Jericho, God's methodology

Summary: This sermon is based on Joshua, chapter 6, which tells the story of the Israelites' conquest of the city of Jericho. The city was well fortified and seemed impossible to conquer, but God gave Joshua specific instructions on how to do it. The first principle the sermon highlights is to base our lives on the specific promises of God. God had promised Joshua that he would give him the city, and God has given us specific promises in the Bible that we can trust. The second principle is to follow God's instructions, even if they seem strange or difficult. The Israelites had to march around the city for six days and then shout on the seventh day, but when they followed God's instructions, the walls of Jericho fell. The third principle is to have faith in God's power to do the impossible. The Israelites faced an impossible situation, but they trusted in God's power to give them victory. The fourth principle is to obey God's timing. Joshua told the people not to shout until he gave them the signal, and they obeyed. The fifth principle is to give God the glory. The Israelites gave God the glory for their victory over Jericho. The sermon encourages us to apply these principles to our own lives when we face difficult situations, trusting in God's promises, following his instructions, having faith in his power, obeying his timing, and giving him the glory.

The speaker discusses three ways to enter into the blessing and favor of God. The first is to base your actions on specific promises from God, as well as the general blessing and favor of God that comes with being a child of God. The second is to exercise faith and increase it by starting with small things and saturating your mind with the word of God. The speaker shares personal experiences and examples to illustrate these points.

The sermon emphasizes the importance of trusting in God's promises and living a life of faith. It encourages saturating one's mind with the word of God, declaring God's promises verbally, and obeying God's instructions. It also emphasizes the power of persistence, prophetic acts, and trusting in God's methodology. The sermon concludes with a prayer for God to unleash His supernatural power and gifts upon the congregation.

Joshua, chapter 6. I invite our sister Marlene to project this reading on Joshua, chapter 6. I call this sermon here The Taking of Jericho: God's Folly or God's Folly. I mean that the folly of God is wiser than all the wisdom of men.

You remember that we have been involved in this passage for two Sundays that comes from the book of Joshua and it is something that we entered without knowing that we were entering a mine of teaching prayer, based only on that thought that God put in my heart about why you have never been here before. a call to an expectation of something great and on time that God has for us very close in time and that is something unusual, new, different, not familiar ground, and that therefore we have to follow God's guidelines, as we said last Sunday.

And we remember that beautiful service that we had in the original sanctuary where God sovereignly put us there to remind us of the original times, to go back to those times of the original sanctuary where God did so many beautiful things before we entered our new sanctuary. That sanctuary has something special there.

And we saw how the Lord sovereignly supposedly under the excuse that the heating was not working when at 8:30 they called us to tell us that the heating here was damaged due to the extraordinary cold that there was, and then we decided, we are going to do it in the sanctuary original. But when we entered there God spoke to us and we clearly saw that God had something very special for us in that place.

And it had already been fixed, at 9:00 in the morning it was already fixed and it was warming up here quite well, but I clearly understood that God had brought us there for a reason, so that we could celebrate a very special prophetic act there that has been of so much blessing for my life, and it was like a confirmation of many things. And I came precisely to preach about following the ark, about following God's instructions. If we want to live the supernatural life we have to let God guide us and believe that God is going to give us instructions in life.

And I was thinking now about this passage from Joshua, chapter 6, further on, where finally the Hebrews, the Israelites, after crossing the Jordan River arrive and enter the promised land and the first great city that they have to conquer before they conquer the promised land. There were several cities, several tribes and armies in different parts of that land that God had given them that had been centuries and centuries ago but God had given the land to the Israelites, but those unbelieving, pagan, inveterate people were not going to simply say oh yes, here are the keys to our lands. They had been there for centuries and centuries and battles were required.

And the first battle they have to deal with is the capture of a city called Jericho, which in fact we are going to visit one of these days and it is a city that has been there for centuries and centuries. In fact, Jericho, I understand, has been inhabited for about 15,000 years by human beings of different extractions, different ethnicities. It is the oldest city in the world in fact. It's still there.

