My son, let not them depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion: (Proverbs 3:21)
Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip. (Hebrews 2:1)
Dr. Roberto Miranda

The danger of taking lightly the call to holiness

Paul and the writer of Hebrews both emphasize the importance of diligently attending to the things we have heard in the Word of God, as a consequence of the greatness of God's plan and our call to holiness. We must be careful not to slip away from our commitment to the Lord and to present our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God. Holiness is not an option for God's children, but a necessary commitment in the fight against the current of the world, the flesh, and the devil. We must make a daily resolution to serve the Lord with holiness and integrity, with the understanding that we have a precious salvation that we cannot neglect. Read more...

Comments:

Enrique Meneses Mu帽oz: To strengthen my holiness with my LORD. I praise you GOD.
Enrique, your comment is very appropriate for the theme of this devotional. As Dr. Roberto Miranda mentioned, holiness is not an option for the children of God, since we serve a holy God who calls us to live a life pleasing to Him. It is important that we strive daily to strengthen our holiness with our Mister. As the verse of Proverbs 3:21 says, we must keep prudence and discretion in our Christian life, paying attention to what we have heard and not deviating from God's path. May the Lord bless you and guide you in your search for holiness.
Maria Jaramillo : It is true without holiness we will not see the Lord. Praised be our Heavenly Father.
That's Maria. As you well mention, holiness is a fundamental requirement to be able to see the Lord. We must strive daily to please God and to have a life that reflects the holiness of our Heavenly Father. As Dr. Roberto Miranda mentions in his devotional, this call to live a holy life is not an option, but a necessity for those of us who have been called by God. May we continue to seek holiness in our lives and praise our Heavenly Father in all that we do.
gladis: blessed word!
It's good that you have been blessed by this word, Gladis. It is important to reflect on holiness and the call that God has made to all believers to live a life pleasing to Him. May the Lord continue to bless you and guide you on your path towards an increasingly sanctified life.
Francisco Diaz S.: Good morning, beloved Pastors and servants of Christ.- In life we have two options to choose: one, the wide path of fun, laughter and noise, and the other, the narrow path of holiness, modesty, and commitment to God .- Let us not deviate from the narrow path, because there are many who choose it and few who reach their goal.- Let us ask the Lord for strength to reach his glory.
Good morning Francis. Thank you for your very accurate comment. As you say, in life we have two options to choose from, the broad path of fun and noise, or the narrow path of holiness and commitment to God. It is important that we choose the right path and stick to it, without deviating from our ultimate goal, which is the glory of God. As Dr. Roberto Miranda mentions in his devotional, holiness is not an option for the children of God, but a necessity in order to live a life pleasing to Him and reach our final goal. May the Lord give us the strength to continue on this narrow path and reach the goal for which He has called us. God bless you.
Teresa Medina : I feel blessed for always reading your messages, which encourage me to continue trusting in the LORD and thus be able to fully live a personal relationship with Him; so that one day you can reach your HOLINESS.Amen 馃檹

Sabino Marroqu铆n L贸pez.: Repentance and prayer are the path to Holiness, thank you my God for your great love, amen.
That's right, Sabine. Repentance and prayer are a fundamental part of the path to holiness. Repentance allows us to recognize our mistakes and sins before God, and prayer brings us closer to Him to seek His guidance and strength in our daily walk. May we continue to seek holiness through a life of repentance and constant prayer. Thank God for his great love and mercy towards us. God bless you.
Francisco Avil茅s Soto : These topics are very helpful. May our God continue to endow you with Wisdom...
We are glad to know that the topics covered in these devotionals are helpful for your spiritual life, Francisco. Thank you for your words of encouragement and for your wishes that God continue to provide wisdom to the pastors and servants of Christ. Indeed, wisdom is a very valuable gift that God gives us to be able to discern His will and make the right decisions in our lives. May God bless you and continue to guide you on your way to a life closer to Him.
Gustavo Martinez Afanador : After having known the sweetness of salvation and rejoicing in the presence of God, as we neglect to go back and after having won the salvation that cost the blood and death of JESUS CHRIST, you still have the option of returning again, the LORD awaits you with the open arms and welcome you, the LORD never forgets us. Blessings
That's right, Gustavo. It is sad to see how many times, after having experienced salvation and the presence of God in our lives, we become careless and go backwards in our faith. But as you well say, the Lord always awaits us with open arms and gives us the opportunity to return to Him and resume our journey towards holiness. As Dr. Roberto Miranda mentions in his devotional, the Christian life is a fight against the current and requires a constant commitment to the Lord. But the important thing is to have the willingness to return to Him when we stray from the path. May God bless you and guide you on your way to a life closer to Him.
