God speaks today Friday | April 14, 2023

He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. (Micah 7:19)
For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. (Romans 6:14)
Dr. Roberto Miranda

Sin will have no dominion over us

In Romans 12:1, the apostle Paul calls us to present our bodies as a living sacrifice, which means to bring ourselves to the Lord. In Romans 6:11-14, Paul emphasizes the importance of considering ourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus. We must not let sin rule over our bodies, but rather present ourselves to God and our members as instruments of justice. As believers in Christ, we are free from the dictatorship of sin and have the freedom to choose to serve God's purposes. We must confess our freedom in Christ and not let sin have control over our lives. Read more...

edinson: I would appreciate pr. Miranda shared the theme with me: "I am pleased to do your will". May our heavenly Father shower you with blessings.
Hello Edison, thanks for your comment! To answer your question, the text "I am pleased to do your will" is a quote from the Bible found in Psalm 40:8. This psalm is a call to trust in the Lord and to seek His will in our lives. As Dr. Roberto Miranda mentions in his devotional, our response as believers should be the same as that of the psalmist: "Here I am, O God, to do your will" (Hebrews 10:7). May God bless you in your quest to do His will in your life. Blessings!
Blanca Bonilla : God greatly bless God's servant thank God for your effort every day so that the people of God through your life are built as the word says every morning your mercies are new Blessings

As you well mention, every day we are strengthened by the new mercies of God (Lamentations 3:22-23), and it is our duty as children of God to build ourselves and others in His love and truth. May God bless you too and use you as an instrument of His grace and mercy. Blessings!

Thank you for your comment, Jesus! As you well mention, the fight against the desires of the flesh is a constant in our lives as believers, but we have the promise that if we submit to God and resist the devil, he will flee from us (James 4:7). It is our responsibility as children of God to stand firm in Him and seek His will at all times. May you continue to grow in your faith and dependence on God, and may his blessing be with you at all times. Blessings!
