Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding. (Proverbs 23:23)
But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. (Philippians 3:7)

A radical change

To be renewed in understanding means to continually restructure the way we see the world and its values, including adopting a different interpretation of past experiences in light of our new life in Christ. This renewal allows us to see past traumas as instruments for personal growth and character development, instead of seeing ourselves as victims. We must also renew our understanding of the things in the world, recognizing that worldly successes and material possessions are ultimately garbage compared to the eternal things of God. The apostle Paul exemplified this change of mind, seeing everything he previously valued as garbage compared to the excellence of the knowledge of Christ. Through the lens of the Word, we can understand the world in a different way and appreciate eternal things above all else. Read more...

Comments:

Oscar Rodríguez : Amen, may God give us clear understanding and wisdom to understand some things in this world.
What a beautiful comment, Oscar! Indeed, as Dr. Roberto Miranda mentions in his devotional, it is essential to acquire wisdom and intelligence to be able to see the world and our past experiences in the light of God's Word. May the Lord grant us this clear understanding and wisdom to interpret and renew our minds. Blessings!
Nancy: Help Lord, life is getting complicated for me. I ask you Lord for my grandson Ignacio.
Dear Nancy, we understand that going through difficult times can be overwhelming, but as Dr. Roberto Miranda's devotional reminds us, Romans 12:2 encourages us to renew our minds and view our circumstances from a divine perspective. We pray that the Lord will grant you the strength and peace you need in the midst of your difficulties, as well as for the life of your grandson Ignacio. May God sustain and guide you at all times. We are with you in prayer!
Francisco Diaz S.: I pray to the Lord to transform my soul and give light to my spirit as he transformed Saul (Paul) to put me at the service of God's plan in Christ Jesus, our redeemer. - Amen
What a beautiful prayer, Francis! Just as Saul, who became the great apostle Paul, experienced, we trust that the Lord can transform our lives and give us the light of the Holy Spirit to guide us in His purpose. May your heart always be willing to be molded by God and to serve according to His will in Christ Jesus. May the peace and grace of the Lord accompany you on this path of transformation. Amen!
Sabino Marroquin Lopez: God is my Shepherd and I shall lack nothing, thank you my GOD for your mercy, amen.
What a beautiful statement, Sabino. Like the psalmist in Psalm 23, recognizing God as our Shepherd fills us with confidence and reminds us of His constant care and provision in our lives. May His mercy continue to accompany and strengthen you at all times. Amen! May God's peace and grace surround you always.
