(Hebrews 2:1) The danger of taking lightly the call to holiness
Paul and the writer of Hebrews both emphasize the importance of diligently attending to the things we have heard in the Word of God, as a consequence of the greatness of God's plan and our call to holiness. We must be careful not to slip away from our commitment to the Lord and to present our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God. Holiness is not an option for God's children, but a necessary commitment in the fight against the current of the world, the flesh, and the devil. We must make a daily resolution to serve the Lord with holiness and integrity, with the understanding that we have a precious salvation that we cannot neglect.
