Dr. Roberto Miranda
Summary: The pastor emphasizes the importance of parents being present and active in their children's lives, especially in mentoring and teaching them. He notes the increasing prevalence of homosexuality among young people and stresses the need for children to have healthy, balanced homes with both a father and a mother.
The pastor then transitions to discussing the importance of being filled with the Holy Spirit and receiving the anointing of the Holy Spirit. He explains that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is a subsequent and secondary experience to receiving Christ as Lord and Savior, and that it is essential to live a life filled with the Holy Spirit.
He identifies five steps to be filled with the Holy Spirit but notes that there will be more discussions on the topic in future sermons. The pastor emphasizes the difference between living in a limited dimension of the manifestation of the Power of God and a more powerful and deeper dimension. He encourages listeners to learn how to enter that dimension and receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
The difference between living in a limited dimension of the manifestation of the Power of God and a more powerful and deeper dimension is explained. The goal is to enter that deeper dimension by finding one's own food and not depending on others. Moses is used as an example of a highly anointed man who was still thirsty for a greater dimension of intimacy with God. He spoke to God with intimacy and boldness, and the message is to confidently approach the Throne of Grace and ask God for great things.
The sermon talks about Moses' boldness and intimacy with God, and how believers should approach God with confidence and ask for great things. The importance of recognizing our own limitations and asking God for additional anointing and provision is emphasized. The need for the presence and anointing of God in our lives to refresh us and give us rest is stressed. Moses' bargaining with God and his request to see God's glory is discussed, with God promising to make all his good things pass before Moses. The message encourages believers to seek intimacy with God and treasure the presence and anointing of the Holy Spirit in their lives.
The speaker talks about how God showed Moses all his good things and proclaimed His name before him, saturating him with His presence and personality. The speaker encourages the audience to not be satisfied with just one level of experience with God, but to seek a deeper level of intimacy and anointing. He commissions the audience to ask for bold and daring things from God, to be consecrated and dangerous for the Kingdom of God. The speaker prays for the audience to be sealed with the presence of God and to have the Name of Jesus written in the cornerstone of their being.
Parents: We have a great privilege to inspire our children, to invest in them, to teach them, to mentor them. Like never before, listen carefully to this, our sons and daughters need parents who are present, active parents, parents who take their work seriously, enough of that time, I'm going to say too strong a word, but for parents to let mothers the job of educating their children.
You don't just bring the bacon home, you know? you also bring advice and example, and strength for your son or daughter, amen? Our daughters need that father's warmth too, our sons more than ever when masculinity is more threatened than ever before.
Let me tell you something and forgive me for getting into another one, but the other day Meche and I were walking around Summerville one afternoon, we took a path that is a pathway where many people walk in the afternoon, during the day, a beautiful place near our house, and we walked a lot, and I can tell you that on that road for about an hour and a bit, I would say that if we did not see at least 7, 8 young homosexual couples, all women and men, it was little, 7 or 8, cute, handsome young men, they were men holding hands, women, it was something truly scandalous, and you know brothers? as I say with this Word I do not want to indicate any contempt, these things must always be clarified in case someone who is here, in my heart there is no sense of superiority or contempt, or judgment, or rejection, if a person is involved with some internal struggle in that area, we simply bless you and in no way judge you, it's good that you are here, continue seeking the Lord.
Now, having said that, it is clear that this lifestyle we know is not according to the Word of God and we want to help you, if you are struggling with it, to stay firm in the Lord. That is to say that the comment I am making does not refer to contempt, understand me correctly, but what touched me is that so many young people, this is becoming a very serious epidemic and that is what we have feared for years, and more that we never need our children to be covered with the coverage of a father and a mother, healthy marriages, that our children can grow up with a clear idea of what it is to be a man and a woman, and what is the benefit, and the blessing of a balanced home where man has his place, woman has her place, masculine and feminine energy work together to produce something beautiful, but our children need to be mentored, mentored, mentored, right? the discipleship, the warmth, the insistence of a father and a mother who are committed to their children.
Being a parent today requires a lot of time, a lot of investment, a lot of sacrifice. God has also placed something more precious than any jewel in this world, dad and mom, it is your son, your daughter, and anything you can do to make sure that you perform your task as a father or mother well, no matter what you have you have to pay, go out of your way, stay up late, but do your job well done because in one day they will remember those wells that Sara was talking about, maybe one day life will cover them up but they will remember them again and they will come back to those wells, but you have to sow that seed in the hearts of your children.
