And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. (Genesis 2:2)
And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat. (Mark 6:31)

Times to rest

It is important for disciples to take breaks and rest in the Lord, as even Jesus took time to rest with his disciples. Life is not just about working for the Kingdom, but also about taking time to rest, spend time with family, and recharge. Pastors and leaders should also prioritize rest and time with their families, and churches should give their leaders time off for family activities. Growth systems that take advantage of people and lead to burnout should be avoided. It is important to have a balanced rhythm of work and rest to renew ourselves and give more to the ministry. Comments:

Efigenia Vidal : God is wise. Being the Creator allows Him to demonstrate through His word that He is in control of everything, overlooking nothing. This is confirmed in the theme Pastor Miranda shares today, as he shares through the devotional reflection: that we all have the right to share, to enjoy moments of finding ourselves with ourselves, and to care for our loved ones. The opportunity to provide care and the time to be cared for in a family environment is very fulfilling and joyful, and God makes this clear when He invites us to step back from it all—a dynamic that absorbs energy that needs to be replenished. God bless you.
Thank you for sharing your reflection, Efigenia Vidal. It's true that God invites us to step back and rest, as mentioned in Pastor Miranda's devotional. It's essential to remember that, just as God rested on the seventh day after completing His work, we too need times of rest to renew ourselves and continue serving. May we find that balance between work and rest, allowing ourselves to enjoy moments of recharging both spiritually and physically. God bless you!
