Summary: The Christian life is meant to be lived fully, filled with the Holy Spirit. God wants to soak us and fill us with His Spirit. Paul advises Timothy to fan the gift of God within him, and the same applies to us. We need to activate and use the gifts that God has given us. Many people have been intimidated and stopped from entering a life filled with the Holy Spirit because of the overcomplication of the process. We need to simplify it and recognize that it is already within us. The key to a life filled with the Spirit is striving to activate what God has already placed in us.

The author believes that being filled with the Holy Spirit is not about experiencing specific external manifestations, such as speaking in tongues, but rather about believing and moving in the Power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit can manifest differently in different people and there are Spirit-filled Christians who do not necessarily experience spectacular signs and wonders. The author emphasizes the importance of both the gift and the fruit of the Spirit, as well as obedience, humility, character, discipline, and being more like Christ. The Holy Spirit gives power to overcome challenges, but the person must use that power in all areas of their life and surrender their weaknesses to the Lord. The person filled with the Holy Spirit is not a timid person, but rather someone who believes that with Christ they can overcome any challenge.

The Holy Spirit gives us power and authority to undertake anything in life, but power must be balanced with love and self-control. Love tempers power and is what keeps the devil at bay. Humility and service are also important in balancing power. The character of Christ must be cultivated to balance power, and one must learn to manage the gifts of the Spirit in the context of the Church. Paul's letters in 1 Corinthians 12, 13, and 14 provide the balance and technology of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the source of power for the believer's life, and one must continually draw strength and energy from the Holy Spirit.

In chapter 14 of Corinthians, Paul emphasizes the importance of balance in the manifestation of the Spirit, including order and decency in a service. He also highlights the importance of self-control, which refers to having a healthy and logical mind. The mind of Christ is the wisest and most understanding mind, capable of solving problems and understanding God. Those who have the Holy Spirit have a reconstituted mind, while those who do not have the Spirit have a reprobate mind. Paul encourages believers to fan the fire of the gift of God within them, to give themselves as living sacrifices to the Lord, and to live life fully to the Spirit. The author invites anyone who wants to receive Christ to come forward and pray for them.

It focuses on the life filled with the Holy Spirit, the Christian life is not supposed to be lived simply by halves, like having only a little bit of the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit wants to overflow in us, amen? What's more, He wants to be with us so much that there is talk of a baptism, do you know what the word baptism means in the original Greek? baptizo, refers to saturation, filling, immersion in, God wants to soak us, God wants to fill us.

Right now it came to me, how many know what a fritter is? the Dominicans know but I also see Gloria there who is Ecuadorian, those are buñuelos, some like flour balls, like donuts that are put in a syrup, right? and they are plugged as they say, there are a few words, they are plugged, they are soaked, they are filled in the syrup and the syrup by dint of staying there that ball plugs in (laughs) penetrates, and when you put it in the mouth it melts like that all that syrup in there, because that little ball is full of syrup, that's how we're supposed to be, plugged in the Spirit, that's what I'm going to title this sermon, plugged in the Spirit (laughs), plugged in means saturated with , OK? alright, how good the Lord is, he gives us ideas, he gives us illustrations.

God wants us to be filled with the Spirit, you will remember that last Sunday we talked about the Apostle Paul saying: "Do not get drunk with wine" that is, do not get drunk with liquor, any type of alcohol or substance, today we can also say : do not get high and if you are going to get high, get high with the Holy Spirit, amen? if you are going to get drunk with something get drunk with the Spirit is what Paul meant, live filled, saturated with the Holy Spirit.

When I hear you praise you in this way as we also did during adoration, as we do in those moments when the Spirit moves in our midst in those visitations of the Spirit of the Lord, I say: wow, Father, I hope that we learn to to always be in that way as a Congregation. And you know, when the temperature drops to 40 or 50 degrees in January, come with that same fervor, because the fire of the Spirit does not depend on physical temperature, it depends on us, on what is within us, His Presence.

But you know what? that presence must be activated, the presence is there but it must be mobilized, it must be put into manifestation. You will remember that last Sunday I spoke about the Apostle Paul writing to Timothy, or I spoke about that, what happens is that I preach one thing in Spanish and another in English, and I no longer know what I am saying, yes I said it in one service or the other, but you know what Paul says to Pastor Timothy, Timothy was a Pastor, he was a disciple of a protégé of the Apostle Paul, Paul had protected him, had educated him and was like a spiritual son .