This city, says the Bible, let's see, it is impregnable. Joshua verse 1 says:

“Now Jericho was closed, well closed. – Say with me, closed, well closed. There was no doubt that it was impregnable, a city with very high and dense walls. It is said that probably 2 war chariots could walk parallel to each other and run over that city, from how dense, how thick and high they were. And inside there was a town that was barricaded so that nobody, he says, nobody went in or out.

For these relatively few Jews, not trained in the art of warfare in a persistent manner, having never fought a battle, the idea of penetrating this city was inconceivable, humanly speaking there was no way. He knows that many times God allows us to fall into situations in our lives in which he is, our situation is closed, well closed, and it seems that there is no way out, there is no solution, there is no possibility of victory.

I know that many of you, and I myself, have been through situations like this, in which one knows where the solution will come from. Right now perhaps you are going through a financial crisis situation, a debt that you look at and say, how am I going to pay this debt, the interest is greater than my full salary. It may be the immigration situation that is closed, very closed right now for many and it would seem like there is no solution, like the ear is on 20 thousand other things and how are we going to get out. God has a solution.

The case is many times we find a Jericho in our life, we find ourselves with a situation that is closed, well closed. And I believe that this passage is designed to give us some spiritual lessons on how to get out of situations that are absolutely closed, very closed.

Then God says something to Joshua as if to encourage him, in verse 2, “But the Lord said to Joshua – and here is something interesting, brothers, and I have even preached on it but it was like the first time I realized that more, which is in verse 2, “More Jehovah said to Joshua,” that more of God that is a but, but Jehovah said to Joshua. In other words, men may give a diagnosis, but if God gives another diagnosis, that is the one that counts, that is the one that counts. The doctor can tell you, there is no solution for you, but God can say, yes, but I have something for your life.

A sister shared with me this week about a miracle that God has done in the life of her family, of her daughter-in-law, by faith we say it that way, that she could not give birth and the doctors had told her, look, it is impossible, your womb cannot give life. And this healthy, strong, normal in every other way young woman was totally devastated by that response. They took classes and fertility treatments, nothing. Finally they told him, stop trying because there is no solution for your problem.

And thank the Lord that this mother-in-law, I thank God for mothers-in-law that people talk about so much, but there are mothers-in-law who are extremely good, mine was one of them. And this one, wanting to be a grandmother too, I'm going to put her like this, he told her, that's what the doctors say but God can say otherwise. Today that young woman is about 7 and a half, 8 months pregnant and ready to give birth because suddenly she was able to conceive totally unexpectedly because when God says yes, man cannot say no. And until God says no, don't stay calm, keep knocking on the Lord's door. Those walls can fall under the power of God.

So if God says more of something, stick to that more. “But Jehovah said to Joshua, look, I have given Jericho into your hand and its king with its men of war.” God wanted to instill faith in Joshua so that he would believe in the face of this apparently insoluble situation. And then God gives him instructions, I'm not going to read the whole passage, but the specific instructions that God gives him are interesting, he says:

"You shall therefore surround the city, all the men of war, going around the city once, and you shall do this for six days." Let's say they started on Monday, the first 6 days, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, they were supposed to go around the city. Six days to go around, "with 7 priests, carrying 7 drivers, ram's horn horns in front of the ark, and on the seventh day, in this case let's say it was Sunday if they started on Monday, on the seventh day you will go around 7 times into the city and the priests will blow their horns.”

Six days a tour with the men of war, the armed men in front, in the middle supporting them and supporting their walk, the ark of the Lord with the priests in the middle as signifying the centrality in this case of the ark. Sometimes the ark will go forward but sometimes it has to be in the center. There was a war to fight and this ark was like the nucleus, the center, and there were those priests with their drivers and behind them the people, without weapons, the ordinary people, the civilians, the children, the elderly, the non-war men behind, walking around every day.

While they took that turn, those who played the chofar were blowing and honking the horns and the town kept quiet. God told them, don't say hi, don't say anything, it's not the time. You have to take the instructions, you know? I imagine that there will be people there who would have wanted to shout, oh Jehovah is God, glory to God, Hallelujah! God is with us. There is time, I believe, to declare things and there is time to remain silent. Amen. There is time to simply soak up the power of God.

