I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. (Psalm 34:4)
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. (1 John 4:18)
Milagros García Klibansky

Fear or dread?

The author recalls their relationship with a renowned professor in Psychiatry who was feared by many due to his stern appearance. However, the author knew the professor well and did not fear him, but rather admired and loved him. The author explains that fear of God is not a paralyzing fear of punishment, but rather a fear of disappointing God and not being worthy of His trust. The fear of betraying God and not living up to His expectations is what guides us to live a life that dignifies and glorifies Him. By accepting this challenge and casting out fear from our lives, we can experience God's love in its fullness. Read more...

Enrique Meneses Muñoz : My LORD has delivered me from many afflictions. Hallelujah, amen.
Glory to God, Henry! It is wonderful to know that the LORD delivers us from all our afflictions. As the psalmist says: "I sought the LORD, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears" (Psalms 34:4). It is a great blessing to know that we have Him at all times and that we can turn to Him for help and comfort. May the LORD continue to bless you!
Francisco Diaz S.: The first judge we have in this life is our conscience.- When our conscience accuses us, we feel ashamed with God and with ourselves and we will not be calm until we have cleansed ourselves of our faults.- Who truly walks with God, walks with his clear conscience.- Beautiful message Pastora Milagros, God bless you
How accurate your reflection, Francisco! Indeed, our conscience is our first instance of judgment in life, and that is why it is important to cultivate a straight conscience and sensitive to the voice of God. As the author of the devotional mentions, "In love there is no fear, but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and he who fears is not made perfect in love" (1 John 4:18). . When we walk in communion with God, He guides us through our conscience that is molded to his will, and we find the peace and tranquility that only He can bring us. May the LORD continue to bless you!
Gustavo Martinez Afanador : The fear of God leads us to a broader knowledge of the love of God, fear of not failing God, knowing that the love of God reconciles us, because you feel in your heart what CHRIST did and be grateful and the love of God leads us to love others despite their mistakes and makes us understand to live in holiness. Blessings
Thanks for sharing your reflection, Gustavo! As the author of the devotional mentions, "In love there is no fear, but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and he who fears is not made perfect in love" (1 John 4:18). . The fear of God leads us to recognize his greatness and his unconditional love, which leads us to a deep gratitude and love for him. And as you well say, this love leads us to love others, despite their mistakes, and to seek to live in holiness. May the LORD continue to bless you!
ROSA MARÍA : I totally agree fear and fear is very different from fear of what. Physical to the earthly and fear is only imparted by our Almighty God, the fear of failing in our daily lives in sin by not fulfilling his mandates, precepts and statutes, by not knowing if we are listening to his voice through the Holy Spirit. To overcome that fear, you have to have a daily relationship with our creator and know him perfectly through his word and as he says in Ephesians 6:11-18 and 27:16-18. God bless you 😇🙏🙏🙏
How well you have expressed it, Rosa María! As you mention, fear is a feeling that only our Almighty God gives us, and that leads us to seek to live in holiness, fulfilling his mandates and precepts. And to overcome that fear, it is important to have a daily relationship with our creator and get to know him through his word. As it says in Ephesians 6:11-18, we need to stand firm in the armor of God to resist the temptations of the enemy, and in constant prayer to always be in fellowship with Him. May the LORD continue to bless you abundantly!
Sabino Marroquín López.: My faith, my trust and my hope is in my Lord Jesus Christ, thank you my God for your blessed and infinite love, amen.
Amen Sabine! How beautiful it is to have our faith, trust and hope placed in our Lord Jesus Christ, who loves us and cares for us with an infinite love. As the author of the devotional says, "In love there is no fear, but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and he who fears is not made perfect in love" (1 John 4:18). . In God's love we find the peace and security that only He can give us. May the LORD continue to bless you abundantly!
