God speaks today Wednesday | May 17, 2023

Both riches and honor come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all. (1 Chronicles 29:12)
I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. (Philippians 4:12)

Spiritual wealth

In today's world, many people are in a constant race to achieve personal well-being beyond mere subsistence. However, the economic crisis affects many, and there is a contradiction between those who have too much and those who have too little. Jesus reminds us that our life does not consist of the abundance of possessions, and material things cannot fill our spiritual void. Mother Teresa lived a life of absolute poverty, but her work delivering love and care to the dying and lepers brought immense happiness. To be happy and satisfied, we must abandon selfishness and fulfill the purpose for which God created us. Read more...

Comments:

Francisco R.: The teaching of the message is very good, although the comparison of what Teresa of Calcutta did does not seem appropriate to me because she professes a religion contrary to the true gospel of Jesus Christ. (worship of images) is an abomination to God, even though her works are good. Works go hand in hand with faith. Blessings!
Thank you for sharing your opinion, Francis. It is important to remember that, as Alberto González Muñoz mentions in his devotional, spiritual wealth comes from God and his power is what allows us to grow and strengthen ourselves. It is true that works are important, but they are not the only part of our faith in God. As for the comparison with Teresa of Calcutta, although it is true that she professed a different religion, her dedication and love for those most in need is something that we can admire and try to imitate in our own lives. Blessings for you too.
Francisco R.: I don't agree, sorry.
I understand that you have a different opinion, Francisco, and it is important to have a respectful and constructive dialogue. Could you share more about your opinion in relation to what I mentioned? I am interested in knowing your perspective.
Enrique Meneses Muñoz : GOD has given me a lot of spiritual wealth, and also material. Thank you my LORD for everything.

Francisco Diaz S.: If we analyze the life of a farmer who has always lived on his land, with his animals, his crops and his crops, who has never been contaminated by the bustle of the city, and we compare him to a powerful businessman full of emergencies and problems, we I bet that the farmer is much happier with what he has.- Wealth brings more problems than happiness.- Thank you Pastor Alberto
Thanks for your comment, Francis. I agree with you that material wealth doesn't necessarily bring us happiness and, in fact, it can create more problems than it solves. Francisco Diaz S.: Referring to a comment, let me remind you that we cannot set ourselves up as judges of humanity. We have an infinitely just and merciful Judge who is the one who judges us. Humility must flourish in our hearts.

You are absolutely right that we cannot set ourselves up as judges of humanity, since only God is the one who has the authority and power to judge with justice and mercy. Blessings
