Thus my heart was grieved, and I was pricked in my reins. (Psalm 73:21)
Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: (Ephesians 4:31)

Bitterness

Bitterness is a dangerous trap that can consume anyone's heart, and it is not dependent on external circumstances but on our attitude towards them. Psalm 73 reminds us that focusing on the apparent success of evil or the frustrations of life can lead to bitterness, but drawing closer to God and contemplating his works can be the antidote. Counting God's blessings, grace, forgiveness, and mercy can help us overcome bitterness and find hope in the Lord. Read more...

Comments:

Enrique Meneses Muñoz : I need GOD to free me from any bitter situation. Amen my LORD.
Enrique, what Alberto González Muñoz says in his devotional is true, bitterness is one of the greatest tragedies that can occur in someone's life. But as he mentions, the solution is to seek and deepen our relationship with God. It is important that we remember what Psalm 73:28 says "But as for me, drawing near to God is good; I have put my hope in the Lord God, to count all your works." So, like you, we need God to free us from any bitter situation. May He be our hope and may we count all his works, to find joy and peace in the midst of any circumstance. Also remember what Ephesians 4:31 says "Be removed from you all bitterness, anger, anger, shouting, insults, as well as all malice". Let us pray together so that God frees us from all bitterness and fills us with his love and peace. Amen.
Claudia Olvera : Well, bitterness is a strong subject, the word of God speaks in Hebrews 12:15, it speaks of a root of bitterness that contaminates others, it is like poison, it destroys those around us, it separates us from God.
You are absolutely right Claudia. Bitterness not only affects the person who carries it in their heart, but it can also contaminate others and destroy relationships. As you well mention, Hebrews 12:15 speaks of the root of bitterness that contaminates others. That is why it is important that as children of God, we always seek to keep our hearts free from all bitterness. And this is only possible if we approach and trust in God, as mentioned in Psalm 73:28 "But as for me, drawing near to God is good; I have put my hope in the Lord God, to count all your plays". So, let's keep trusting God, counting his works and keeping our hearts free of bitterness. God bless you!

Good morning Francis. I'm sorry you're having problems with your mail from the page. I suggest you contact the page's technical support team so they can help you with your problem. Regarding the devotion that Alberto González Muñoz shared about bitterness, it is important that we remember that the solution is to seek and deepen our relationship with God. Psalm 73:28 tells us: "But as for me, drawing near to God is good; I have put my hope in the Lord GOD, to count all your works." May God bless you and may you soon solve your problem with the page's mail.
Gustavo Martinez Afanador : Bitterness should only exist in the heart without CHRIST, because they compete and live doing harm to others and their heart is full of pain because others succeed. What we children of God feel in our hearts is love, humility and patience to move forward with God's help and live a life that pleases God. Blessings
That's right, Gustavo. As children of God, we must carry in our hearts the love, humility and patience that give us strength to overcome difficulties and move forward with God's help. It is true that bitterness can arise in the hearts of those who compete and live doing harm to others, but as you rightly mention, the peace and tranquility that only God can give must reign in the hearts of the children of God. May God continue to bless your life and give you the strength to move forward with faith and hope in Him.
Cynthia: What a beautiful and appropriate message (everyone has been very good), but we are living in times where negative feelings seem to direct the thoughts and actions of the majority, bitterness tends to victimization and the absence of responsibilities to lack of integrity, struggle and sacrifice to get ahead, even to be happy. Thank you for the messages, encouragement and teachings you share every day.
You are absolutely right Cynthia. In these difficult times, it's easy to fall into the trap of negative feelings and bitterness. But as you rightly mention, we cannot allow bitterness to lead us to victimization and a lack of responsibility in our own lives. As children of God, we must have the strength, struggle, and sacrifice necessary to get ahead and find happiness in the midst of any circumstance. And for this, it is essential to maintain a close relationship with God and count all his works, as Psalm 73:28 says "But as for me, drawing near to God is good; I have put my hope in the Lord God, to count all your deeds." Thank you for your words and may God bless you in everything you do.
Sabino Marroquín López.: Bitterness and sadness are erased: when we believe and trust in God with feeling, when we ask God for help with all our hearts, He immediately gives us his hand, I have the experience, in the year 1968, I had my three children sick and had no job, and in the midst of my sadness I said these words: if it is true that God exists; I ask him to get a job, and after five minutes I got a job, this was a miracle from God, how beautiful is my God, amen.
Thanks for sharing your experience Sabine. It is an inspiring testimony of how faith and trust in God can change our lives and erase the bitterness and sadness that may be in our hearts. It is important to remember that God is always willing to help us when we ask him for help with all our hearts, as you mention in your comment. He is a God of miracles and blessings, and when we trust him, he never leaves us alone. May God continue to bless you and fill your life with joy and hope. Amen!
Yasmina Puello: that if we have problems rest in GOD and delivering bitter sadness. life is not easy and bitter much less IN CHRIST WE ARE WINNER
That's right, Yasmine. In times of problems and difficulties, it is important to seek help and strength from God. As you well mention, we must give God our sorrows and bitterness, and trust Him to help us overcome any obstacle in our lives. It is true that life is not easy, but as children of God, we have the promise that in Christ we are victors. In Romans 8:37 it says, "In all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us." May God bless you and give you the strength to move forward with faith and hope in Him.

Amen, Jesus. May God bless you and fill you with his love and grace in everything you do. Have a day full of blessings!
Ylciamendez : This reading is very good and interesting because there are many people tied up for that reason. God help them to forgive and be free.
You are absolutely right, Ylciamendez. Many people can be bound by bitterness and resentment, and it is important to seek God's help in order to forgive and be free from those bonds. As the author of the devotional mentioned, the solution to get away from the clutches of bitterness is to get closer to God and contemplate the greatness of his works. When we focus on God's blessings and unconditional love, it is easier to forgive and let go of resentment. May God bless you and help you to forgive and be free from any ties.