So parents, let's appreciate the incredible privilege we have to mentor our children and put no price or limit on what it takes; if you have to get up at 4 in the morning to pray, if you have to leave in a snowfall to take your son to a Bible study or to Church, or to I Wanna, or take him to a museum to get educated or whatever, pay the price in the Name of God and sow that seed, amen? there are two sermons now so they don't complain (laughs), one and two, and there's another one, forget here that this is a supermarket (laughs).
We are going to continue with the Word of the Lord and I want to invite you to continue with this meditation on living lives filled with the Holy Spirit, to be effective fathers we need the anointing and filling of the Holy Spirit, and to tackle any aspect of life.
You have heard me talk about my personal, pastoral experience, our Church, its journey, how the Lord has led us through a pilgrimage of having more of the Holy Spirit, we have talked about what it takes to be filled with the Holy Spirit, We have talked about how throughout Scripture we see this pattern of great men and women of God being invested with the power of the Holy Spirit to carry out their tasks, be they kings, prophets, priests, many things of which we have We have spoken, we have spoken about taking authority and cultivating the gift of God that is in us, that it does not depend only on God but that there is a part that we have to do as well.
My goal this afternoon is to complete, I hope, a presentation on five steps that must be taken to be filled with the Holy Spirit and receive the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Throughout the next few Sundays as much as possible I am going to be talking more about this filling and my idea is to cover that wonderful territory of the Holy Spirit and His move in our lives in different ways, we are going to go through different scriptures, we're going to comb, in a sense, all the territory until we make sure that it's been well covered, although it's a topic that is extremely deep, and there will be many more moments of these anointing, imparting of the Holy Spirit, I know that this is going to revolutionize our lives.
One of the things that we have to clearly understand brothers, and especially for those who are new to the faith and others who may not have understood this yet, is that we cannot be content with a limited measure of the anointing and the Power, and the move of God in our lives, we always have to be anxious and eager, and that impartation of the baptism of the Holy Spirit, the Pentecostal churches and the great men of God throughout the centuries have identified that moment in which a person receives the fullness of the Holy Spirit as a different moment and after the moment in which Jesus Christ is received as Lord and savior, are two different experiences.
What separates the Pentecostal world with all its variants and the traditional evangelical world is this idea that the baptism and the filling of the Holy Spirit is not something that comes automatically as receiving Christ as Lord and savior, but that the baptism of the Spirit Holy is a subsequent and secondary experience to the reception of Christ as Lord and savior, and that although a person is saved when he receives Christ as Lord and savior, and although he already has the Holy Spirit because he says that He enters our life, and be with us, and we with Him, but the baptism of the Holy Spirit is the difference, let's say, between a placid and calm lake, with its surface so clean and crystalline, and when a wind comes over that lake and blows it, and moves it, and you lift it up onto that surface, that water begins to jump up. What did the Lord Jesus Christ say? He said that those who believe in Me, rivers of living water will flow from their interior, and the Bible says that He said that about the Holy Spirit that was going to be in us.
Do you know that the Bible describes Jesus Christ as the one who baptizes with fire? that is the specialty of Jesus and He initiated His Disciples into that experience of baptism in the fire of the Holy Spirit when He told them: do not leave Jerusalem until you have received the impartation of the Holy Spirit.
There is an illustration of this in Scripture, in the healing of a paralytic. The Bible says that there was a place, Bethesda I think it is, it says that from time to time, unpredictably, an unseen angel came to that pool but who stirred up the waters of that well, of that pool, and when those waters began to move in a supernatural and unexpected way, people knew that at that moment the Power of God was moving in those waters and the first one to jump was healed.
Now don't ask me why the Power of God did this like a lottery, that the first one to throw that one was the one that goes, and no one else, because, by the way, that is the difference between the Old and the New Testaments. In the Old Testament the impartation of the Holy Spirit was very limited and limited only to the distinguished athletes of the Kingdom, the Prophets, the kings and the priests, but what happens when Christ comes? that now we are all kings, we are all priests, amen? The Spirit is no longer by measure, says the Bible, it is universally accessible, that is the difference between the time of the Old Testament and the New Testament.
In the Old Testament the Holy Spirit was very limited in His transmission but when Christ comes it democratizes, uh, that word is beautiful, democratizes, I had never used it but I have to remember it, it democratizes the distribution of the Holy Spirit, now everyone has access to the Holy Spirit. Spirit, and that's what happened in this pool.
Come? in the Old Testament in the time of the Prophets and all of this only one or the other was healed when the water began to move, and here two things came out to me, but look at this. That well, as it was calm, daily, in its daily expression was without moving, now, when the Power of God came, the waters began to dance and move, and the people knew: the Spirit is here.