And Paul writes to Timothy there in his pastorate and tells him, what's more, let me read that because I think maybe I didn't deal with it. In Second Timothy chapter 1 he speaks there in verse 5, he writes to Timothy and says: "And bringing to mind the unfeigned faith that is in you, which first dwelt in your grandmother Lois" how nice that family detail That is why I believe that the Bible is truly the Word of God because it has that ring, that tone of truth, in that detail there in which Paul tells him: "in your grandmother Loida" it's like, right? Does that kind of compress your heartstrings a little bit? or am I the only romantic, thank God for those mothers who transferred their love to the Lord to us, thank God for the spiritual grandmothers that we also have who marked us with their fire for the Lord.

I want to be a grandfather that when the grandchildren remind him they do it for my love for the Lord, it is good for us to transfer him to our spiritual children as well, take seriously his call to be a mentor in the Spirit. When I see some of the women and men also here in the Church mentoring others who are new in the Lord I say: thank you God because Your anointing is being transferred by others.

Do you know that God has called you to be a mentor, a grandfather in the spirit? you can take a young woman who is confused as so many young people are today, confused by the culture they live in, the education they are receiving in school, and you can be a mentor to them. You may not see yourself as a possible mentor, but you can be a mentor for someone, someone new to the faith that you have brought to the Church, that you have presented to the Lord. Why don't you receive a call from God right now in your life to be a spiritual mentor to someone?

Ask the Lord to mentor someone and make you a Shepherd, a Shepherdess in spirit, spirit filled people anointed in spirit, saturated in spirit can transfer their anointing to other people as well if you dare and do it. you receive as a call for you. Maybe you say: I don't have that option, I don't have that ability, God hasn't endowed me; by faith you can do it.

I do not know if the Lord is prophesying through me right now, but perhaps for some here there is a call because I did not come up with the idea of speaking about it specifically, but in the Name of Jesus right now I declare over your life a capacity to reproduce spiritually. Why don't we say a prayer right now?

If you want right now: Father in the Name of Jesus I declare right now Your Spirit moving in this Congregation and distributing a gift of spiritual motherhood and fatherhood over my brothers, I feel the anointing of God at this moment, God supports this prayer . And I open the womb of this Congregation for all that Lord that You have destined that this afternoon receive an impartation of maternity, spiritual paternity, that they receive right now that gift in the Power of the Holy Spirit, I transfer by the Power and authority of Your Spirit an epidemic of maternity and paternity Lord, a contagion of the Father Spirit, so that many of us may bring others to the knowledge of Jesus and enable them also to be spiritual fathers and mothers themselves, a chain, a legacy of maternity and paternity spiritual on this town, we receive it Lord

And now send those people to our eyes Lord so that we can recognize them, and Father, I endow Your people with that capacity and that power, that Lord may this spirit spread and that we see a harvest of lives filled with the vitality of the Spirit through of this prayer Father, we believe it, we receive it, we update it in the Name of Jesus, hallelujah, glory to God. Give the Lord a big round of applause, get that.

If you want to believe it, believe it and get to work on it, God is going to do something extraordinary in your life and they will remember me. Now, what do you have to do with this Word? I have given a Word believing that it comes from God and I have dared to declare it over your life, do you think it stays there? No, now, if you received that Word as for you personally, you have to fan the fire of the gift of God that is now in you, now you are pregnant or pregnant in the Spirit. Now there is within you a germ of the life of God in the form of spiritual motherhood or fatherhood and an ability to disciple another person in your life or other people, it can be another family. Now what you must do is believe that God spoke to you, that God imparted this to you; Although I did not put a hand on you, but the Word of God is all that is required, faith is what activates, that they lay hands on you, that they anoint you with oil, it is your faith that will activate the Word.

So when you receive that Word you have to start praying to stir it up inside of you and start seeing opportunities where God can use you in that capacity that we have talked about now. And then you have to say: Lord, here is so-and-so, you have given him to me, I am going to call him, I am going to watch over him, I am going to take care of him, I am going to take care of him in the Spirit, I am going to disciple him, I am going to encourage him to to continue in the path of the Lord and if You give me the opportunity I will take a passage from the Bible and I will study it with him or her, and I will pray, intercede for him or her, and then what are you doing? doing? you are taking the gift of God and you are putting it into activity, and God the more you activate yourself the more he will give you, the more he will give you because gifts grow when we use them, that is life in the Spirit, those are the secrets of Spirit technology.

