An inside look at bitterness

Bitterness is a sin that masquerades as wisdom and judgment. It can take root in anyone's heart and lead to judgment, anger, and resentment towards others. It is a divisive force that can destroy the beauty of the body of Christ. The remedy to bitterness is to be kind, merciful, and forgiving towards others, just as God forgave us in Christ. Confessing our bitterness and forgiving those who have offended us can bring peace and liberation. Read more...

Comments:

Efigenia Vidal: Being obedient to the Lord, as he clearly contemplates it in His word, is a good praise before Him. The reflection of the devotional presented by Pastor Faustino Zamora invites us to be humble and obedient above all, as we live together in serving the Lord and exalting His love in each of us. We often insist on doing things that, while seemingly good for the person, we must ask ourselves if they are appropriate in the presence of God. The channel of communion with the Lord is very important; humbling ourselves and asking Him to wash away all filthiness is our gain and love before the Father. Thank you. May God bless you and the Holy Spirit guide you. Amen.
What a beautiful reflection, Efigenia Vidal. It's true that obedience and humility are fundamental virtues for serving the Lord and exalting His love in our lives. As Faustino de Jesús Zamora Vargas mentions in his devotional, bitterness can be an obstacle on our spiritual journey. It's important to remember the words of the Bible that urge us to put aside anger, rage, and bitterness, as mentioned in Ephesians 4:31. Seeking communion with God and allowing His love to transform us is the key to overcoming any negative feelings. May the Holy Spirit continue to guide your path. God bless you!
Sabino Marroquin Lopez.: Lord and my God, I ask for your blessing on my projects, to help needy families, so that their little children do not suffer from hunger.
What a beautiful intention, Sabino Marroquín López. It's wonderful to see how you desire to bless families in need and care for the most vulnerable, just as Jesus teaches us in His Word. By seeking God's blessing for your projects, you are demonstrating your generous and compassionate heart. Always remember to trust in the Lord and His provision, and may He guide your steps to bring relief and hope to those in need. As Psalm 37:8 says, let us put aside anger and seek to act in love and compassion. May God bless your noble desires and strengthen you in this beautiful work! Courage and keep going!
Rodolfo Manuel Quirós Ramirez : This word teaches us to be whole people, part of the body of Christ, and not boastful and proud. It is a blessing to be able to read the word you give us. God bless you always. And as the Lord Jesus Christ said, he who humbles himself is greater in heaven. We must be wise, and it is much better to remain silent, often. Blessings.
What a beautiful comment, Rodolfo Manuel Quirós Ramírez. It is essential to seek integrity and humility in our journey as part of the Body of Christ, as you mention. Let us always remember that true greatness lies in humility and service to others, following the example of our Lord Jesus Christ. As Faustino de Jesús Zamora Vargas so aptly expresses in his devotional, bitterness can lead us down the wrong path, but by humbling ourselves and forgiving, we can find liberation and peace. May the Lord continue to guide your steps toward wisdom and humility, and may His blessing be always with you. May God bless you abundantly on your journey of following Christ with integrity and love! Forward in your faith!
Francisco Diaz S.: Bitterness harbors resentment, envy, unleashes hatred and desires for revenge, destroys the good in the soul and evil flourishes, there is no peace in the spirit. - Let us pray to the Lord to give us inner peace, let us ask forgiveness for our faults and let us become humble of heart, that it may be Christ Jesus who takes control of our lives.
What an insightful reflection, Francisco Díaz S. Bitterness, as you rightly point out, can be the breeding ground for negative feelings that poison the soul and damage our relationships. It is essential to turn to God in prayer to seek inner peace, ask forgiveness for our faults, and cultivate humility in our hearts. As Faustino de Jesús Zamora Vargas mentions in his devotional, bitterness is a sin that disguises itself as hypocrisy and separates us from God's purposes. In the midst of our internal struggles, may we allow Christ to take control of our lives and guide us on the path of love and reconciliation. May God's peace and forgiveness flood your being and strengthen you in your journey. May Christ be the center of everything in your life! May God bless you abundantly!
Wulfredo líbranos Señor : “There is a ‘visible’ ghost that haunts the churches.” It is the same ghost that spoke to Eve in the desert. It prowls around like a roaring lion. The apostle Paul exhorts us in the book of Ephesians five things: we must not have carnal warfare; there are no helpers of the devil; we must put on the armor of God; pray always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit and for myself, so that when I open my mouth, utterance may be given to me so that with boldness I may make known the mystery of the gospel. This is what the adversary is subtly trying to interrupt. Let the weak say, I am strong in the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
What an interesting connection you make, Wulfredo, when you mention the subtle but harmful presence of a "ghost" that haunts the churches, reminding us of the cunning of the adversary who seeks to sow discord and bitterness. It is true that, as Faustino de Jesús Zamora Vargas says in his devotional, bitterness can disguise itself as hypocrisy and separate us from God's purposes. It is essential to remember the words of the apostle Paul in Ephesians about the importance of spiritual warfare and equipping ourselves with the armor of God to resist the enemy's schemes. In the midst of adversity, may we declare with faith that we are strong in the Lord Jesus Christ and trust in His power to overcome any obstacle. May constant prayer and steadfastness in the Word guide us in the spiritual battle. Amen! May the strength of Christ be your shield and protection at all times! May God accompany you and strengthen you in your faith!
Antonio Rosales : Blessings, the interesting topic of Ephesians. 4:31 about bitterness, it is easy to say that bitterness damages the word of God, but whoever wants to get it out is the big problem. When Moses struck the rock, what did he bring out of his interior bitterness after seeing how his Israelite brothers were? How long did it take to get rid of his love for his people? So much stubbornness of man and they do not live the true love of Christ. We live a face that when we look in the mirror we see ourselves beautiful, but when the mirror is no longer there, we do not see how many people have embittered our hearts and souls. We do not see when God tells us not to trust in the natural man. And it leads us to the condemnation of not forgiving. Bitterness is kept within us, hidden, waiting to explode from the root that is very deep. We do not like the Love of Christ to take root because of a lack of sincere forgiveness. We do not let the Holy Spirit work in our lives. The athlete works on his weak area, the Christian does not like to work on his weakness. The word says, "The weak am strong, Joel." 3:10 God bless this ministry always
