SUMMARY: The documentary about pink flamingos in Cuba showed that while adult flamingos are beautiful, their young are ugly and vulnerable. Similarly, we can become covered in the mud of the world and lose our purpose, but with the love and protection of our heavenly Father, we can be cleansed and marked as His own. Through Christ's sacrifice, we can reflect the image of our creator and be transformed from weak and sinful to beloved and redeemed.

A few days ago, a documentary about a reserve of pink flamingos that exists in Cuba was shown on TV. They are undoubtedly beautiful animals, God exceeds in giving us beautiful things, of course, we are talking about adult flamingos, because if we look at the little flamingos, we are saddened by the image we receive. Los Small flamingos are ugly, their plumage has a dirty gray color that has nothing to do with the beautiful salmon pink tone of the adults. They are defenseless creatures, they fall into the mud and cannot get out of it, that is why the workers of the place have to be aware of them to rescue them from the mud and carefully clean their ugly feathers otherwise they would die. Also, to prevent them from getting lost, they mark them, so they know where they belong.

We, throughout our lives, sink so many times in the mud of the world that we acquire that gray color, without shades, without purpose and it is because we are immature and only the hand of love and protection of our heavenly Father is able to remove us. of that mud and help us walk on a better path. With his paternal love he leads us through our spiritual growth and marks us with the blood of his beloved son so that we know who we belong to. From ugly flamingos, we become creatures that reflect the image of their creator, the most beautiful image that can be reflected. “For Christ, while we were still weak, in due time died for the wicked. Certainly, hardly any will die for a just; still, it could be that someone dares to die for the good. But God shows his love for us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us ”.