That is the difference between a Christian who has the Holy Spirit in a general universal way, we all have it and we are like the well in Bethesda, there is water, it is clear, there is no problem, but from time to time we need the Holy Spirit to start to blow and those waters begin to move, and that's what I believe is the baptism of the Holy Ghost.
It is drinking water that is already there, it does not add anything but speeds it up, agitates it, energizes it, and that is what we need, that the Holy Spirit that is in us becomes a river of living water, of running water, and that is the difference between a Christian who has the water in the form of a Bethesda well and a Christian in whom the angel of God has come and stirred those waters. And we need God, even once in our lives but He wants to do it more times, to move the waters in a baptism of the Holy Spirit, and that is what we want to invite you to, to live in the movement of those waters.
Now the other thing that he did not want to be lost, that idea that it was, in that story of the well it says that the Lord Jesus Christ passed through that lake and there was a paralyzed man there. Do you remember the story? and the Lord says to him: what's up man, how are you? Yes, here I am Lord, I am paralyzed, I cannot move and I have been here for many years waiting for this angel to pass by and for the water to move, but I have no one to grab me and throw me into the water, so when I already mobilize others have taken the lead, and the Lord says to him: do you want to be healed? and heals him at that moment, by grace.
He didn't have to make any effort, he didn't have to agonize, he didn't have to jump before others, the Lord simply healed him, I think that's where the difference between the Old and New Testaments lies. In the Old Testament the distribution of the Holy Spirit was something privileged but now all you have to do is ask the Lord, the Lord comes and says: Hey, I want to baptize you, you don't have to agonize, just receive and let My Spirit I filled you up, and that man was totally healed at that moment.
So that is the difference between living in a limited dimension of the manifestation of the Power of God and a more powerful and deeper dimension, and what we are asking of the Lord in your lives is that you learn how to enter that dimension. And while I am saying these things I already realize that it will be difficult for me to complete the task that I have here of these five steps, but it is okay because everything is good and it is good material, if the Lord gives it you have to receive it.
Another image about that because if I manage to simply put in you what is the difference between living in the fullness of the Holy Spirit and living a purely general life, why? because many of us are honest, many of those who are sitting here right now, without any judgment, need a powerful encounter with God. I see them coming Sunday after Sunday but the Lord still needs to come into your life and put two lines below it, underline it, do you understand what I'm saying? and that you come to the surface, and that you enter into that level of power and agency and authority, that you cannot be ignored because you are magnetic, and you are radioactive, and you are dangerous because you are filled with the Power of God in your life, amen? and that is what God wants for you, amen? oh hallelujah.
I know that there are many people here who, like the well of Bethesda, need the angel to come and stir the waters, and when you experience that you will stop putting limits on the Lord, God is not going to give you with a spoon, he will to find a ladle and he will tell you: Open your mouth, and you are going to have to do that so that all the anointing that God wants to give to your life will fit, this is not going to be water or milk, is it? tasteless, is the anointing, the fullness of God in your life.
And that is what we have to look for more and more, that differentiation, what makes the difference in the life of a man, a woman of God and takes us out of the Sunday queues and from the specialty of heating bench, to being hot and melting the pew when we sit on it is the filling and anointing of the Power of the Holy Spirit. Brothers, what I want is to turn and turn that nut until you understand what I am talking about.
There is another image that the Lord provided me this morning, it is found in Exodus chapter 3 so that now, we will get to that moment, I now want to simply follow what God is doing right now in the way he is speaking, amen? If we speak of the Spirit we believe or do not believe, it is prophesying, preaching in the Spirit is prophesying, that is, the things that God wants us to say without any measure, one has a purpose and then God does the rest.
Exodus 33, let's go for a moment so that you see another way of seeing this difference, because if I manage to dramatize that difference in your heart and you leave here saying: wow, Pastor Miranda is right, I have to, I can't settle Just by receiving Christ and being a generic Christian, I have to fight for my own salvation, not in the sense that you get saved.
The Bible says: "Work out your salvation with fear and trembling" does it say so or not, or am I saying it because I became a heretic right now? It says that we work out our salvation with fear and trembling, that we work out our salvation with fear and trembling. Many Christians have allowed ourselves to be numbed by this idea that: oh, I'm already saved and what I need now, I've already punched the ticket, I'm going on the next plane to take me to heaven; there is a lot to work, here still, a lot to do and God needs you, God needs you as a passionate Christian, activated and burning in the Holy Spirit, and unless you understand that part that you have to find your own food every day . Do not depend on the food that the Pastor or so-and-so gives you, the anointed person or such, you have to look for your own food. There comes a time when you have to stop being given food to you and look for your own food, and when you come to Church then it is to share the blessing that God has given you during the week, the idea.
