Words of hope in the midst of the crisis

In the story of Martha and Mary, Martha is shown as the diligent and responsible one who goes out to meet Jesus when she hears of His arrival. Mary stays at home, perhaps praying. When Martha meets Jesus, she expresses regret that He did not arrive in time to save her brother from dying. But she also confesses her faith in God, saying that she knows whatever Jesus asks of God, He will give it to Him. This teaches us the importance of having positive, hopeful words even in the midst of pain and crisis, as words have power. We should trust in God's plan and not reproach Him for what we perceive as delays or shortcomings. Read more...

Walter: We are either blessed or not by how we speak to others. Speak kindness and lovingly toward others and you will find that what you will receive is reciprocal kindness and love. You will be satisified with what comes back upon you. Speak graciously toward those around you - and graciousness will most likely be what you receive. But if you speak out bitter, resentful, and hurtful words - do not be shocked to see that others will speak in a like manner to you. https://www.calvarychapeljonesboro.org/proverb-a-day/mouth-fruit-that-satisfies-a-mans-stomach-proverbs-1820