That is why Paul tells Timothy there in that passage: “Then, recalling the unfeigned faith that is in you, which first dwelt in your grandmother Lois, and in your mother Eunice, and I am sure now in you also " OK? that is why it is the unfeigned faith that is in you. Timothy came from a spiritual lineage of two great women of God. Why is it always like the women are in the lead? Listen to me, they are still there in the New Testament, what would the Church be if there were no united women? men: we are going to put our batteries together so that they mention us in the Bible (laughs). Glory to God, there are, there are, but we too are going to be filled with the Spirit, the men who are beginning in the Gospel, this young man who is next to my sister Dilma; not Dilma, Ilsia. Dilma, Ilsia, these women have me confused, next to Ilsia this young man there, maybe God wants to make you a powerful man in the Spirit.

You already are because you have the brains, now also in the Spirit too (laughs), become a powerful man of God because this does not matter, it is not that you have education or have titles, anyone can be a man filled with the Holy Spirit and to be used by God, you don't have to wait long, start with what you have, activate it and use it for the glory of the Lord, I know that God has something for your life.

So he says, he talks about this faith that comes from three generations, and then Paul considering this great faith that lives in this young Pastor tells him: "for this reason I advise you" that is verse 6, can you put that passage for me ? Second Timothy chapter 1 if you can put it there, thank you I'm playing, -half playing-, "I advise you to fan the gift of God that is in you" in other words that Paul's call to enhance the gift is because he He says: wow, look at what is in you so valuable, so important, use it, move it, put it into operation.

And that is one of the things brothers about the life in the Spirit, the moving of the Holy Spirit, remember that I am talking about the life filled with the Spirit, the baptism in the Holy Spirit, how to be a Church and individuals who live a supernatural life. It all starts with that idea of taking seriously what is already within us, what is already within us.

I believe that most of the problems that Christians have in the Church in terms of living mediocre or feeble lives is not due to the fact that some of us have been given more of the Spirit and others less, but rather it is what we do with what we have. we have, with the gifts that God has given us. Remember what we talked about last Sunday, there are people who fan the fire of the gift and put it to work, and there are others who don't and that's why they remain small, so the key to a life filled with the Spirit is: how do you Do you strive to activate what God has already placed in you, is it already in you?

That's why when I talk about the baptism of the Holy Spirit and the filling of the Holy Spirit, look, I believe that many people have allowed themselves to be confused, intimidated and stopped from entering a life filled with the Holy Spirit because we have overcomplicated what is necessary. which is to live a life filled with the Holy Spirit.

We have said that for a person to be filled with the Holy Spirit, they have to do this, they have to do that, they have to experience this, they have to roll on the ground about 50 times and come out full of dust, and with their bow undone, and all that mess, and drooling from the mouth, and the eyes rolling in their sockets, and if you don't do that you are not baptized in the Holy Spirit, then people are intimidated by that and say: well, since I have not experienced that then I do not have the Holy Spirit.

And I have discovered after observing brothers for decades and visiting churches all over the world Pentecostal and non-Pentecostal, revived and unrevived, dead and undead, 4x4 and 12x8 or whatever, I have discovered that the common element in people filled with the Holy Spirit is not even whether they speak in tongues or not, whether they prophesy or not, it is a different quality, it is living immersed in the Word of the Lord, believing the Spirit.

As far as I know, my mother never spoke in tongues, she died at the age of 92, but she was a woman filled with the Holy Spirit, and when the Spirit entered her, what came out was like a roar of one of those ambulance sirens, that it was the way she manifested the Spirit in her. She was a woman who did, she experienced everything, dreams, revelations, she was a lioness when she had to protect her children, an extremely wise counselor, a woman of tremendous faith, a contagious faith, she infected all of her children because she was full of the Holy Spirit.

I believe that there are churches that don't even know they have the Holy Spirit and they move in the Power of the Holy Spirit. I believe that the key for a person to live in the Power of the Holy Spirit is for them to believe they have it and move in it, thank you sister, very kind, the others are not working so they don't deserve that, you know? only those who work, I'm playing, I'm playing (laughs), but I tell you brothers sometimes things turn out, have you seen that movie Liar, Liar in which you want to lie and you can't? (laughs).

The case is brothers, the difference, what happens is that the person filled with the Holy Spirit believes that he has and moves in what he has, and with what he has he does things and undertakes things in the Name of the Lord, and God honors that . It is not the fact that you speak in tongues, although those things are important, I speak in tongues as Paul says more than many of you, but I do not have to flaunt it nor do I think that is what certifies me as a full person of the Holy Spirit, because I have seen both sides.