Moses, Moses was an anointed man, called, gifted by the Lord and here we see him in Exodus 33 beginning with verse 7. In verse 7 we see Moses in his ministerial tasks and we see that there is a very great manifestation of the Power of God in his life, it says that: "And Moses took the tabernacle, and set it up far away, outside the camp, and called it the tabernacle of meeting" is in the desert, the tabernacle is the meeting place of the people, it is like this temple, the people would come and gather around that tabernacle of meeting, the tabernacle was like a gigantic tent and there were the articles, and the instruments of worship of the Hebrew people in the desert, it says: "And anyone who he sought Jehovah, he went out to the tabernacle of meeting that was outside the camp” like us.
Why are you here? because they are seeking the Lord right? and Moses was the Shepherd of all those people who were in the desert. "And it happened that when Moses went out to the tabernacle all the people stood up, and each one stood at the door of his tent, and they looked after Moses until he entered the tabernacle" and here something occurs to me about I did not share this morning with the brothers of the ministry in English, and that is that the model of the Old Testament, I am discovering it while I am developing it right now, the difference between the Old Testament and the new experience in the Holy Spirit in the New Testament .
Who is the leading actor? Moses, and the people are a witness to the anointing of Moses and what Moses is doing, but Moses is the agent and the people are like the object, and the people see what God is doing in life and through life. life of Moses, that is the model and I say this with all due respect, of the Catholic Church and of the Catholic mass, where the priest is in the front, or in the middle where the host is and all these things, and the priest is the one who is officiating the mass, right? and before, when it was in Latin, it was even worse because people didn't even know what they were saying, and that's good because that's how you preach and people don't know what you're saying and they don't have to prepare, it can be nonsense and people don't know what you are saying (laughs), before the mass was in Latin like that, but now even with the mass translated into the vernacular the priest is the tutumpote of the mass, the priest is there doing his things and the people are watching, and they are officiating, and the people are witnesses, that is the model.
In fact, the Catholic Church has followed the model of the Old Testament a lot, that is why all the vestments, the incense and all the liturgy belong more to the Old Testament, in the New Testament God democratizes, democratizes that and now everyone participates.
But here we see Moses, the anointing of God is upon him and he is officiating, and the people approach and he leads, and leads and channels the anointing of God, "and they watched after Moses until he entered the tabernacle . When Moses entered the tabernacle, the pillar would come down and stand at the door of the tabernacle, and Jehovah would speak with Moses.” Again, that model that God is telling us, that served for the times of Moses but now we are in the times of Jesus Christ, it is not only when the priest arrives, the man of God that the cloud descends.
Brothers: we, the Pastors of the Congregation, God uses us for certain things, but you know what? we are only instruments in the Hands of the Lord, we are midwives, do not look at us with any kind of great reverence or anything like that, we are artisans of the things of God, we are workers, workers, God uses us for certain things but you, you have the same anointing, the potential of each one of us. Stop looking for the Pastor to anoint you, pray to you, put a wrench in it and throw it to the ground, you have God's anointing on your life, the New Testament model is that we are all kings and priests, we all have the anointing of God, I am not the only one, nor are the Pastors of the Church, all of them, you have the Power of God, I advise you to fan the fire of the gift of God that is in you.
The times when only one man headed, embodied and channeled the Power of God and the rest of the people were there as astonished at that manifestation, now in Christ Jesus we are all kings and priests, and the anointing of God is manifested in each one of us.
"And when all the people saw the column of clouds that was at the door of the tabernacle, each one stood up at the door of his tent and worshipped." And look here what it says about the life of Moses because I haven't gone into the matter yet, “And God spoke to Moses face to face, as anyone speaks to his companion. And he went back to the camp; but young Joshua, the son of Nun, his servant, never left the midst of the tabernacle.”
What I want you to look at is this: Moses was quite an anointed man. When he says that God spoke with him face to face, it was not that he saw him face to face because we are going to see something interesting later, but rather that he spoke with him in a very intimate, very deep and direct way. Moses was a highly anointed man and carried out his work daily with a great level of intimacy with God.
And for many people I could have said: you know what? I have enough with this, I don't want more and I don't need to go to any other level of spiritual depth, but what interests me is that you see that, despite having that level of intimacy and being directly linked with the Presence of God Moses knew that there was still another dimension. Do you see where I am going? that is what I want us to look at for a moment, and that we have to live thirsty and hungry for a greater dimension of intimacy with God in our lives, we cannot settle for yesterday's anointing. As that chorus says: yesterday is over, I need you today, Holy Spirit blow on me.
