Jeremiah 17:7-8 • John 15:5
Some build on sand, their own fleeting might Like arid bushes, in fading light Roots so shallow, when the sun beats down Withering quickly, in a barren town. But blessed are they, who trust in the Lord's hand Like trees planted by the river's strand.
Oh, rooted deep, in the living stream My confidence fixed, fulfilling every dream No fear of the heat, no drought can dismay My leaves ever green, come what may I draw life from You, the unfailing source Bearing good fruit, by Your constant force.
You are the Vine, and I am the branch, dear Lord Abiding in You, by Your living word. Apart from Your grace, I can do nothing true Just empty striving, without a touch from You. But bound to Your life, Your Spirit flowing free Oh, what abundance, You pour into me.
The Vinedresser's hand, may prune and refine To bear even more, of Your love divine. This organic union, a mystery untold Your sap in my veins, making my spirit bold. Not merely near the stream, but the life within my soul Making me resilient, making my spirit whole.
Oh, rooted deep, in the living stream My confidence fixed, fulfilling every dream No fear of the heat, no drought can dismay My leaves ever green, come what may I draw life from You, the unfailing source Bearing good fruit, by Your constant force.
Ever green, ever true Flowing life, found in You. Rooted deep, abiding strong Where I truly belong.
