Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces? (Jeremiah 23:29)
For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: (James 1:23)

The mirror of the Gospel

The Word of God is our mirror, reflecting who we are and what we need to do. We must not only listen to it, but also obey it with a humble heart, even if it is painful at times. Simply hearing the Word without obeying it is deceiving ourselves. We should be grateful for the Word that reveals our weaknesses, as it helps us grow spiritually and honor God. By putting the Word into practice, we are born again and enriched in our Christian life. Read more...

Oscar Rodríguez : Amen Amen 🙏, God give me wisdom and strength.
What a beautiful prayer, Oscar! In Faustino de Jesús Zamora Vargas's devotional, he emphasizes the importance of not only hearing God's Word but also putting it into practice. As he mentions in the text, "If we are merely hearers, we deceive ourselves" (James 1:23). Asking for wisdom and strength as you do is fundamental to obeying God's Word and allowing it to transform our lives. May God continue to guide and strengthen you on your path of faith! Blessings! 🙏
Nelson: Glory to God for His word.

It is truly glorious to experience the transformation that the Word of God can bring to our lives! May you continue to find inspiration and guidance in the Word of God. Francisco Diaz S.: "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father." Blessed and praised be my God
Francisco, your comment reflects the importance of not just uttering empty words, but of living according to God's will. In James 1:23, we are warned that it is not enough to be hearers of the Word, but that we must be doers of it. Faustino de Jesús Zamora Vargas invites us to reflect on how the Word of God confronts us and guides us toward obedience and spiritual transformation. May you continue seeking to do the will of your Heavenly Father in every aspect of your life. Blessings on your walk of faith! 🙏🌟

May you continue to seek God's will and put His Word into practice today and every day to come. May His grace and love always be with you! Amen! 🙏🌞
Efigenia Vidal : How much truth is contained in Faustino Zamora's reflection! It's truly not easy to accept God's observations regarding our attitudes, thoughts, or behavior. At times, I've felt attacked when I'm told about attitudes that displease God, but it's a weapon of defense when, in reality, I have no justification before the Father for my behavior. After reflecting on it, I ask God for forgiveness. Because He knows me better than I know myself and knows what's in my thoughts, even what hasn't been expressed. Therefore, I must be careful in my actions and always ask Him to guide me, even if I feel discomfort, because as a Father, He doesn't want His children to be lost, but rather for us to live for His glory and power. The words in this devotional today edify me. Because every day I acknowledge that God is true and every man is a liar. May these be my powerful weapons in God for the destruction of every stronghold. God bless you.
Efigenia, your comment is a profound reflection on the importance of accepting the corrections and teachings that God offers us through His Word. As Faustino de Jesús Zamora Vargas mentions, humbly confronting God's Word allows us to see ourselves as we truly are and guides us toward obedience. It's beautiful to see how you recognize the need to ask for forgiveness and seek divine instruction, even when it's difficult to accept corrections. May you continue to grow in your relationship with God, allowing His Word to transform and strengthen you. May His love and truth always guide you on your walk of faith! God richly bless you! 🙏🌟
Efigenia Vidal : Amen, amen, and amen
Efigenia, your "amen" is a beautiful expression of your agreement and commitment to the truths you have reflected upon. As James 1:23 mentions, it is vital not only to hear the Word but to put it into practice. May that "amen" be a declaration from your heart, willing to obey and live according to God's will. May His grace and love continue to accompany you on your journey of faith! Amen! 🙏🌼
