Psalms 38:21 • Mark 5:23
When shadows lengthen, and the burdens press so low, My very spirit whispers, "Lord, don't let Your presence go!" Like ancient hearts that yearned, beneath a heavy hand, For closeness just beyond their grasp, across a barren land. The chill of human desertion, the isolation of our fall, A silent plea for rescue, to answer mercy's call.
But oh, a new morning dawned, a Name revealed! Immanuel, Your touch has healed! No longer distant, no heavy hand, Just life-giving grace across the land. You break the barriers, You draw so near, Dispelling every doubt and fear. Your touch transforms, You make us whole, The living hope within the soul.
A father knelt in anguish, his daughter near the grave, "Please come and lay Your hands on her, my precious one to save!" An outcast woman daring, to touch Your garment's hem, You did not shrink from brokenness, You entered in with them. Your holiness, it purifies, it raises life from death, You break every barrier, with every healing breath.
No heavy hand of judgment, no ancient law defined, But intimate compassion, for all of humankind. You enter the defilement, the space where shadows fall, Your faithfulness unwavering, You answer every call. Cast off the pride, dear soul, invite Him to your cause, His love extends beyond our flaws.
And oh, a new morning dawns, His Name revealed! Immanuel, His touch has healed! No longer distant, no heavy hand, Just life-giving grace across the land. He breaks the barriers, He draws so near, Dispelling every doubt and fear. His touch transforms, He makes us whole, The living hope within the soul.
So remember when you're feeling lost, when sorrow takes its toll, God has drawn near, in Christ, to save your weary soul. His fidelity, forever true, His hand forever near, He ends the dark seasons, dispels every tear. Oh, He makes us whole, He makes us whole. His marvelous light for every soul.
