And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many people as a dew from the LORD, as the showers upon the grass, that tarrieth not for man, nor waiteth for the sons of men. (Micah 5:7)
I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. (1 Corinthians 3:6)
Charles Spurgeon

Lord, make us like dew!

God's believing people, when they are what they should be, are a blessing to those around them. They quietly and effectively minister to the growth and joy of those they dwell with, like dew refreshing the grass. They work for God without permission or authorization from men, like rains ordained by God. May we be brave and willing to serve God wherever we are allotted. This is from The Bank of Faith Checkbook, a devotional book by Charles Spurgeon. Read more...

William : I like
Hi William! I'm so glad you enjoyed Charles Spurgeon's devotional. It's beautiful to see how he compares believers to the dew that refreshes and blesses those around them. The image of being like the dew, silent yet effective in ministering life and growth, is truly inspiring. As he mentions in 1 Corinthians 3:6, "I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth." It's a reminder that our role is to obey and serve, trusting that it is God who produces the growth. May the Lord make us like the dew, being instruments in His hands to bless others! Thank you for your comment!
William : Excellent
Hello again, William! I'm glad you found Charles Spurgeon's devotional and the accompanying Bible verses excellent. It's wonderful to reflect on how God can use each of us, like drops of dew, to bless those around us. As mentioned in Micah 5:7, the remnant of Jacob will be like dew from the Lord—a powerful image of divine blessing and provision. May we be boldly willing and free in God's service, without waiting for human approval, like the rain that comes at God's command. Thank you for sharing your thoughts! May God bless you.

Hello, Eduardo Lucero! I'm glad you find Charles Spurgeon's devotional very edifying. It's wonderful how it inspires us to be like the dew that refreshes and blesses those around us. As he mentions in the devotional, saints, when they are what they should be, are an incalculable blessing to those around them. May we be like those drops of dew, silent yet effective in ministering life and growth to others, as mentioned in Micah 5:7. May the Lord's grace empower us to be instruments in His hands wherever we are assigned. Thank you for your comment! May God continue to edify you in your walk with Him.
Remberto : I receive much benefit from this spiritual nourishment because in reality sometimes we seem to diminish in the responsibility we have towards our mission or obligation as believers. We should always be focused, full of love, and thus be like that Dew that arrives sent by God without any obstacle, and thus know how to carry the message of salvation to those in need.
Greetings, Remberto! It's great to know that you find Charles Spurgeon's devotional spiritually beneficial. It's true that we can sometimes lapse in our responsibility as believers, but remembering the image of the dew that arrives, sent by God without hindrance, encourages us to remain focused and filled with love in our mission. As you mention, we should always be ready to carry the message of salvation to those in need, being instruments of God's grace and love. May the Lord enable us to be like that dew that refreshes and blesses those around us, faithfully fulfilling the task He has entrusted to us. Thank you for sharing your reflections. May God bless you abundantly in your spiritual journey!
