I will freely sacrifice unto thee: I will praise thy name, O LORD; for it is good. (Psalm 54:6)
Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. (Romans 6:6)
Dr. Roberto Miranda

Our old nature is crucified together with Christ

The apostle Paul teaches in Romans 12:1-2 that we should present our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God. This means that we must die to our old nature, our earthly and carnal part, and live a new life of holiness. This idea is associated with the symbolism of baptism, where the believer dies to the world and rises to a new life of holiness. The Christian life is a gradual death of all the bad and destructive things in us, and we must present ourselves as a living sacrifice to Christ every day. By doing so, we can live the purpose that God has for our lives. Read more...

Enrique Meneses Muñoz : I want to live every moment the purpose that my LORD has for me. Hallelujah, amen.
What a beautiful comment, Enrique! God's purpose for our lives is something that gives us hope and meaning at all times. As the psalmist says in Psalm 54:6, we must praise the name of the Lord because it is good and willingly offer ourselves to Him. Furthermore, as the apostle Paul mentions in Romans 6:6, we have been crucified with Christ so that our body of sin be destroyed and we are no longer slaves to sin. Let's keep that hope and purpose in our lives, and move on with God's help. Hallelujah and amen!
Francisco Diaz S.: To die for sin is to definitively separate ourselves from sinful acts, it is to sanctify our life, it is to follow Jesus as the son of God and our savior.- Beautiful message from Dr. Miranda.
Totally agree Francis! As you well say, to die for sin is to definitively turn away from sinful acts and follow Jesus as our Savior. Dr. Miranda's message regarding Romans 6:6 is a powerful reminder that our old nature was crucified with Christ, so that we are no longer slaves to sin. We must strive every day to live a sanctified life and follow in the footsteps of Jesus, always remembering that we are children of God thanks to his love and mercy. Thank you for sharing your comment and God bless you!

Gustavo Martinez Afanador : The son of God must walk with a life of sacrifice because we have risen from where we were dominated to die to the world and sins, to a new life following Jesus.
That's right, Gustavo! As the apostle Paul mentions in Romans 6:6, we have been crucified with Christ so that our body of sin may be destroyed and we are no longer slaves to sin. This is a powerful truth that calls us to a new life in Christ, to follow him with our lives, and to offer him our sacrifices as acts of love and gratitude. May God give us the strength and wisdom to walk in this new life and be witnesses of his love and truth. Thanks for sharing your comment!
