Unprofitable Servant

Job 35:7 • Luke 17:9

What can I offer You, Lord, You own it all? Or what do You gain from my bending knee? Does the master thank the servant for answering the call? For simply doing what I'm commanded to be? No righteous deed brings You a greater store, No grand design You haven't known before.

Unprofitable servant, yet completely Yours I stand, No rights I claim, just purpose in Your hand. A doulos heart, surrendered, free from every plea, To live to glorify, Great God, to honor Thee.

My self-image shifting, Lord, by Your design, To see Your sovereignty, Your truth profound. No path is mine, no will except for Thine, On hallowed ground, Your will is freedom found. You are the Potter, I the yielding clay, To mold and shape me, in Your perfect way.

They call it 'worthless,' 'unprofitable' too, But in this 'nothing,' all my dignity resides. For every fruitful season, every truth I knew, It's in the deep surrender, where Your Spirit guides. This humble posture, though it may seem small, It's the very platform that makes me stand tall.

Unprofitable servant, yet completely Yours I stand, No rights I claim, just purpose in Your hand. A doulos heart, surrendered, free from every plea, To live to glorify, Great God, to honor Thee.

Just a servant, Lord, completely Yours, My life, my breath, through all my days. To walk Your path, to open all Your doors, To live to bring You glory, in a million ways. To honor Thee, just to honor Thee.