I would say as Solomon says, there is time to shout and there is time to be silent. And there is time for others to make war and you simply back them up in prayer and strengthen them with your intercession. So, 6 times they had to turn around and at the end of the time it took they returned to their camp. And they were doing that for 6 days, once, and on the seventh day God told them, walk 7 times, go around 7 times and then when the chofar is played on the seventh round, he says, the people will shout and the walls will fall.

Verse 10, “And Joshua commanded the people, saying, 'You shall not shout, nor shall your voice be heard, nor shall the word come out of your mouth, until the day that I tell you. –underline that, until the day I tell you ‘Shout’ and then you will scream.”

Let's go down to see 20 where it says that on the seventh round, on the seventh day, "Then the people shouted and the priests blew their trumpets and it came to pass that when the people had heard the sound of the trumpet they shouted with a great voice."

These were not soft chants, God is here, this was everyone screaming with their roosters sticking out of their throats. This was saying things and shouting, making noise, etc., the shouting, the hymns were not heard, there was a shouting. There are times to have holy cries in services. I would like from time to time, more often, that there would be shouting, not every time, but quite a lot. We can one day talk about those holy cries, write that down for me, a good sermon, a title, holy cries or shouts.

"The people shouted with a loud voice and the wall collapsed." There is something of that war cry, of adoration that we should not turn into an empty ritual, but there are moments to shout and there are also moments to remain silent and follow God's order.

So, I see here, brothers, quickly some spiritual principles that I want to share with you, which I think is the most important thing. I have already shared some of them, but I see here as 5, 6 life principles for when we find ourselves in difficult situations in life, when we find ourselves in situations of war and difficulty.

Number 1, the first principle that I see in this passage is that we have to base our lives on the specific promises of God. Underline specific, of God. When he tells you, look, I have something specific, that immigration situation, that sterility situation, that family situation, that son who is straying, involved in drugs or whatever, and God tells you, 'I'm going to bring him to my kingdom,' when God speaks a specific word to us.

The Bible is also full of specific promises. God had given Joshua a specific promise. Look in Joshua, chapter 6 verse 2, “then God said to Joshua, ‘behold, I have given Jericho into your hand,” and look how specific he was, he said, “and its king with his men of war.” That was a promise for that specific situation that Joshua was facing. And the Lord told him, 'it is yours.' And he could then be sure that this was a reality for his life.

The Bible is full of such promises. I think it was at the 9 o'clock service last Sunday that I told them about holy money that God brought me when we started this building and we were trying to find a bank that would lend us, nobody wanted to lend money because it was at the time when that big, serious crisis of the year 2007, 2008 was beginning. And I was worried about where the money was going to come from.

An estimate of $10 million had been given to us by a company that specializes in construction estimates for the construction of this building. And they handed me that budget with all the things it consisted of and I took a pencil, a pen, there were sheets of about 17 by 11 inches, with hundreds of different inputs, plumbing, iron, steel, carpentry, carpets, everything, and I started with pencil to cut. I remember that for the air conditioning and heating it was only about $350 thousand dollars or more. And I took $350,000 as the unfaithful servant, I crossed that and put $150, $200,000, but I was faithful in this case.

Do you know the story? Read the Bible, that's why you have to read the Bible. I cut electricity, $275 thousand, I put in $150 thousand. When I finished checking what the estimators told me, of that $10 million dollars there were $4.2 million dollars left and I said, for this amount, with the Lord's help we are going to build the building. And I wrote, that I have not found it because I have not had time to look for it, I have all those papers lying around, I wrote below, on the right hand side, prophetic budget, $4.2 million dollars.

A short time later I found myself, it was summer, getting out of my car where we live, in Somerville and when I got out of the car I put my foot down and saw a $1.00 or $2.00 dollar ballot and I picked it up, and of course, what am I going to do? ? I put it in my pocket, no, I was spiritual and said, I'm going to put up with that until God gives me $20 dollars. No, I took it quickly. I walked a little further, a $5.00 and I was like, wow, this is getting good. So I went a little bit further, brethren, $1.00 and I said, well, God is telling me something.

