(Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.) (Numbers 12:3)
Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up. (James 4:10)

The challenge of growing up through humiliation

Forgiving someone but refusing to forget their offense is not true forgiveness. We must submit to God's authority and humble ourselves before Him, allowing His grace to flood our weaknesses. Humility is a virtue that we should imitate, and God gives grace to the humble. Letting God control our lives and intervening in daily conflicts and problems is the best way to free ourselves from obstacles. Even in lawsuits and fights with others, we should consider others as superior to ourselves and be obedient to God's Word. Read more...

Francisco Diaz S.: Humility is a very difficult quality to achieve. Each person's personal ego incites men to feel superior to others and they do not accept being less than another. In this context, pride deprives humility. Approaching Jesus leads us to be humble of heart and true brothers in faith. God with us.
Thank you for your reflection, Francisco Díaz S.! It's true that humility can be a challenge in a world where pride and ego often prevail. However, as Faustino de Jesús Zamora Vargas mentions in his devotional, drawing closer to Jesus helps us cultivate humility in our hearts. May we continue to seek God's guidance to be true brothers and sisters in the faith, recognizing our dependence on Him at all times. God be with you! 🙏

Cidia: Wow! ... a new knowledge and meditation on the word, in this reflection summarized in two words "Pride and Self-Sufficiency" and I had never seen it this way, that although bitterness and resentment floated in not forgiving, these words of Pride and Self-Sufficiency (I would say that they are those roots that remain within the heart) and that remain in people by not totally discarding resentment and forgiving as our Lord Jesus Christ really did, Who despite all his sufferings He taught us to forgive and give life through forgiveness, Thank you very much for such a valuable reflection and receive thousands of Blessings 🙏
What a profound reflection, Cidia! It's wonderful how you captured the essence of Faustino de Jesús Zamora Vargas's reflection on pride and self-sufficiency, and how these can take root in our hearts if we don't forgive sincerely. Remembering the forgiveness that Jesus Christ taught us and practiced is essential to freeing ourselves from those roots of bitterness and resentment. May you continue to be inspired by divine wisdom and receive abundant blessings for opening your heart to these reflections. May God continue to guide you on your journey of faith! 🙏
Patricia Campo : How beautiful it is to understand that forgiveness involves understanding that those who have offended us do not deserve our anger, rage, or resentment. We must forgive from the heart, in the manner of Christ, who on the cross justified those who had condemned him as ignorant of what they were doing.
What a beautiful comment, Patricia Campo! Your reflection on forgiveness is so insightful and profound. Understanding that forgiveness involves freeing ourselves from rage, anger, and resentment toward those who have offended us is an act of love and humility that reflects Christ's teaching on the cross. Remembering Jesus' unconditional forgiveness, even in the midst of His suffering, inspires us to forgive from the heart as He did. May Christ's example continue to guide your steps toward a life marked by forgiveness and love. May God bless you abundantly! 🙏
