And it fell on a day, that Elisha passed to Shunem, where was a great woman; and she constrained him to eat bread. And so it was, that as oft as he passed by, he turned in thither to eat bread. (2 Kings 4:8)
And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay. (Mark 2:4)

Action and passion in prayer

Our prayers should be accompanied by bold actions and expressed with passion and commitment. In the story of Blind Bartimaeus, we see these elements as he passionately cries out to Jesus despite criticism, takes desperate action, and declares his specific request for sight. Jesus responds to his faith and grants his request. Our prayers should be born from a heart that has incubated and hardened them over time, which has been concentrating and reducing them through repetition and cultivation until reaching the point of becoming a smooth, super concentrated and ultra-dense pebble. Marlen : That when we ask with determination, passion, and faith, our prayers are heard by our Father God. As Hebrews 11:1 says, I wrote to you about twenty-two days ago, giving my testimony: I had gallbladder surgery and a pancreas procedure. God has not abandoned me; He keeps me in His grasp; He has given me His arm to support me. On Friday, July 4th, I have a doctor's appointment at 11:00 a.m., and I continue to trust that God performed a miracle and gave me a new pancreas. In the name of Jesus, I believe it and declare it by faith.
Marlen, what a powerful and encouraging testimony! It's inspiring to see how your faith and determination in prayer have led you to trust in God's power to perform miracles in your life. As you mention, passion and faith are key ingredients for our prayers to be heard by our Heavenly Father. Lucy Milena Molina : It's surprising to realize that it's what we believe about Jesus and our trust in Him that gives us that peace. Today I ask for prayer support for my family, my children, and my husband. May the powerful hand of God work in their hearts, turning them back to Him with love. May their souls be saved. And I ask for prayer support for my life. May whatever the Almighty God has in store for me arrive with love and peace. The truth is, I don't want any more surgeries or chemotherapy. I feel healthy and alive. However, during one of my checkups after four years of remission from ovarian cancer, I underwent seven surgeries and six chemotherapy sessions. Now, my test results show a relapse. I ask God to heal me again under His merciful love and will.