We're talking about an area, I searched for an area like 50 feet by 50 feet. I started looking, because I said, God is telling me something and there has to be more money around here. I didn't know what God was saying to me. The case is when I finished, brothers, I had $43.00, two of $10, two of $5 and 12 or 13 of $1.00. but it was one thing, that I got under the car to look, I went to the other things, I found money lying everywhere, brothers. I did not know that I was going to give this illustration because I have it there, I call that prophetic money, I have never spent it, it is there in a drawer.

God gave me $1.00 for every $100,000 spent I could with the original budget, that was what I understood. Now, it would have been $42 but it was $43, that extra dollar was God gave me, this is a bonus for you. And you know that this is very interesting, but we were not supposed to finish the fourth floor because there was no money, not even with that large budget that they gave us to do the fourth floor. And God allowed us to build that fourth floor and also allowed us the two bridges that are outside, and we bought chairs, rugs, a sound system, a projection system. None of that was contemplated in that budget. The Lord was faithful.

But I understood that God was giving me a specific promise, in that rare moment that I experienced. When you receive such a specific promise, base your actions on that promise. God told Meche, 'nothing will be missing at home.' And Meche told me at the beginning of the project, God spoke to me and told me, nothing will be missing in my house.

Now, there are specific promises in scripture as well, there are so many promises that God… I am your healer, for example, is a very powerful promise to us. The Bible is full of great promises from God and we have to stand on that promise. When you need something in your life, go to the word of the Lord and say, Father, your word says such a thing, I believe it and for that word I receive your blessing.

We don't have time to develop that further, but base your life on the promises and then you have to know what those promises are, study the word, fill yourself with the word so that you can appeal to the Father directly and ask and intercede in light of those promises. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you and your house will be saved. Father, tell the Lord, Dad, you have said that I and my house will be saved, that means my children, my husband, my loved ones, it is a promise that you can use. Specific promises of God.

Second, to break the gap, to enter into the blessing of God, assume the general blessing and favor of God in everything you do and undertake. This is important. There is a difference between a specific promise that God gives you and the general blessing that God promises you in which you will abide as a child of God. and you have to live your life believing that God's favor is with you wherever you go.

That you are favored by God, that as a child of God you have the wind of God behind your ship guiding you towards blessing, prosperity, health, victory, that the fact that you belong to a lineage blessed, justified, healed, you can believe that wherever you go God's favor will go with you. Amen.

What the psalmist says, certainly good and mercy will follow me all the days of my life. Hallelujah! There is one thing that is the specific promise of God for a situation but there is another thing that is the general promise that you dwell in favor, that you are highly favored.

When the angel appears to Gideon, he tells him, Jehovah is with you, strong and brave man. How many believe that the Lord is with you in your life? What did Samuel say to Saul when he blessed and anointed him, "Now when these signs fall on you and come to pass, do whatever comes to your hand because God is with you."

There is something when a person lives in the favor of God, in that condition of being children and living in the general prosperity of God, the shalom of God, that means that when you walk, the blessing of God will be on you, it will be on you. your life.

I believe that, brothers, since I was a child I have believed myself to be favored by God. Before I understood the spiritual principle behind that, I have always believed that I am a yearned-for child, God-given. and I have the favor of God that therefore I can live in delightful places, that the ropes have fallen on me in delightful places, as the word says.

So it is what a child feels when he has been cared for, loved. I was thinking this morning, I was telling our siblings, our 3 grandchildren who live in Nashville with our daughter Abby and Miguel, I see that these children, for the glory of God and always be so, are the object of so much love, all their aunts , their grandparents, their cousins, there is so much love in the family and they are always being told, we love you, you're beautiful. You're smart. They are being given attention, thank the Lord, they live in a home where there is harmony.

