In II Chronicles 20, King Jehoshaphat turned to Jehovah in prayer when a powerful army was coming against him. He not only prayed himself, but also involved the whole nation in proclaiming fasting and appealing to God for help. This illustrates the power of prayer in community, as Jesus Himself declared that where two or three are gathered in His name, He is in their midst. While individual prayer is important, there are situations where finding prayer partners can provide encouragement and support in life's battles. By joining with people of faith, we can build a great bonfire of faith that catches the eye of heaven.
