Psalms 92:13 • Ephesians 4:1-3
We come to find a mirror, a reflection of our own, A place where every feeling perfectly is known. We search for patterns fitting, a vision we embrace, Forgetting You, the Architect of time and grace. Sometimes we seek convenience, a comfort for our soul, But miss the deeper purpose, to make Your Spirit whole.
Oh, to be planted deeply, in Your house, O Lord, To flourish in Your courts, by Your living word. To walk in worthy calling, with humility and grace, Preserving unity in love, in this sacred, holy place. For You are King, You are Lord, the center of it all, Our lives rooted in Your purpose, standing strong and tall.
We glance for human failings, a word misunderstood, When worship feels imperfect, or fellowship not good. We judge the voice that offers truth, the hand that seeks to serve, And miss the lasting lessons that faithful hearts preserve. But You called us to Your body, through harvest and through drought, To find our true belonging, no shadow of a doubt.
When darkness seeks to scatter, and unity's assailed, You prayed that we be one, Your Spirit has prevailed. Not built to our own measure, but woven by Your hand, A tapestry of differences, across every tribe and land. This long-term sacred promise, a faithfulness profound, In Your beloved Church, where true belonging's found.
So keep us rooted, Lord, in the Spirit's bond of peace, Loving Your Bride profoundly, till all our striving cease. No longer seeking comfort, but Your glorious renown, In this community of saints, where Christ alone is crowned.
