I have longed for thy salvation, O LORD; and thy law is my delight. (Psalm 119:174)
For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward; (Hebrews 2:2)
Dr. Roberto Miranda

How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation?

The writer of the Epistle to the Hebrews, similar to the Apostle Paul in Romans chapter 12, emphasizes the importance of taking seriously the great salvation received through Christ Jesus. The writer points out that in the previous plan of salvation in the Old Testament, God immediately brought punishment for disobedience and neglect of the plan. Therefore, Christians must be careful about how they behave and not neglect the seriousness with which they should serve the Lord. The salvation through Christ Jesus has been confirmed by those who heard God testifying together with them, with signs and wonders, and various miracles. The writer emphasizes that neglecting such a great salvation will lead to punishment and discipline from the Lord. Read more...

Amen, Elizabeth. It is true that we should value the sacrifice Jesus Christ made for us on the cross and diligently care for our salvation. As the author of the devotional well said, "how will we escape if we neglect such a great salvation?" (Hebrews 2:3). Therefore, we must take our relationship with Him seriously and strive to live a life that reflects the greatness of His plan of salvation. May the Lord help us to be faithful and obedient to His call. Blessings.

Francisco Diaz S.: We are in a time of recollection, of fasting, of prayer to praise Christ the Lord.- Many Christians confuse this week as a time of joy, travel, fun.- What we commemorate is the sacrifice of the Lamb of God.
You are right, Francis. Holy Week is a time of recollection, fasting, prayer and reflection on the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ. Many times this week is confused with a time of rest and fun, when in reality we should be remembering and commemorating the sacrifice of the Lamb of God that gave us salvation. It is important that as Christians, we take this time to reflect on God's love and mercy in our lives and renew our commitment to Him. May the Lord help us to live in obedience to His will and to follow His example of love and sacrifice. . Blessings.
