But Elisha sat in his house, and the elders sat with him; and the king sent a man from before him: but ere the messenger came to him, he said to the elders, See ye how this son of a murderer hath sent to take away mine head? look, when the messenger cometh, shut the door, and hold him fast at the door: is not the sound of his master's feet behind him? (2 Kings 6:32)
And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, (Revelation 14:6)

God is calling His Church to take an important place in the public deliberations of our nations

The scene of Elisha sitting with the spiritual and civil authorities of Samaria illustrates the need for the Church of Jesus Christ to be present in the places where political and civil decisions are made. God is calling His Church to get involved in government, media, finance, culture, and academia to declare the Word of God, principles of the Gospel, and disciple the nations. The Church must prepare a group of Holy Spirit-filled individuals to dialogue at those levels and establish the principles of the Gospel in the foundations of society. The Church will be called to sit with the elders of cities and countries to declare the judgments of God and associate closely with civil authorities from a perspective of dictating God's Word and desires for society. We must prepare and ask the Lord to give us the Word of authority for our nations. Read more...
