God speaks today Friday | March 24, 2023

O LORD, I beseech thee, let now thine ear be attentive to the prayer of thy servant, and to the prayer of thy servants, who desire to fear thy name: and prosper, I pray thee, thy servant this day, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man. For I was the king's cupbearer. (Nehemiah 1:11)
Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. (James 4:3)
Dr. Roberto Miranda

Be specific when you pray

Being specific and passionate in our prayers is important in the life of faith. God is a precise God and expects us to pray with precision. The great prayers that changed the destiny of the nation of Israel possessed a quality of specificity and passion. Sometimes God allows delays and silences in our prayers to purify us and raise our posture of concentrated faith. It is the passion and clarity in our requests that allows us to be precise in presenting them to God, and it is this kind of passionate action that generates a favorable decision from heaven.
