The value of not neglecting the spiritual life

In a world of spiritual ruin, we need to rely on prayer and dependence on God to do His work. The book of Nehemiah teaches us to renounce our possessions and passions to submit to God's will. We have an enemy who opposes God's plans, and we must rebuild the walls that have been torn down by neglecting our spiritual life. We need to humble ourselves before God and watch day and night so that the enemy does not gain ground. Let us not neglect our relationship with God in a world of moral and spiritual ruin.
