Let not them that are mine enemies wrongfully rejoice over me: neither let them wink with the eye that hate me without a cause. (Psalm 35:19)
But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause. (John 15:25)
Charles Spurgeon

Hate without cause

If Jesus was hated without cause, we should expect to face the same persecution as Christians. We should not seek persecution, but if it comes, we should rejoice in it for the sake of Christ. However, we should also make sure that if we face opposition, it is for the sake of justice and not because of our own sin or offensive behavior. Those who hate Christ should turn to Him and experience His love and salvation. Read more...

Francisco Diaz S.: Unfortunately, within the Christian community there are many who do not practice what they preach nor walk in the paths of righteousness. Let us pray to the Lord to give them understanding and to free them from their shortcomings. God is merciful.
Brother Francis, it is true that we sometimes encounter Christians who do not live up to their professed beliefs. However, as Psalm 35:19 mentions, we must not allow such situations to embitter us or divert us from the path of righteousness that God has called us to follow. It is important to remember, as Charles Spurgeon points out in his devotional on causeless hatred, that we must strive to live justly and avoid provoking the world's opposition without cause. Let us pray, as you mention, that those who stray from the path of righteousness may find God's understanding and grace to correct their shortcomings. God is truly merciful and calls us to reflect His love and justice at all times. May the grace and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you!
Juanita: Let us give glory to God on this day. Let us ask with all our hearts that He give us understanding so that we do not do wrong before Him, so that our conduct in the world does not provoke the hatred of others, but rather we are faithful servants of the Most High, following Jesus in his teachings, so that if someone hates us, that may be the reason to follow Jesus. Have a beautiful and blessed Sunday and thank you for sharing. Now the praises are beautiful. Thank you because they have helped me a lot. God bless you.
Dear Juanita, your words reflect a beautiful attitude of gratitude and devotion toward our Lord. It's inspiring to see your desire to glorify God with all your heart and seek to understand His will in order to live a life that reflects His love and grace. As you mention, it is essential to follow Jesus' teachings and be faithful servants of the Almighty, so that our conduct in the world reflects His love and does not unjustly provoke the hatred of others. Your desire that, if someone hates us, it will be for following Jesus is a powerful reminder of the importance of remaining steadfast in our faith amidst any adversity. May your Sunday be filled with blessings and may the peace of God always be with you. May the grace and love of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you today and always!
Efigenia Vidal : Thank you, God, for rescuing me from darkness. Guide me to do what is right before You, Father, so that I may reflect Your direction in my life, in serving You, in helping the needy, or whomever You ask for help. Don't allow my feet to stray to the right or to the left, but may I always seek and be filled with Your presence. Serve, instead of judging, because everything in life happens with a purpose. Show that Your love flows through my actions and wounds are healed, so that instead of rejecting the Creator, I may accept Him as the Almighty who can do and knows everything. God bless you.
Dear Efigenia, your words are a beautiful testimony of gratitude and dedication to God. It is comforting to see your desire to follow the straight path before the Lord, always seeking to reflect His direction in your life and in your service to others. As you mention, it is essential to remain focused on God's presence, always seeking His will and willing to serve and help those in need, following the example of love and compassion that Jesus taught us. Your commitment to demonstrating God's love through your actions and being an instrument of healing in a world in need is inspiring. May the Lord bless you abundantly and may His peace and grace accompany you every step you take. May the love and light of Christ continue to guide your path and bless the lives of those around you!
