For ye are not as yet come to the rest and to the inheritance, which the LORD your God giveth you. (Deuteronomy 12:9)
(For we walk by faith, not by sight:) (2 Corinthians 5:7)

Some ask for signs, others believe in God

In a world where visuals dominate, Christians often ask for signs and miracles to prove God's goodness and power. However, we should trust in the promises of God's Word and not solely rely on tangible results. The gospel cannot be restricted to showcasing miracles, but rather, we should look to the Word of God for revelation and believe that the living God is with us and in us. We do not need to see to believe, and asking for signs to justify unbelief shows a lack of true faith. The greatest miracle is the resurrection of Jesus Christ, and we must offer God to unbelievers as he truly is. Read more...

Sabino Marroquín López, thank you for sharing your feelings toward God. It's beautiful to see how your faith, trust, and hope are placed in Him. As the Word of God says in 2 Corinthians 5:7, "For we walk by faith, not by sight," let us remember that our faith in God goes beyond what we can see with our eyes, trusting in His love and faithfulness at all times. May God continue to bless you on your journey of faith! Amen!
Ruth Vives: We cannot despair with our requests before God. We ask Him for samples of these due to a lack of faith and patience because they don't arrive or are resolved promptly. He has His time and way of establishing and providing the solution to our requests. Pray and wait with faith. God bless you! Amen.
Ruth Vives, thank you for your insightful reflection. As you share, we sometimes fall into despair when we don't see immediate answers to our requests, which can reflect a lack of faith and patience. As Faustino de Jesús Zamora Vargas mentions in his devotional, it's important to trust that God has His perfect timing to answer our prayers. In Deuteronomy 12:9, we are reminded that we have not yet reached the place of rest God has prepared for us. Let us pray with faith and wait on His perfect will. May God bless you abundantly! Amen!
Efigenia Vidal : When a believer loves God, they truly understand that everything works in the time God has determined, thus fulfilling their requests. I have been waiting for a response for three and a half years. I can say that now I am seeing glimmers of light, marking the end of a conflict beyond my control. Only God knows the intentions of the heart, and He allows us to go through moments of pause in life's work to learn, according to the Father's demands and purposes. By faith, I await His blessing, because the wait will be worth it. God bless you.
Efigenia Vidal, thank you for sharing your experience and your profound reflection. It's true that God's timing is perfect, and even though we sometimes have to wait a long time, He has a purpose for every situation we experience. As you mention, sometimes only by looking back can we see the glimmers of light that indicate God has been working in the midst of our circumstances. Your faith and patience are inspiring, and remember, as 2 Corinthians 5:7 says, "For we walk by faith, not by sight." Trust that God has everything under control and that His blessing will come at the right time. May God continue to guide your steps and strengthen your faith! Amen!
Rodolfo Manuel Quirós Ramirez : What a beautiful message from Pastor Faustino! It's a reality. We believe by faith, not by stories told. What better sign than the gift of life. Our own and our family's. That is a great gift that the Almighty God gives us. What more do we want than to have Him always at our side. Thank you, my Lord God, as the chorus that was sung earlier says. There is no God as great as you, there is no God, there is no God who can do works like those you do. God bless you always. For spreading the word of the Lord God.
Rodolfo Manuel Quirós Ramírez, thank you for your inspiring comment. It's true that faith leads us to believe in God's work in our lives and in the lives of our loved ones. As Faustino de Jesús Zamora Vargas mentions in his devotional, it is in faith that we find a true connection with God, beyond what we can see with our eyes. Let us remember, as Deuteronomy 12:9 says, that we have not yet reached the place of rest that God has prepared for us. Let us continue to trust in His love and His perfect plan for us. May God continue to bless you and guide you on your journey of faith! Amen!
Martha Adames: If we don't have faith in our Father God, then in whom? Only our Father will give us what we need, not what we want.
Martha Adames, thank you for your commentary full of truth and wisdom. As you mention, it is essential to place our faith in our Father God, who knows our deepest needs and will provide for us according to His perfect will and love. Let us remember, as 2 Corinthians 5:7 says, "For we walk by faith, not by sight." Let us trust that God will always give us what we truly need, even if it doesn't match what we desire at a specific moment.
