Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days. (Ecclesiastes 11:1)
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. (Galatians 6:9)
Charles Spurgeon

Nowhere will our labor in the Lord be in vain

We should not expect immediate rewards for our good deeds and should not limit our efforts to those who will reward us. We should be like the Egyptian who throws seed into the Nile, which seems like a waste, but produces a harvest in due time. Our job is to do good and teach, and it is up to God to fulfill his promise. We must exercise patience as the promise may take time to be fulfilled. We should focus on keeping the precept and doing good on this day. Read more...

Comments:

Julio Saturnino Ardura López : Thank you for the blessed word of God. We humans are naturally impactful, I often find that I want the need here and now. But God already knows our needs before we ask him. Again, thank you and many blessings. May God always bless you. Amen and Amen.
What a beautiful comment, Julio! It is true that we often want to see quick and tangible results in our labors, but as Charles Spurgeon mentions in his devotional, we must be patient and trust that God will fulfill His promises in His perfect timing. As mentioned in Ecclesiastes 11:1, “Cast your bread upon the waters, for after many days you will find it.” Sometimes we sow without seeing the harvest right away, but God is working behind the scenes. May God bless you abundantly and give you the strength to continue sowing in faith! Amen and Amen!
Gilberto: That all the Word of God is of great blessing,
Hello, Gilberto! I totally agree with you, the Word of God is an inexhaustible source of blessing and wisdom for our lives. As mentioned in Galatians 6:9, "Let us not grow weary (not faint) in doing good, for in due season we will reap a harvest if we do not grow weary." Let us continue to trust that the Lord is working through His Word in our lives, even when we do not see the fruits immediately. May you continue to be strengthened and edified by the Word of God! Blessings!
Patricia Campo : Thankful to the Lord because we have the daily devotional again. I needed it. Blessings to all who make it possible for this devotional to reach our emails and saturate our lives. They are a living example of what the word says today: let us not tire of doing good. It is so important to keep this word alive. Doing good for the work of the Lord, without expecting a reward. But the Lord does know how to give good rewards.
Patricia Campo : Thankful to the Lord because the devotional came back to my email. You are the clear example of what the Word says today: let us not grow weary in doing good because in due time we will reap. What a wonderful invitation to do things without the interest of getting something from the Lord. However, He never leaves the work we do for His kingdom unrewarded. Thank you team, God speaks today.
Hello, Patricia! It is wonderful to see your gratitude for the devotional and how you recognize the importance of not giving up in doing good, just as Galatians 6:9 encourages us. God knows our actions and promises us that in His time we will reap if we do not grow weary. Your reflection on doing good for the love of God, without expecting a reward, but trusting that He will reward us, is inspiring. May we continue to be faithful in sowing good works, trusting that God is faithful to reward them. Blessings and thank you for sharing your heart!

As Charles Spurgeon mentions, nowhere will our labor in the Lord be in vain. Every act of sharing the Word and edifying others has an eternal impact. May you continue to be instruments in the hands of God to bless others and may He continue to strengthen your lives through His Word. God bless you and keep you!
Manuel Diaz: I praise and bless God first of all for his return, what a great truth, it is similar when one sows the word in hearts through preaching sooner or later we will see the fruits as Charles Spurgeon mentions.

As Charles Spurgeon mentions, labor in the Lord is never in vain, and in due time we will see the fruits of that sowing. Let us always remember the words of Ecclesiastes 11:1, "Cast your bread upon the waters, for after many days you will find it," trusting that the Word sown will bear fruit in God's time. Efigenia Vidal : God's blessing be with the Lion of Judah Ministry. When the verse came to my mind, do good, do everything as if it were God, instead of the one who needs it, the meaning struck me. At that moment, the content it contains was engraved in my mind. The value of serving another, instead of the Eternal FATHER, is good, pleasant. I try as much as possible despite all obstacles, to do it well. Because I know that He knows everything, can do everything, and just as I want to be treated, I must give.
Hello, Efigenia! It is inspiring to see how the verse from Galatians 6:9 about doing good impacted you and resonated in your heart. Your focus on serving others as if it were God Himself reflects a beautiful attitude of love and dedication. Just as Charles Spurgeon mentions, nowhere will our labor in the Lord be in vain. God bless you abundantly!
