The Christian life is not just about words and concepts, but also about power. The apostle Paul says that the Gospel is the power of God, and the weapons of our military are powerful in God. The Lord Jesus Christ told the disciples not to leave Jerusalem until they received power from the Holy Spirit. We should ask the Lord to give us supernatural power to witness, live a holy life, overcome temptations, speak boldly, endure troubles, and more. This power comes from the Holy Spirit and can be cultivated through fasting, prayer, and meditation on the Word of the Lord. It is not artificial power, but benevolent power that exemplifies love, grace, compassion, and generosity. May the Lord fill us with this power today.
