God's love for us is not conditional on our spiritual inventory, and He shows mercy to us even when we don't deserve it. In Jesus' time, the religious leaders forgot to show mercy to the marginalized and poor, and today we must remember to act with mercy towards others. Mercy is not just a concept, but it requires action. We should offer mercy to all, especially those who have not yet met God. God's mercy is eternal, and we should practice mercy as a gift of the Holy Spirit.