I have seen churches and I have seen people who do not say they are filled with the Holy Spirit and do not handle the specific technology of baptism in the Holy Spirit, and they are Spirit filled Christians, God uses them in Evangelism, they have visions, they see signs, they are members effective of the Kingdom of God, and I have seen other people who say they are filled with the Holy Spirit and the devil lives by hitting them left and right on the head, they are like mice wherever they go, and they are full of the Holy Spirit.

I believe that the difference is in that, it is not in external things, it is in taking the gift of God that is in one and beginning to move, and claiming the Power, the anointing, the company of God, that what the God's Word is true and moving in the promises of the Lord, and that is what a person filled with the Holy Spirit does.

And in the Bible I see different ways that the Holy Spirit baptized people. For example, I see two cases that I will talk a little more about later, Saul and David, both were anointed by the great Prophet Samuel, and they were anointed by the Power of the Holy Spirit, Samuel poured out a horn of oil for them. on their heads as a sign of anointing and introduction to life because they were going to be kings, they were going to have to make war, make political decisions, move in the wisdom that was required for a king and God anointed them.

But in the case of Saul, if you see Saul experiences the anointing of the Holy Spirit with signs and wonders, Saul prophesies, Saul moves in very powerful signs when God baptizes them in the Power of the Holy Spirit. David the only evidence we have is that Samuel anointed him, he poured a horn of oil on his head like Saul but David says nothing about him shouting, that he experienced prophecies, that a company of prophets came around him, that God sent him to a strange place as he did with Saul, none of that, he was simply anointed and then the Spirit of God begins to move from then on, the next stories of David that we see is when he is taking some cheese and a meal to his brothers who are in the field of war and there is Goliath insulting the people of God, and David without knowing what motivates him and says: who is this man to be insulting the armies of the living God? and when we come to see, he is throwing a stone at the giant who falls to the ground and the Power of God moves in him.

And what happened? although he did not necessarily experience those spectacular signs at that time, but already the Power of God was beating within him, there was a machinery of the Spirit that took him directly to the place where he could appear in prominence before Israel and begin his career in the Spirit. , and from there then we see the anointing of God flowing in David's life in a way that can be said automatically, and after that tests come to David's life, he knows that Saul persecutes him and David enters into his role as king About 10 or 12 years after he was anointed by the Holy Spirit to be king, what a mystery, right?

But the important thing is that the Spirit was already beating within him, the life of the Spirit was within David. With Saul it manifests itself in one way, with David in another, but both had that power and both moved into it.

Interestingly, despite being filled with the Spirit, David ends his spiritual career with disaster, in disaster, God ends up rejecting him, and David is a man who until the end of his days continues victoriously with the Lord although he also stumbles there.

But you know what? This is interesting, I point this out because the Holy Spirit is not a magic formula that makes you a perfect saint, the filling of the Holy Spirit is like a transparent armor that is placed on you, it is like a net of power that covers you and you continue being that human person but now you have something that gives you a spiritual lining, and you struggle with your problems and your inclinations, your problems, your battles, but you have that glory, that power of the Lord that gives you victory in the things that you face ; you are still an imperfect person.

Many of the strongest Pentecostals that I have met are people that I would not invite to my house for dinner but they have the Power of God in their lives and I want to stick with them, and be infected with their energy, and their power, because It is not that the Holy Spirit endows you with virtues, no, but it does give you power to overcome and to the extent that you use that power, God gives you power over whatever you want. And the thing many times is that we have the Holy Spirit but we use that power that is in us for certain things that we like and for others we do not use it, and the Power of the Holy Spirit is in you for what you ask him to do.

For example, many Pentecostals, many charismatics get so enamored with the part of power, power, power, that they forget about the other part, and so they are just looking for signs, wonders, revelations, healings, evangelism, and they just want that tasty part of it. Spirit but forget the other part: sanctification, obedience, brokenness, character, discipline, dying to self and flesh, being more like Christ, asking the Lord to make us kind, loving, generous, humble, servants of the Lord, that kill us that animal that is inside us and help us to be more like Christ.

So we believe that since we already have all the gifts, they are being manifested and God is using us in signs, healings, and wonders, and we forget that the character of Christ also has to be manifested. That's why the Bible talks about the gift of the Spirit and also the fruit of the Spirit, and both are needed.

