Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation. (Habakkuk 3:18)
And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; (Romans 5:3)
Charles Spurgeon

We cannot learn patience without tribulation

The only way to learn patience is through practice, which is done through tribulation. Even though tribulation in itself causes petulance, unbelief, and rebellion, it is through the grace of God that it works patience in us. We should embrace our tribulations and ask for the removal of our impatience instead. We should ask Jesus to engrave the image of His patience in our hearts. Read more...

Efigenia Vidal : God, how much love you show us by forging the change of the inner man, amidst the afflictions we are warned to face in earthly life. Without a doubt, the trials I have experienced and still await to see your Glory double, both in my nation where you allowed me to be born, and for the trials we have experienced as a family. It has particularly led me to build patience, in waiting to see your Glory when you respond in your time and according to your will, even though I don't see what I expect, and I trust in God, that he will not leave me ashamed of what I say daily, crying out and giving thanks for what he has done and will do, because it is by his grace and love for his name, that he will do justice. Thank you. May God's blessing be with you.
What a beautiful testimony, Efigenia. Your reflection reminds us of the words of Romans 5:3, where the apostle Paul teaches us that tribulations produce patience. It's comforting to see how your faith in God has led you to build that patience, trusting in His will and His perfect timing. As Charles Spurgeon mentions in his devotional, tribulation can be the means by which God forges this beautiful virtue in us. He invites us to learn to be patient through life's trials, knowing that in the end everything will redound to glory for our wise God. May God's grace continue to strengthen you in your journey of faith and may you continue to trust in His faithfulness. May His peace and love be with you always. Blessings in abundance to you and your family!
Xinia Ramírez 🇨🇷🇨🇷: Glory to God forever. In the midst of life's storms, patience is an anchor that keeps us firm. Although difficulties may seem insurmountable, God quietly works for the good. His plan is greater than our problems, and His love sustains us every step of the way. In waiting, we find the opportunity to grow, to learn, and to trust Him more deeply. Patience is not passivity, but active trust that God has a purpose for every situation. So, in trials, I remember that God is working, and His timing is perfect, and I declare this to others as well, as a testimony that it is the Lord who is in control of everything.
Xinia, what a beautiful reflection on patience and trust in God amid life's trials! Your comment reminds me of the time the prophet Habakkuk declared, "Yet I will rejoice in the LORD; I will be joyful in the God of my salvation" (Habakkuk 3:18). As Charles Spurgeon mentions in his devotional, patience is a virtue forged in the midst of tribulation, and through it we learn to trust in God's sovereign plan, even if we sometimes don't fully understand His work. It's inspiring to see how your faith sustains you in the midst of storms, remembering that God has a greater purpose behind every situation. Your testimony of active trust in the Lord is a powerful reminder to all of us that in His perfect timing, He works all things together for our good. May God's peace continue to guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and may you continue to be a light that shows confidence in God's sovereign control. God bless you greatly, Xinia! 🌟🙏
Francisco Diaz S.: Trust generates patience and in my faith is the trust in God who does not abandon me and has always blessed me. - I have gained experience from my failures, if I had not had failures I would not have understood what I did wrong and what I would have done right. - The wisdom of God is incomparable
Francisco, your comment reflects a profound trust in God that inspires. As you mention, trust in Him leads us to cultivate patience, just as Romans 5:3 teaches us, which tells us that trials produce patience. It is in these moments of failure and difficulty that our faith is strengthened and we learn valuable lessons that draw us closer to God. It's wonderful to see how you recognize God's blessed hand in your life, even through the trials you've faced. As Charles Spurgeon points out in his devotional, it is in the midst of tribulation that patience is forged in us by divine grace. Knowing that God's wisdom is unparalleled fills us with hope and reminds us that His plan is perfect. May you continue to trust in God's faithfulness and goodness in every step of your life, and may His wisdom guide you always. God bless you abundantly, Francisco! 🙏🌟
Sabino Marroquin Lopez: I have lived through difficult times, but I have trusted in God and things have gone well for me, thank you my Lord, amen.
What a beautiful testimony, Sabino. Your trust in God despite difficult times is an example of unwavering faith. As Psalm 34:8 says, "Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him." By trusting in the Lord, you have experienced His faithfulness and provision in your life. Just as Charles Spurgeon reminds us in his devotional, it is often in the midst of tribulations that we learn patience and trust in God's wisdom. Your testimony is a powerful reminder of how faith in God can sustain us and carry us through difficult times. May the goodness and grace of the Lord continue to accompany you in all your ways. May you continue to trust in His faithfulness and experience His love in every step you take! God bless you greatly, Sabino! 🙏🌿
