Keeping God's word means obeying it intentionally and practically, not just treasuring it. Joshua's emphasis on obeying God's word led to the fulfillment of God's promises for his people. Sanctification is a necessary process for the Christian, and a holy nation separated for God is aware of this urgency. God's providence always favors his people, and serving the Lord brings joy and peace. Our true hope is in Jesus Christ, who is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
