Deuteronomy 4:31 • John 16:33
In a world of a thousand faces, a sea of digital light, We reach out for true connection, through the lonely modern night. Surrounded by the bustle, by the rush and the endless chase, Yet a quiet ache of emptiness can find its hollow space. We try to build new friendships, to make the effort to belong, But sometimes years go by, and the silence feels too strong.
But take heart, don't surrender, to the shadows you might find, For the Lord, your God, is merciful, He leaves no one behind. He swore a holy covenant, His promise will not cease, In Him, you find your refuge, in Him, you find your peace. Though tribulation fills the world, and burdens weigh you low, Take courage, He has overcome! He'll never let you go.
It's easy to grow weary, to pull our weary selves inside, To fear the vulnerability, where broken hopes can hide. But there's a voice that whispers, beyond the world's loud din, "I am with you every moment, from beginning to the end." Why neglect this constant comfort, this love that's freely shown? When the Creator waits to answer, you never walk alone.
Even when the shadows gathered, and betrayal drew so near, Jesus knew He wasn't lonely, His Father calmed His fear. Others may desert you, and the path may feel unclear, But His companionship is endless, just a whispered prayer to hear. He won't abandon, won't forget, His grace will always bloom, A living, breathing presence, dispelling every gloom.
So take heart, don't surrender, to the shadows you might find, For the Lord, your God, is merciful, He leaves no one behind. He swore a holy covenant, His promise will not cease, In Him, you find your refuge, in Him, you find your peace. Though tribulation fills the world, and burdens weigh you low, Take courage, He has overcome! He'll never let you go.
Oh, He will never let you go, Just a prayer away, you know. His mercy flows, His presence glows, You're never, ever truly alone. Peace in Him, courage now, He has overcome somehow. You are not alone.