You know that a child who grows up in such an environment, I believe, in most cases will grow up as a confident, emotionally healthy person, who has a healthy self-esteem and who dares to undertake things because they have been affirmed, He has told him that he is worth it, that he is loved, that he is preferred. That child will have in his subconscious a protection that allows him to walk through life expecting good things, because that is what he has received all his life.

Well you know what? That is what we should feel. Our Heavenly Father who loves us, who gave his Son for us, who justifies us, who has forgiven us, who has good purposes for us, then live your life with that expectation, because when the expectation, the favor of God is within from you, that even when you sleep, you are thinking about the favor of God, even while you are driving, walking down the street, you dwell in the favor of God. That becomes a magnet that attracts the blessing and becomes an ally that invites you to undertake great things because God's blessing is already upon you and you dare to undertake bold things because God loves you, God is with you, God He has promised you his favor.

Joshua had this God had told him at the beginning of his ministry, “I will be with you wherever you go. Do not fear or dismay, I have given you all the land that the soles of your feet tread on.

Then Joshua knew that his ministry and his life were resting in the favor of God and then he could undertake. Note that there were two promises in Joshua's life, one is a general promise, all the land that the soles of your feet tread on. And a specific promise, I have given you the city of Jericho with its king and all its men of war.

So, we have to learn to move both in the specific promise and in the generic and general promise of blessing. If you understood what I am saying, you would be screaming while standing on those seats, doing somersaults on the seat, which is a promise from God, a great blessing that God has for us. Amen.

I have said two things, a specific promise that God gives us in his word and in our life, the general blessing and favor of God in which we dwell.

Number 3, exercise yourself in faith, increase your faith. Faith, says the word, which is certainty, the conviction of what is not seen and the certainty of what is expected. Faith is something mysterious and difficult to define but it is possible to grow in faith. But faith, says the Bible, that without faith it is impossible to please God. Faith is the conduit through which divine energy flows. Faith is the landing strip where divine promises land and become reality.

We have to ask the Lord to help us grow in faith because faith is what makes possible the realization of the things that God has declared. If you get close to God, says the Bible, you have to believe that he exists and that he rewards those who trust in him. And faith is not an emotional sensation, faith is something different, it is an essence that rather resides in the dimension of the spirit than in the emotions. And I'm going to tell you something about that.

But then you have to grow in faith. The question, I want to be practical, how can we grow in faith? Quickly jot 2 or 3 little things there. 1. Start with small things, where is your faith and what does it give for and from there start stretching towards bigger things. Build from there. I remember years ago when they gave us a new building as a gift, it was not new but it was a gift and it was beautiful in Cambridge. We rented space in the South End and after 6 months of being there God gave us a completely free building from a church that had given up the spirit and there were only a handful of old people left, they had left and the building had been left for us.

And when the pastor who founded our church, Juan Vergara, told us, we were a small group of about 20 people, 30 people at the most, when Juan Vergara told us, and I was a leader, I had started the church for a few months and I was in the privacy of the pastor, and he told me that 'they have given us a building,' and we went to see it and I saw that it was a large building. You know, I was about 25, 27 years old at that time, and you know, to my shame when I saw that building, do you know what I told you? Pastor, we cannot take over this building, how are we going to pay for the heating? Listen to me, I remember that and I'm ashamed because my faith was only enough for something much smaller than that. Thank God that this was a man of faith and he put his hand in and we took the building and of course, nothing was ever lacking.

I remember at the beginning of our journey to come here to Boston, that for me to first ask for the $100,000 that I thought that building would cost, to fix it, I sweated and lost about 20 pounds before I came before the congregation to ask them for $100,000 that later It ended up being many hundreds of thousands of dollars more. My faith did not give. Today I ask for millions and you poor people are there suffering, yet another offering. I know that many are praying to the Lord that there will be no more offerings for many years to come.

I could believe the Lord a few years ago for a complete building, large like this. Because my faith had increased. So start small and start asking the Lord for things that are realistic and that you can… your faith gives, and little by little as you see God's blessing, God will give you faith for bigger things, start small.

