God speaks today Sunday | April 27, 2025

Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles. (Proverbs 21:23)
For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: (1 Peter 3:10)

The challenge of growing up with the correct use of the language

The language we use as Christians should be edifying and avoid backbiting, which causes division and bitterness among God's people. Our words should reflect our practical lives and be consistent with our convictions. Jesus reminds us that out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks, and we will be held accountable for every idle word on the day of judgment. On the other hand, our language should also be a torrent of peace and harmony, reflecting the grace of God in our lives. The challenge of restraining our language from speaking evil and destructive words is great, but with the help of the Spirit, we can overcome this widespread evil. Let us proclaim God's righteousness and praise Him with our tongues. Read more...

Comments:

Efigenia Vidal : In addition to what has been said in the Word of Life, it is important for every believer to show themselves in wisdom, asking the Holy Spirit to rebuke the inner man, because it is written, as Faustino Zamora quoted: "Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks." Prudence is well needed to cultivate through obedience to the Father and to restrain our lips from speaking inappropriate things, because where the Spirit of God dwells, there is freedom, love, and self-control. The Word clearly reminds us that in our lips is the power to live or die; choose to live, exhorts the Lord. May God's blessing be with you.
What a beautiful comment, Efigenia! It's true that wisdom and prudence are fundamental for every believer, as you rightly mentioned. Faustino Zamora's reminder about how our words reveal what's in our hearts is very powerful. It's important that we allow the Holy Spirit to guide us and help us control what we say, so that our words reflect God's grace and love. As you rightly mention, the power of life or death resides in our lips, so it's crucial to choose wisely. May God's blessing continue to accompany you on your journey. God bless you!
WULFREDO: What a beautiful reflection inspired by the heart of God. It is not a sin to copy and paste on our walls: "The King's children should always speak the language of the court." Everything that comes from the King has a condition. If you are a child of the King. If you are a Christian, if you fear God. If you love your brother, your neighbor, yourself. "Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt." O Jehovah God, forgive us and lead us not into temptation, but rather deliver us from evil. Season my tongue from evil speech, that I may win souls for You. Amen.
What a beautiful reflection, Wulfredo! It is true that the words we choose to use reflect our status as children of the King. By quoting such powerful words, we are reminded of the importance of speaking with grace and love, as God's Word exhorts us. It is a constant reminder that our words have the power to build up and destroy, so it is vital that we always seek to season them with God's grace. May your prayer to be delivered from evil speech be heard by the Lord, and may He use you to bring light and truth to those around you. May God richly bless you in your journey!
Francisco Diaz S.: Very good exhortation from Pastor Faustino de J. Z. With the tongue we build but also with the tongue we can destroy, with the tongue we win friends or we win enemies, a kind and well-spoken word calms storms. For many it is very funny to speak swearing but that shows bad manners, many gossip about their neighbor when they are not in front of them, that is bad faith. Let us be prudent, let us educate ourselves in our way of speaking.
Excellent reflection, Francisco! It's true that our words have great power, whether to build or destroy, to win friends or enemies. The importance of being mindful of how we speak and the impact our words can have on others is fundamental. As you mention, a kind word spoken at the right time can calm storms and bring peace. It's true that the way we speak reflects our upbringing and our integrity. It's vital to be prudent and careful in our expressions to avoid falling into gossip or using words that can hurt others. Educating our tongue is part of our growth and witness as children of God. May the Lord continue to guide you in the good use of your words and in your daily witness! May God bless you abundantly!
Oscar Rodríguez : Amen 🙏.
Amen, Oscar! May God's peace and grace be with you always. Blessings! 🙏🙌
Sabino Marroquin Lopez: My mind and heart remain inclined to the Lord at all times of my life, amen.
What a beautiful statement, Sabino! It's wonderful to keep our minds and hearts inclined toward the Lord at all times. By seeking His constant presence, we find peace, direction, and comfort in every stage of our lives. May this ongoing communion with God continue to strengthen and guide you on your spiritual journey. May God keep you and bless you abundantly! Amen! 🙏🌟
Beatriz: Very good.. it takes us to examine ourselves
I'm so glad you found inspiration in the text, Beatriz! Indeed, reflecting on the way we speak and how our words impact others is a valuable exercise in self-examination. May this process lead you to personal and spiritual growth, allowing you to improve your communication and the edification of those around you. May the Lord guide you on this path of self-examination and transformation! Blessings! 🙏✨
