of indecision and insecurity, whoever does that has no convictions or criteria. I have to control my intolerance of the abuse of power. It is impossible for me to remain silent before the lie. I don't know how to handle hypocrisy. I have a hard time affording myself when I know that others have needs.

I know that our life is not easy, but that does not justify doing the wrong thing to try to make it more bearable. I want to put my head on the pillow at night with the peace that God gives. And lastly, I don't trade my relationship with Him for anything this world can offer me. All material wealth is overshadowed when I think that I can fall into the cooling of my spirit.

Tell me, do you consider yourself a "revolutionary" too?

So, you are able to change the world.