2. Saturate your mind with the word of God. When you learn these principles, for example, if you read the book of Chapter 6 of Joshua, study it, put it in your mind, take time to squeeze it, crush it like those little chicken bones that one takes and crushes until there is nothing left. , dust only, the marrow, remove the meat, the sinews, everything, eat it all, the skin. Let that word get inside you and let the paradigms of the word of God, the structures of faith, format your mind so that you think as the word of God thinks.

Do you understand what I'm saying? Read the word because the word is going to get inside you, the living word of God is going to come to life inside you and it is going to think and it is going to move through you, but you have to study the word, you have to To read it, you have to put it through your eyes and your mouth, through your teeth, everywhere. Saturate your mind with the word of God.

3. Declare God's promises verbally in your life. Speak positive, speak faith, believe that God is powerful to change your situation. Don't just stay flattened, that this is too big, that this is a problem, that I don't have money, that I'm sick. No. Say the word, God's promise for your life.

One of the things that I like about the psalmist David is that many times he says, for example, my enemies have surrounded me, they are chasing me, like a dog they have jumped on me to devour my meat. But it does not stop there, he says, but I have trusted in Jehovah. My God is powerful, God is going to take me forward. God is with me as a powerful giant, God is the one who strengthens my hand to bend the bronze bow. David recognized his reality but then he said, but God is powerful to break that reality and take me to another level.

Get used to speaking positively. Get used to declaring God's good purposes and throwing a stone at that situation in your life saying that God is powerful and believing. Speak, declare the truth of God in your life.

Finally, do not base your life on feelings, but on the promises of God. even if your mind tells you, this is not going to work, this is too big, it is too difficult, move by faith. I tell you, brothers, many times I undertake some things continuously, I don't have time to illustrate this, but there are so many things that I undertake in my life and many times when I declare them and get into a project and say, let's do this , we're going to do the other thing, either here with the [inaudible] from New England, who I work with, and then I'm like, wow! what have I gotten myself into? I always screw up, opening my mouth, saying this, saying that. I get scared, I think it's something diabolic, sometimes I get a sense of discouragement and negativity, but thank the Lord that I've learned that I don't get carried away by my feelings.

I operate in faith, I move by faith. If God said it, I'm going to do it, and God will deal with my neurology. That's a problem with my emotions. And I see that God always opens the sea before me, he never leaves me ashamed. Half the time I'm fighting my negative feelings and just walking away.

The image of a pilot in a jet traveling at 32,000 feet on a completely dark night, with clouds below, he has no way of visually orienting himself, he can't say, oh, look there's the Empire State Building, I know what I'm close to New York. There is nothing for him to see. Dark night, in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, water everywhere, what does the pilot take with him? The instruments that tell you, you're going north and you're in such a configuration, and you're here, and you're at this altitude. He is only directed by his instruments, he cannot be guided by his eyes. He cannot be guided by his ears, he cannot be guided by smells. Ah, look there is a pupuseria, I know we are close to El Salvador. No, nothing. Simply… are there pupuserías? Is that word used? OK.

Just for the instruments. right yes? And sometimes one has to navigate by the word of God, just what God said. Man will not live by bread alone but by every word that comes from the mouth of God. Hallelujah!

And my brothers who see me are excited, they are nervous pointing at me, pastor, look at the time. They have learned very well from me. They don't learn the good things but they do learn the bad. I'm not playing. Do not base your life on feelings but on what God has declared. Obediences. Follow God's instructions.

Josué received very clear instructions. 6 days, 6 times, once every day. People don't yell, don't talk. On the seventh day 7 times, when they hear the drivers yell then and the walls fall down. Obedience, obediences, obedience. Many of us believe that we know more than God and we want to improve a little on the formulas that God gives us. The Bible says not to be wise in your own understanding. Let us be humble, let us be guided by the word, the divine instructions. Obedience. Obedience. Follow the principles of the word of God. You cannot be blessed if you are in disobedience, you are in rebellion against God.