Yesterday's anointing like manna, as I was saying, I don't know if it was here or in the other service, yesterday's manna is of no use to you today. When you get up in the morning, God will tell you: More na', now you have to look for fresh manna. Oh Lord, where is the fresh manna that I ate? There is no more na', now you have to look for it there, go to the desert and look for your manna, that's why the word comes from there, more na', that is, you ate it one day and there is no more na', that is the Biblical concordance Roberto Miranda (laughs), you have to look for manna every day and the anointing that served you yesterday is not good for today, today you have to seek fresh anointing from God.
Moses was not satisfied with the anointing that he had but he wanted something more, and look what he says to the Lord, verse 12: "And Moses said to the Lord: look" wow, how many dare to say to the Lord: " look"? Moses talked to God like anyone talks to a dad, how are you doing with your dad? you don't tell him: Oh Father, thank you because you brought me to life and used mom, and a special meeting that you and she had, and now I come to ask you to open the fridge and give me a sweet that is there (laughs), you say: dad, I'm hungry, I need something.
Moses tells him: "Look, you say to me: Get this people out, and you have not told me whom you will send with me." I wish that we had that level of intimacy with God, that we could speak to the Lord, cry before Him, that we runny nose when we come and that we let go, and our burdens, our failures, our fears, we display them before God Talking to God like we talk to our dad, our daddy, that's what the word "Abba" means, Abba means Daddy, and that's another difference between the Old and New Testaments. Before in the Old Testament God was that terrible fire that thundered on the mountain and people said: no, don't come near us because we died, now God is Abba, Father, Dad.
And then Moses speaks with that intimacy, that boldness. The Bible says that we confidently approach the Throne of Grace, do not be afraid of God, speak to God with ease, ask Him, dare to ask the Lord for great things. Do you know why we don't receive you more? because we do not ask the Lord, because we do not conceive terrifying visions. How many have dared one day to ask the Lord for something that after they asked for it they were terrified and said: what was it that I asked for? Ask God for things that scare you and then say: Lord, I think I went too far, right? wait, don't give me that.
I asked the Lord like this 30-odd years ago: Lord, my life is Yours when I was at university, I remember well, God had transformed me, I was in a time of falling in love with God after being almost born in the faith, having away for a while and God had brought me his way, and in my second year or so in graduate school I said, Lord You have given me many things, do what you want of my life, I place it before You, take control, and look where he has me (laughs), if I had known I don't know if I would have asked but glory to God. If you ask God, be careful because we have a generous God and sometimes when we ask for things He grants us great things, dare to ask Him. That is why he says: let us approach confidently, ask the Lord for daring and daring things.
Moses asks something daring, Moses the thing is that he is not happy with the anointing that he has up to now and with the anointing of God that he has up to now, and with the experiences of God that he has up to now, he knows that there is something else, then he says: You have told me to get this town out and yet you have not told me whom you will send with me, "and yet you say: I have known you by name, and you have found grace in my eyes."
In other words, Moses is telling him: Lord, You have promised me a number of things, you have told me this, you have told me that, you have told me that I am going out, but I still do not know what you are going to give me, how am I going to to do this, we have to enter a land of Canaanites and strong people, and I don't know how we're going to do that, I don't have the anointing I need and you haven't told me, you haven't given me instructions on how to do it. these things.
And likewise I believe that we have to come before God many times and tell him: Father, you have entrusted me to lead a people in the ministry, you have given me four children and I do not know how to educate them in the fear of God, you have given me given a marriage and frankly I don't know how to be a good husband and a good father, you have made me teach boys in a school who are rebellious and their minds are dirty from the internet and all the things, crap they see and a system that does not allow me to give you the instruction you need, you work in a company or driving a taxi and you do not know how to do something, whatever, you have to come before God and say: Lord, you have given me a task in my hands, You have asked me to do things, You have placed a ministry in my hands, concerns and dreams but you have not yet told me what You are going to give me so that I can carry this out.
Because sooner or later brothers in our lives there has to come a time when we recognize that we do not have what it takes to carry out the tasks that God has entrusted to us and that we have to do in life.
I believe that until you reach a moment of despair in your Christian life and recognize that you do not have what it takes, God cannot truly use you in your life. Until you disqualify yourself and yourself and you recognize that you do not have enough, God will not use you.