As I said, many Pentecostals only think about the gifts, the spectacular manifestations because that is tasty, we like it, of course, who does not like spicy food or tomato sauce? I love all that in food but we forget that there is something else, here Naomi, who is a chef, says, of course, there are other spices that are also needed in the formula of food, of the spirit and we have to ask the Lord both.

Saul neglected obedience, he neglected humility, he fell in love with power, he did not surrender his life to the Lord and the devil tripped him exactly when he had to, because in your life even if you have the Power of the Holy Spirit there are going to be areas in which you are going to say: Lord help me to discern myself and understand, and help me deliver those areas of danger that are in my life.

Every man, every woman of God has areas of weakness through which the devil is going to put the arrow if you do not take care of yourself in your armor, you have to be giving those areas to the Lord because if not that is where you are going to fail . And that was what happened with Saul: God anointed him with supernatural power but he neglected certain areas in his life, and when we seek the Power and the move of God in our lives we have to tell him: Lord, I want 360 degrees of Your Grace in my life, everything that You have for me.

So in your life when you claim the anointing and the Power of the Holy Spirit, and you move it within you, you have to make sure that you apply it in different ways because that technology of the Spirit is going to be within you and it is going to ask you: What do you do you want me to do?

Do you remember when the Lord approaches those characters with a need in the New Testament with a need, what does he say to them? "what do you want me to do to you?" He always asks them that question as if He doesn't know. A blind man comes: “Lord”, I have to be careful there are some buses around (laughter), “Lord, have mercy on me” and Jesus comes and says: “Bring it to Me, come, what do you want me to do?” and Lord: what do you mean what do you want me to do? that you heal me that I am blind, give me my sight, but the Lord wants to hear within us that voice that tells him: Lord, this is what I need in my life, God treats us as adults.

He asked the lepers: do you think I can do this? to the father of the demoniac. He wants a voice to appear within us that tells him what we need, you have the Power of God within you, now activate it, direct it in any area of your life.

Is it in your fatherhood or in your motherhood that you need wisdom? ask the Lord: Father, make me a blessed mother or father who infects my children with my love for You, a husband who blesses his wife, or a wife to her husband, tell him: Father, help me to be like that woman of Proverbs 31 or help me to be like that exemplary man who records your Scripture, as Christ was the servant of his wife the Church, right? Do you need wisdom in your work to be good in the areas in which you work? ask the Spirit that the Power of God is already within you and the Lord will help you in every area you undertake.

As he told Joshua: "I have given you all the land that the soles of your feet will tread on." I proceed from that perspective in all dimensions of my life, I assume that I have the power within me and when a challenge comes to my life I immediately tell him: Lord, destroy that mountain, lower it; Whatever the area of your life, I can do everything in Christ who strengthens me says the Word of the Lord, God has not given us a spirit of cowardice but of power, love and self-control.

When Paul says that to Timothy in verse 7 of Second Timothy 1 right? "Fan the fire of the gift of God because the spirit that God has put in you is not a spirit of cowardice." What the word cowardice means is timidity, low spirits, a conservative spirit.

The person filled with the Holy Spirit is not a timid person, he is not a person who, when he sees a challenge, says: ah, I can't, the person filled with the Holy Spirit is the person who believes that with Christ I am more than a winner and he throws himself to the challenges of life believing that God is powerful to get him on his way.

And when the Apostle Paul tells Timothy: God has not given us a spirit of timidity, mediocrity, cowardice, call it what you want, conservatism, but of power, love and self-control, I have always thought that in those three words there were three concepts that covered the totality of the human faculty to do something in the world. Wow, say: how deep the Pastor (laughs).

But of power, love and self-control. Power because God gives us the ability to do anything, authority, gives us agency, a fine word, to undertake anything in the world. The person filled with the Holy Spirit has power and authority for all undertakings and all dimensions of life.

The Lord Jesus Christ told the disciples: all authority is given to Me in heaven and on earth, therefore go and preach the Gospel, and do My Will. Before going to heaven in His ascension He told them: do not leave Jerusalem until you have been clothed with power from on high, why? because to undertake the tasks of life, whatever it may be, you need gasoline from the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the gasoline of the spiritual car of your life, write that down for a poem, a choir, it is the gasoline, it is the fuel by which everything moves.

Every device in the world, every machine, be it an extremely exquisite or complicated computer or a bicycle, needs power from somewhere, that bicycle, if it doesn't have feet that don't pedal, doesn't go anywhere, the power comes from the legs, not from the head. bicycle, the bicycle is an inert thing there. A computer has a battery that gives it power, a space rocket has an incredible amount of fuel, an atomic bomb has a bomb that activates the bomb, it's too deep for you but look for it there in the (laughs).

