SUMMARY: The book of Haggai in the Old Testament talks about the rebuilding of the temple after the Jewish people returned from captivity in Babylon. The people were hesitant to rebuild the temple, saying it was not the right time. However, God spoke through the prophet Haggai to remind them that there is never an ideal time to give to the Lord or build his house. The church of Jesus Christ needs to be rebuilding temples at this time as a sign that the devil has wanted to destroy the testimony of God's people, but he will not be able to do it. The church needs to resist the devil and be rebuilding and building its temples as a sign of faith and spiritual discipline.
The sermon is about the importance of not waiting for the "right time" to do God's work, but to trust in His provision and start working towards it. How many are prepared to receive the word of the Lord, now? Haggai, the book of Haggai. It is a tiny book that is there, it is the third to last book of the Old Testament. Then comes Zacarias, and then Malachi, if I'm not mistaken. Haggai, the penultimate book of the Old Testament. Let's go to Chapter 1.