I tell them: I am clear that I am clear, that I am clear, that at this stage of my life I do not have what it takes to take this people to where God wants to take them, do not be scandalized or frightened by what is coming to you. I am saying because I believe that this is the best place for a Pastor to be, at the moment of recognizing that he does not have what it takes, and I can tell you that neurologically, temperamentally, intellectually I do not have what it takes for the dreams that God has given me, and I am glad to be in that place, and I am glad that God is tightening that screw more and more, and that this awareness of my ineptitude and my disqualification is becoming unbearable, because that is where then we come before God and say: Lord, give me what I need, give me an additional anointing, give me provision for the journey.
And many of us believe, the problem is that we believe that we have enough. We come to Church on Sunday, we throw a slip of some size in there on the offering plate, we sing three or four little soft choruses there while we think about the movie we're going to put on Netflix tonight or whatever and we think that That is all, we do a mediocre job there as fathers, mothers, workers, servants of the Lord and we are very happy with that, but only when we realize the great task that God has for us and how much is required, And from the little that we have, we can truly receive an endowment of the Power of God in our lives.
I believe that the believer has to live with a deep and persecuting sense of deficit in his life, and until we learn to live with that sense of deficit, and at the same time that we are also under grace because it is a mixture, we do not It is that you live toiling and dying, and with paranoia, no, you live with hunger but you also know that God is going to fill you.
Then Moses comes and says: Lord, you have not told me whom you are going to send with me and You say that you have known me by name, and that I have found grace in Your eyes, and look here at the bold request that Moses makes to the Lord He says: “Now then, if I have found favor in Your sight, please show me Your way now so that I may know You and find favor in Your sight.”
I don't know if that verse is underlined in your Bible but it is in mine, I don't know when I put it there but I believe that this is an emblematic verse of every genuine and authentic believer, underline it and make it part of your life, show me now your way so that I know you and find grace in your eyes.
And then he says: “And look, these people are your people.” He is overwhelmed by a sense of responsibility. Do you know what it is to lead a people of a million men and women not including women and children and to be leading them through an inhospitable desert with snakes and scorpions and scorpions and a burning sun during the day without houses or wells of water, nor machinery, nor devices that allow feeding a town of that size and having to maintain it, and knowing that one day you are going to have to enter the land that God told you, which is full of giants there or people armed to the point of death. teeth and powerful, and right-handed in war that they will resist you until death, and God has told you that this is the land that I have for you, and you have to direct them every day, and give them advice, and teach them, and example?
And that is why he tells him: and here are these people, they are your people. What is the answer that God gives you? "My Presence will go with you" wow, how beautiful, "My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest" wow God is speaking to me right now as I read that passage, My Presence will go with you and I will give you rest. How many need rest right now? many of us are overwhelmed with the next bill that we are going to have to pay for water or electricity, yes or no? say it, confess it Many of us lack work, we have children who need a lot from the Lord right now, we have marriages that are limping at times, we are struggling with giants in our minds, addictions, burdens of all kinds, yes or no? we are loaded, worked and tired many times, we live in a culture that from the beginning of the day is in charge of slowly wearing us down and exhausting us, and that is why we need two things: the presence and movement of God in our lives, the anointing of God rots the yoke in good Pentecostal language, rots the yoke, we need the move of God in our lives and rest.
How can we minister in the dimensions that God has for us? Whether it's running an agency, whether it's heading a home, a classroom or whatever, how can we do it without wearing ourselves out, without burning out, without spending sleepless nights full of anxiety? with the Presence and the anointing of God refreshing us each day, the Holy Spirit that dwells in us and that moves within us.
We Christians have to be like the camels that carry the water inside the tutuma, uf! how cute that was (laughs). The word tutuma is not very beautiful but you know what? that the camel has a virtue and that is that it hoards, stores the water, stores the water in those tutumas and it cannot be turned off, the tutuma is a good word, that is why they have water in reserve and that is why they can walk on the desert hours and hours, and hours in the desert because they have a portable container of water there continuously, and I believe that we should be like that with the Holy Spirit.
The Spirit of God has to dwell within us so that we can walk in the desert and have a reserve of water that always reserves and feeds us, and that is why we have to treasure the Presence and the anointing of God. That's why I don't see any other way to live powerful and perpetually fresh lives in the Spirit if not by renewing those wells that perhaps the Word that Sarah brought this morning is prophetic, because many of us don't have wells to drink water from, the water of the Spirit.
That is why the Bible compares the Spirit to fresh water, and I want to encourage all brothers to make a pact to death with the Holy Spirit and to know that we have to go to the spring and look for fresh water from the Lord every day. days of our life, and that water comes with the baptism of the Holy Spirit, that seal that God imparts to us, that conviction, that closeness, that continuous intimacy with the Holy Spirit, that is the water that we need to refresh us every day of our life and that can only be achieved by getting involved in seeking the Presence of God in your life, taking responsibility for your own spiritual life and staying in intimacy with God, and paying the price, there is a price to pay for the anointing brothers.