Everything that moves, the world itself, creation itself, this orb, this terrestrial globe has an energy source, do you know its name? sun, the sun communicates its energy and vitalizes creation on this Earth, without the sun this would be a completely deserted and frozen planet, there is a source of power called the sun.

Everything in the world needs energy, everything, and it is the same with the life of the spirit. In the believer's life, the source of power is called the Holy Spirit and we have to live plugged in, stuck, always drawing strength and energy from the Holy Spirit, and to the extent that you glorify the Holy Spirit, to the extent that you you arouse it, you raise it, you mention it, you validate it, you legitimize it, use the word you want, in this way the Spirit awakens within you and moves within you.

That's why myself right now, beginning with this Sunday, I feel something different in the environment, maybe I'm imagining it but I don't think so. Do you know why? Because when one begins to mention the Holy Spirit, I have seen that in different congregations over the years, there is something that fuels the fire of a Congregation, that is why from time to time it is necessary to awaken that in the town.

You will see in my sermons through the years there are periods in which God tells me: Roberto, it is time to go back to preaching about the Spirit because if you don't go to sleep in a peaceful and restful sleep, and you lose that.

A Congregation in three or four months can stop being Pentecostal and become a typically evangelical Congregation and cooked over medium heat, a boiled egg, you have to periodically fill yourself with the Holy Spirit and fill yourself with the truths that have to do with the Holy Spirit, the filling, the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and that awakens that part again, that's what it says when it says: kindle the fire of the gift of God that is in you.

And then Paul, again, I have not forgotten, says: because the spirit that God has given us is a spirit of power, of love. Why do you say love? for naked power without love is like a sword that cuts and poisons and destroys. The power that has no love is like a strong beast that destroys everything around it, it is like a heavy machine that crushes everything that passes in front of it. Power has to be tempered with love, that is the counterweight of power.

That's why I say: if you are a man, a Pentecostal woman, don't just talk about power, power, power, you have to talk about the character of Christ within you, that authority of Christ has to be tempered by an attitude of service , of love, of humility, of knowing that this power does not belong to you, that power is because God has given it to you, if you do not use it well, he takes it away and takes it away.

Sometimes people say: oh, how humble is that person! look brother, none of us is truly humble, what we can do is simply be honest and say: this is not mine, this is God's and if I don't behave well God will take it away in a little while, what I do is use what God has given me and that is why humility is so important, serving others, loving others, recognizing that without God we are nothing.

Love is what tempers power and to the extent that you cultivate love, humility, mercy, grace, to that extent your power acquires balance. That is why, once again, do not fall so in love with power that you forget about the other part and that is what I say, that many congregations do not lack gifts but the devil is dividing them all the time, they are having everything type of scandals and things because they grow, and they forget that we have to continually be saying: Lord it is by Your Grace, it is by Your mercy, it is by Your goodness, we are nothing, it is because of You, it is You and that is why we have to be merciful to each other. The more power God gives you, the more humble yourself, the more you lower yourself and the more you claim the Grace of the Lord because it is by Grace and not by works.

The more power you have, the more loving and humble you have to be. I have always said that what keeps the devil at bay is not power, it is the fruit of the Holy Spirit, it is the character of Christ. If you want to be protected from the devil's attacks, love as Christ loved, serve as Christ served, bless as Christ blessed and give yourself to others as Christ gave Himself, that is what covers your back.

Many people think that if I speak in tongues, if I have the gifts of the Spirit, if I heal the sick, I no longer need anything; It is when you need the other part the most, the character of Christ to balance your power because if not what you are going to have is an ugly, unpleasant and uninviting power. A Pentecostal who only has strength and there are some is the most grotesque person I know, brothers, because only spiritual strength is not enough, there must be a balance of the character of Christ.

Study the character of Christ, ask the Lord to fill you with the attributes of your Lord while you move in power, it is what we see in Christ, that balance of power and love. Look, there is a wonderful passage when He washes the feet of His disciples and the Lord tells the disciples: You call me Lord and say well because I am, in other words the Lord did not suffer from an inferiority complex, you know? The Lord knew who He was and that is why He said: all power and all authority is given to me on Earth, the Lord did not suffer from false humility, you know? He knew who He was. And you call me Lord, and you say well because I know that I am, but if I wash the feet of others, you must also do it, there is the other part of humility and service.