Another beginning, persistence and repetition until we see God's blessing. what did the people have to do? 6 times and then 7 times on the seventh day. Persistence. God wanted to capture in the minds of his people principles and paradigms of life. Many times God's miracles require time and if you backed down, as the Mexicans say, the first prayer and since you didn't see an answer you gave up, you lost the blessing. Many times you have to persist, you have to do 7 laps, you have to do 13 laps. There are prayers that I have before God for 30 years and I still have not seen them answered. But every day as I brush my teeth, I bring him and remind him, Lord, you have said this. You have said the other. There are situations that will take time for you to enter into the blessing that God has for your life. You have to insist before God and remember him over and over again.

Find it in your time. Human due diligence, do your part, don't expect God to do it all. There were armed men of war, ready to go into battle when God did his part. What are you doing so that the blessing of God that has been declared in your life becomes a reality?

The power of prophetic symbolism. There is something when we do prophetic things that break ties in our lives, what we did on Sunday to go there and stay there, I saw it as a prophetic act. We could have come earlier, in fact we could not record the service that is sent to many places, people who wanted to see the service, who were prepared, could not see it but I felt clearly, God told me, this is a prophetic act.

At the 9 o'clock service, a lady wanted to sing. I generally don't allow people to come up with improvisations, if I don't really know them. I died about 10 deaths at that time for many reasons, but I believe that something happened in the world of the spirit, we broke down barriers and there was a great blessing with me allowing that simple-hearted sister to bless us with that hesitant song and we humbled ourselves. Something inside of me died like 17 times. Pride, control, wanting things to go well, excellence, all these things, sometimes I am a man of order but I also believe in holy chaos many times. Sometimes you have to humble the intellect. Many of us don't do things that God wants us to do because… now you know how I feel, Sam, many times.

Brothers, many times you have to humble your intellect. There are things that God wants you to do and you don't do them because what will your wife, your children say, if they see you singing, you have never sung. Sing in the name of the Lord, even if it's out of tune. Raise your hand. Prophetic acts must be done to break the ties.

Finally, the methodology and the folly of God is wiser than the wisdom of men. What a crazy methodology of shouting 7 times at the end and every day playing with the drivers, etc. crazy. But God used that to convey the sensitivity of God's people that it is God's methods, not man's methods, that make the difference.

They did not have by their own resources, they did not have what they needed, but God told them, this is the way I want you to win the victory. It may sound crazy, Josué, but this is my medicine. and thank God that Joshua obeyed God and they did it the way God wanted and the walls fell down.

There you have some principles for your life. God's word is faithful, if we are faithful God is faithful. If you are going through a struggle situation in your life, believe right now that the Lord is powerful.

Let's stand up and trust in the Lord. I don't want to rush this, I'm very sorry. I already finished my part here, but take 30 seconds because I don't want to… this is a sacred moment where you have to believe God right now. If what I have said makes sense in any spiritual way for your life, if there is something in one of those principles, obedience, prophetic acts, persistence, whatever, these principles that I have mentioned, if God has spoken to you, take one of them and put it in your heart. Faith, ask God to increase your faith, to give you exercises that will lead you on a path of growing faith. And you think this is a prescription.

I am giving you right now a promise from God with each of these principles. And God wants a victorious people, God wants a brave people, God wants a people that has a supernatural mentality, and God wants a people that uses the armor of the spirit to triumph on bad days, to pull victory out of the enemy's teeth.

And God is calling us to be a supernatural people and to live on that ground. Something may seem crazy, crazy, but it is God's formula for your miracle. Believe it and receive it in the name of the Lord.

Father, right now we appropriate your promises, we appropriate the principles of your kingdom. Help us, hurried as this sermon has been, tight as it has been, to believe in your methodology and make us a supernatural people, a people of faith, a people who see their victories in this age in which you are entering us. We unleash the supernatural movement of your spirit. We unleash the power of God upon this congregation. We unleash the manifestation of your gifts and your supernatural power over this town, Father. We believe that you are releasing an essence of supernaturality on this town and we receive new components, new nutrients for our life as a congregation. And we thank you in advance, Father, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