The anointing of God has a cost, a life of perpetual surrender, sacrifices, privations, not enjoying everything you want, you have to pay, the price, fasting, prayer, Word, obedience, congregating, giving, to serve, to die, that is the price for a filling of the Holy Spirit in our lives, we have to live lives filled with the Spirit, that does not happen simply in a generic congregational life, it is nice but that is not the source of the waters. The source of the waters is within you seeking personally and individually the Presence of God in your life.
And that is why God tells him: "My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest." I ask the Lord right now that this be the motto of our lives, if the Presence of God is in our lives we will be rested and restless, next to resting waters you will shepherd me says the Word of the Lord, the Power, the anointing of God .
And then Moses answers him: "If Your Presence is not going to go with me, don't take us out of here" and he adds, because Moses, as a good Jew, was a businessman and a negotiator, and then he says, he bargains with God, he says: "Well, what and in what shall it be known here that I and Your people have found favor in Your sight but that You walk with us, and that I and Your people are separated from all the peoples that are on the face of the earth? "And the LORD said to Moses, I will also do this which you have said, because you have found favor in my sight, and I have known you by name."
And then look at what Moses tells you, here we go to the punchline, to the very heart of the sermon, “he then said: I beg you to show me Your glory;” and the Lord said to him: "I will make all my good things pass before your face" how beautiful, how poetic, "I will make all my good things pass before your face, and I will proclaim the name of Jehovah before you;" listen to me: if you want a beautiful poetic, artistic image, there it is, I will make all my good pass before you, why did the Lord say that to Moses, why did he put it in those terms, what is all my good?
All my good means all my property, all the good things I have I am going to display before you, everything I have in my treasure I am going to pass on to you in a moment, I will make it all happen in such a moment , all my good in front of you.
Do you know brothers? It occurs to me that this is what comes with the filling and the baptism of the Holy Spirit, the gifts of the Holy Spirit come with the filling of the Holy Spirit and God endows us with all His potential good, impregnates us with all His goods and deposited within us, we already have them there, we are pregnant with God's endowment. All the gifts, all the artifacts of the temple enter our life, all the potential attributes of God impregnate and fill us in a criminal way and are there within us already, and now we just have to live in them.
The Bible says that God has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places, every good gift, every perfect gift, and God has placed it within us, and God says to Moses: I will make all my good things pass before you and I will proclaim the Name of Jehovah before you, as if wanting to say: I am going to seal you with My Presence, I am going to seal you with My personality, I am going to say a word: Jehovah, and that word is going to fall on you and it is going to saturate you of My character, of My Presence, My endowment, My Power.
I believe that again, that is that baptism, that immersion, is when we immerse ourselves in the personality of God and He saturates us inside and out. There is a water that God gives that does not stay outside the skin, that water penetrates through each pore and enters through your neurology, it enters your muscles, it enters the tissues of your body, it enters your brain, your personality, your memories, your emotions, your wounds, the water of God enters and bathes you in every little corner and hidden place of your being. I will pass My Presence and declare My Name over you.
It's a good thing Moses didn't just get a partial experience because that's what it's all about, right? this passage, is that he wanted more and God gave him more, he says: "And I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will be merciful to whom I will be merciful" wow, how beautiful is the love, the Power, the generosity of God for those who believe and seek him, and are not content with just one measure.
God wants you to ask for the upper and lower waters, that you are not content with just a little more, I want to impregnate you today with a desire for more of the Lord. I feel that God is speaking prophetically to this people right now and that God wants us to leave here desperate for the Presence and the Name of God over our lives, that we leave here with a mission and that is to be saturated with the Presence of God as Moses was when he came down from the mountain, he says his face shone because he had become so saturated with the Presence of God that people saw him and saw the glory of God in him, and it is the only way, oh may the Lord make us into monks of the Spirit, priests and priestesses of the Spirit seeking the Lord day and night trembling with desire for the King to visit us in our chamber, we need the Lord to show us His Face.
And what I was telling you, this was going to be just a verse on the way to the message but I believe that God stopped us there in a prophetic Word, God says: Do not be satisfied with the first position, the first state of Moses even if you it seems that you already have a lot perhaps, go to the second stage, the stage of glory, the Presence, the Face, the endowment, the goods that God wants to give you, do not stay in the first place, go to the second, go to the new stage.