There is another very interesting passage right there where it says that the Lord, knowing that God was going to glorify Him, is talking about the cross, says that taking a basin and a towel, He wrapped them around and washed the feet of His disciples, and one says: wow wait how so? knowing that God was going to glorify him instead of saying: well, what he did was then that he said: no, everyone has to obey me, I am the greatest of all, no, instead of that what he did was to he tied a towel and washed their feet knowing that God was going to glorify him, and we have to do the same.

When God blesses us, gives us power, fills us with the Holy Spirit, then we have to say: Lord, now also give me power to subdue this beast that I have inside me to walk in holiness and good behavior, to obey you, to be an example to my Brothers, to hold back the anger, the physical and verbal abuse in my home, to hold down my pride, to hold down being offended by anything that people say to me, to hold down the desire to stand out in the Congregation, to hold down this person who offend any little thing that happens in the Church, to subdue the person who is believed to be the last coke in the desert and who knows everything, and has everything, so that the Lord subdues the monster that is within all of us, that carnal, earthly, diabolical man that is inside each one of us you need the Power of the Holy Spirit for that, the filling of the Holy Spirit in your life, balance.

"For the Lord has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and love." Another thing regarding this balance: I have said that in chapter 12, 13 and 14 of First Corinthians there is all the technology of the Holy Spirit, if you want to be an excellent Pentecostal read First Corinthians 12, 13 and 14 because there there is the whole balance that I am talking about.

In chapter 12 the Apostle Paul says and we will touch on that later: "My brother, I do not want you to be ignorant about things of the spirit" and proceeds to list the different gifts of the Holy Spirit, the Pentecostal life full of the Power of God, chapter 12. In chapter 13 he says: "If I speak human and angelic tongues, and I do not have love, I become metal that resonates or a symbol that tinkles" and adds at some point: "if I have all the power so that I can move the mountains and transfer them to the heart of the sea, and I have no love, I am nothing, it is of no use to me” why? because it says that love is merciful, it is kind, it does nothing inappropriate, it believes everything, it hopes for everything, it supports everything, love is not envious, it is not puffed up.

That is to say: in the first chapter he talks about power and gifts, in chapter 12 he says: if you don't have love to counterbalance and counterbalance that power, don't dress because you're not going, it's useless. Don't you see what Christ says? Christ says that one day they will come before Him and say: Lord, we do not cast out demons, we do not heal the sick, we do not evangelize, and the Lord will tell them: Get away from Me, I do not know you, because doing great things and having gifts only does not guarantees that you are doing the Will of God.

Many times God only honors faith in a person despite his sins and disobedience but he has to pay the price at some point, don't believe it, the Lord sees all things and is fair. You can't bribe God with actions and deeds, you know? it takes a genuine, authentic presence of God in our life and I say that with fear and trembling because I know how heavy and serious what I am declaring.

I call you brothers to a life of balance in the Spirit. Power, in chapter 12 love, and in chapter 14 he talks about how the gifts of the Spirit should be handled in the context of the Church, the systematic and institutional order that suits the use of gifts, why? because that is a problem many times when churches do not learn to manage the gifts of the Spirit in the context of the Congregation and in the order of the Spirit, that is where disorder comes, problems come, divisions come and the devil gets in and does a number of things.

Do you know that sometimes I approach someone and say: please, brother, be brief when you pray and they say: there is the Pastor killing the spirit? or I go up when the adoration is in full swing and I shorten the time of adoration a little bit, there is this old bloody guy cutting off the anointing of the Holy Spirit (laughs), no, it is that the Pastor watches over the order of the Church, right? so I am like the traffic policeman, I direct the different things of the service and that is the order, I watch over the order.

In chapter 14 Paul says: look, if you are in a service and you are all there with a language speaking in tongues, jumping, throwing yourself on the floor and someone you do not know comes and says: these people are crazy, I have entered an insane asylum here (laughs), and we scandalize them, he says: no, do things decently.

The Presence of the Spirit has a beauty, brothers, and a harmony that is felt. There may be people praying all together and exalted, and raising their hands, but there is something like a coherence that is known that there is something that is controlling, an order that is not the order in which nothing happens, it is the order in which many things happen. things but there is a beautiful coherence in which one knows: no, I am in a safe place, these people are not going to hurt my face because they lost control and did this, right? it is an order, but there is also an exaltation.

So the Apostle Paul in these three chapters is saying: that there is the exuberance of the gifts but that there is also the love of the Spirit and that there is also order when you meet and the Spirit is manifested among you, one thing does not go against the other. Pablo always insisting on that balance, in that harmony. Spirit of power and love that counterbalances power.

