God with us

SUMMARY: The pastor and his colleague pray before the Lord, thanking him for the presence and the many ways in which they can show their love and need for him. They read from Matthew chapter 1, verse 18, about the birth of Jesus Christ. The central idea of Christmas is Emanuel, which means God is with us. This is not just the omnipresence of God, but also the fact that he is among us, in our favor, and accompanying, supporting, leading, encouraging and egging us on. God wants to be our friend and is pursuing us because he has a purpose for us. Christmas is not just about the material things, but about the truth that God is with us.

The name Emanuel means "God with us", which has two meanings. Firstly, it means that God came to be with us in the form of Jesus, who was born on Christmas Day. Secondly, it means that God is with us every day, supporting us, encouraging us, and giving us his anointing and revelation. When we realize that God is with us, we can live boldly and listen to our dreams, knowing that nothing can stop us. We should ask God for a mission worthy of his glory and believe that he can do the impossible. If we believe that God is with us, we will never be forsaken or left wanting. We should declare "Emanuel" upon our lives and believe that God is with us wherever we go.

How many of you had a Merry Christmas? Pastor Omar and I have a prayer before the Lord today. We want 100% response to that before the end of this day. There is something that God has for you today, for you to be merry and glad about. The Lord is with you and he is never going to abandon you or leave you. Let’s go before the Lord.

Heavenly Father we thank you for your presence. We thank you for every song and carol that was brought before you. Thank you for that choir. Thank you dear Lord God, for the drama. Thank you for the many ways that you have created for us to tell you how much we love you and need you. And thank you for this word. Spirit of God this is your word, I ask that you breathe upon it and bring it to life so that souls may be set free, so that bodies may be healed and those who are in chains and in gloom may walk up free. We ask in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