The Disciples on the mountain saw the glory of God and said: Lord we are going to make three tents and we are going to stay here, He said: No, there are other things, do not stay here, get involved in the adventure of beheading giants, have adventures with me , go there, there is a demon that is afflicting a boy, go there, release him. We have to go deeper, deeper, deeper, we have to be insatiable in our appetite and our hunger and thirst for God, and that is what God wants, an ambitious people, a people who dare to ask God for things that terrify them. , that is the Word of God for you.
Ask me for half the Kingdom and I will give it to you. Do you have the courage to tell the Lord: Father, I want something unusual for my life and I want You to do something beyond, unprecedented with me, in me and through me, and I want Your anointing in a greater measure than what Up to now I have had it, like Moses, perhaps I have been enjoying good times with You but I want something more, I want to see Your Face, I want intimacy. I want you to give me such a powerful expression of Your Person that I have to put the cracks in some rocks to protect me because the explosion is going to be so great that if I am not protected you are going to burn me up and turn me into coal. That was what God told him: Get into the corner of that rock and that crack so that when you see me what you are about to see doesn't destroy you.
I tell him: Lord I want that, I want that if I die looking at Your Face amen but I will have seen it even for a second or something that you give me that has no example or precedents, let us ask the Lord for great, daring and daring things, this afternoon that is what we wish for you.
If you have not had an experience with Jesus Christ, if you want to move forward here, if you want to stand up, if you want to come here you can also do it, we are not going to be with many things, but if someone does not know Jesus at that initial level and wants give your life to the Lord right now the place is open. If you know someone next to you who came here and doesn't know Jesus, look, invite him to come up here and pray for him, if you know he doesn't know come here, and if not, if you already know him but You want to go to another level like Moses, I am going to ask you to do something daring, stand up and say: Lord, I want to meet you on another level, I want to meet you in another dimension, do it as something prophetic, do not do it generically, I want to feel those bones creak when you stand up because you're going to be doing something very serious, okay?
And right now I have stood up in my spirit to ask the Lord to scare me and terrify me with His provision, and I ask the Lord that this Church be made up of men and women radically committed to the Kingdom of God, that the smallest be like those men of David. I don't remember what the expression is, but the smallest makes a hundred flee, dangerous people for this city and for the forces of the devil, dangerous in the sense that all the evil of the enemy trembles in the presence of a member of this Congregation. not for our glory but for the glory of God.
May God even out this Congregation, may there be no hot and cold places, all passion, all dedication. Oh my brother, if you are not there, ask the Lord to take you there, if you have not felt that hunger and thirst for God in your life, ask Him to take you there, I can tell you that that is where I live and that I am not there's nothing that will calm this hunger that I have for the anointing and the Presence, and the approval, and the desire to see God manifest as never before.
I'm holding out there because I want the jackpot, don't give me second or third category prizes, I want the jackpot, I want to hit the jackpot and I'm willing to wait for it to come, and that's how I ask you. Christianity is not a game thing, this is not a game thing, we have turned it into a game but it is not a game, it is an adventure, it is a heroic saga that God wants us to live. God wants people in future generations to say: I knew her, I knew her in your life, that your children remember you as a man who sealed them with an image that lasts for a lifetime and that they eat from that image every day. days of your life, that is what God wants, that we leave something here on Earth.
Most Christians die and no one realizes they existed, we want to make a difference. I commission you in the Name of Jesus Christ, raise your hands right now, I commission you in the Name of Jesus for something extraordinary and I declare the good of God over your life, I declare the endowment of the Holy Spirit, the filling of the Spirit of God, gifts being distributed, concerns, desires, oh, great dissatisfaction with where you are and a request: Lord, give me more, give me more.
Give me children or else I die. Help me bring forth something good, something great, something admirable, something You approve of, something that will delight Your heart before I die Father. I declare the good of Jehovah running before this Congregation right now, all the good of God running, the Presence of God that gives us rest and that we move in that rest of God, that rest pregnant with God where all the nutrients of a powerful, fruitful life.
Oh Lord, a sacred moment that we ask You to seal in Your Father Book, write it in Your Father Book, that this is not just something temporary, we make a pact with You Lord, we want to see Your glory and we want the Name of Jesus to be written sculpted in the central place of our will and our being, in that hidden space of the foundations of our being, there in that cornerstone is the stone and the anointing of the Holy Spirit in us in this Father town, seal us and write the Name of Your Son, we are His property.
This Church is consecrated to You Lord, do not let us live lukewarm, mediocre, general, generic lives, specific lives, consecrated lives. O Lord, pass before us and shout Your Name in front of this Congregation Father and seal us, to Your glory, to Your glory, hallelujah, thank you Lord, thank you, hallelujah, amen and amen, glory to God, thank you Lord, thank you God .