And then what is this self-control? the word that in the original Greek Paul uses is a word that refers to a healthy mind, a mind in order, sophronen, the idea is a mind, God has given us power, love and a mind that thinks well, a mind that captures the reality in which we are moving with accuracy and precision, a mind that sees things well, that sees what it sees, that perceives the reality in which it moves with accuracy and precision, a mind capable of lucidly judging things that are happening around one, and I believe that it is one of the most beautiful things that the Holy Spirit gives us.

Sometimes people think that when you have the Power of the Holy Spirit you take your mind and throw it away, no. I believe that the wisest and most understanding mind, and most capable of understanding the universe, are the people who have the mind of Christ. Doesn't the Bible say that God has given us the mind of Christ, we have the mind of Christ within us? the logos where the logical word comes from, the logos that controls the universe is what we have, we have the mind of Christ.

And some people think that the mind of Christ means that no bad thoughts come to us, no, the mind of Christ is the mind that created the universe with its exquisite order in our biology, in our digestive system, the wonder that is the eye, the exquisite machinery that is the human brain that no machine in this world will ever be able to reproduce its efficiency, in three pounds of meat we have something that is capable of making a symphony and curing a sick person, and sending a man into space, understand the secrets of the atom and the human genome, this brain that God has given us, that thinking, logical, efficient, effective mind of God is the mind that God has given you man, woman of God, the mind that helps you to live life effectively, to understand the mysteries of your personality, to understand God, the Word, to understand the mysteries of being a good father, a good husband, a good employee, how to heal yourself from the contaminations that the world has thrown at you for the abuse that you suffered as a child, the rape when you were a young woman, the mistakes of the past, the mind of Christ gives you wisdom to solve all those problems and to live a healthy life in the Lord.

That is why God has given us power, love and a healthy mind, a reconstituted mind. What is the opposite? the reprobate mind of which Paul speaks in Romans, says: as men did not see God and did not give Him glory as they should, God gave them to a reprobate mind, a defective mind, a crooked mind, a mind he says so that do things that are not convenient, like a computer that does things well but sometimes also throws garbage, that cannot be trusted, that is the mind of the carnal man who does not have the Spirit of God, but the man, the woman who has the Holy Spirit has a reconstituted mind, a healthy, wise mind, which thinks, it is a wisdom from heaven, there is a wisdom of man and a wisdom from heaven.

Brother: if you have power, love and a healthy mind you are the king of the universe, you can live a powerful, effective, victorious life, solving problems, conquering kingdoms, glorifying God in extraordinary ways and the Spirit of God is within you using, throbbing, moving. I don't know about you but I want more of that Spirit in my life, I ask the Lord, brothers: let's not underestimate the depth of life in the Spirit.

You receive something very great, very powerful by having Christ in your lives and I beg you: do not waste what you have inside, I tell you as Paul tells Timothy: to each one of you, fan the fire of the gift of God who is within you. What God has given you is something tremendously powerful and wonderful, it must not be wasted, do not settle for a Sunday life, do not settle for sticking your big toe in the water when there is a whole body that has to be submerged in the waters of the Holy Spirit. Live for the Lord, live in the Lord, give everything to the Lord.

That is why Paul says: I ask you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, pleasing to God so that you may prove the good Will of God, pleasing and perfect. Many of us do not verify the good Will of God because we have not given ourselves to the Lord as a living sacrifice. Many of us complain: but I go to Church, but I lit a candle for the saint and I continue with all the usual problems, it's not about that, it's that you give yourself as a living sacrifice, that you live life Christian to the living fire, that you give everything to the Lord, give it all, open all the doors of your life, live like a living dead, be a fanatic, be called a fanatic.

Brothers: we are going to be a Congregation filled with the Spirit, a fervent Congregation, amen? filled with the Spirit and that full Spirit, 360 degrees, is a perfect circle that encompasses everything, that is what I want and what I want for you in your life as well.

Stand up for a moment, receive that spirit right now, say: I have that spirit within me. If you know Christ you have him, if you don't know him why don't you come here right now and we pray for you, and we solve that problem right now? I invite someone, if you feel the Lord, you who have come to Church these last Sundays and you want to receive Christ in your heart here we will be waiting for you and come a moment, bring someone. If you came with someone and you know they need Christ, tell them right now: I am going to come with you and we are going to pray for you.
